As an American, I find this so wholesome and funny! I love you guys!
same tho same!
Hahaha right
I love it
"Look, it's a gas station. Those people have a porch" it's so funny
As a British citizen living in the UK, everything is completely different in our Country compared to the USA. That's why we are fascinated with America.
If you (as a US citizen) living in the USA, came to England you would probably be the same, fascinated by our way of life.
Please don’t Mock us, IF YOU are doing so.
You wouldn't like it if WE did it to you in England.
What appears normal to you is different to us.
What appears normal to us is different to you.
Our way of life in the UK is different to your way of life in the USA.
However some parts of America do look very Beautiful.
We have some beautiful countryside in England, mostly used by farmers.
I thought the same thing. I’m glad you all are loving the US
Fantastic vlog! Keep up the entertainment next stop Target!!!
They put butryic acid in their choc. Hence why it tastes like actual sick. Same w parm
What’s it like driving on the other side of the road Shawn? I know you’re probably used to it now but I’ve never tried it and would like to try sometime, maybe rent a car abroad to visit some European parks, but the idea makes me nervous. Roundabouts feel like they might be particularly disorienting? Any tips?
P.s. loving all your vlogs from the trip!
It’s pretty straight forward really!
Seems like I’ve been taking Walmart for granted my entire life 😂
And to answer y’all’s question at 18:36, as someone who used to be a stocker at Walmart, we’d have a scanner that would tell us the exact location of every item in the store when we scanned the barcode. It took a long time but it wasn’t too difficult!
Also, it’s interesting that you say at 19:36 that Walmart doesn’t sell alcohol or cigarettes. Maybe that’s just the one y’all went to? There’s usually a dedicated alcohol aisle at every Walmart, and the cigarettes are stored in behind the cashier.
Yeah and some even have like a separate liquor store attached. That’s weird theirs didn’t. They must have been in a dry county or city.
@@breannayoung138 Pretty delayed response but it's because they're in PA. All liquor in Pennsylvania is sold in state owned stores and there are exclusive beer distributors for beer. Just recently they allowed the sale of some wine and up to 12 packs of beer in convenience stores but no Walmarts in the state sell any alcohol as far as I know. They do sell cigarettes but its usually just at one register.
Still so happy that you created this channel!! Love TPW but this one is increasingly becoming my favourite!! Keep it up and enjoy the rest of your time in the states 🥳
Thank you so much!
I generally could watch you guys do anything, its always so entertaining. I do love these traveling videos/ day in the life
I love how patriotic Americans are … flags everywhere is awesome.!! We don’t do that here in Australia but should
🇦🇺 🇺🇸
My father fought together with Australians in WWII & he had a great love for your country & its people.
God bless!
Love your enthusiasm for Walmart! Just so you know, as with Costco, those super large sized products are used by people who buy for schools, church groups, food kitchens, party catering, etc. They make large quantities to feed large groups and provide services for groups. Yes, some large families use them too, but mostly they are used for people who are providing group services.
Thank you!
Not entirely true. Costco is used by small and single households too, to stock up on stuff. We are very spoiled here with our large quantities.
I love how honest charlotte is with her critiques, cracks us up, keep it up charlotte :)
Wendy's chilli has big chunks because they are chopped hamburgers...the policy is fresh cooked, so leftovers become chilli. It's actually a great value as they often have a lot of quality ground beef
Pennsylvania is LITERALLY the best representation of small town America in my opinion.
Long John Silver's is fish! You can get your Fish and Chips there!!
Sounds good!
I used to work at corporate Walmart, glad to see you love it! And most this stuff really isn’t that big if you’ve got a family. That pasta sauce for instance is just enough for one or two dinners with kids.
Love real American towns like this. Much prefer their high streets and roads to ours however, they definitely need to be introduced to the art of the roundabout!
They are great!
Coming from small town USA I can tell you we hate roundabouts! lol
And yet I couldn’t agree more, we NEED roundabouts!!! Keep the traffic flowing. 4-way stops in traffic cause my blood pressure to spike 🤣
@@TheSanbrookeAdventures just so you guys know you have someone scamming trying to be you and they stole your pictures. They tried to get me.
They put a roundabout in by me here in the United States near a shopping center & people are so confused about what to do. Before that, I only saw them on Benny Hill. 😆
Loving these American roadtrip vlogs! Me and my brother have been following along with all of these videos so far 😊. Hope you enjoy yourselves!!
you guys think walmart is awesome but it literally killed americas small towns and small business.
While i don't disagree that it's somewhat sad to see the demise of small towns and small businesses, I also feel that if it wasn't Walmart, it would be the internet and Amazon. It's just the direction that society has moved.
It's neat to see how different other parts of the US are. The different architecture, city planning, fast food places (haven't seen an A&W in ages - right next to the Long John Silvers' you passed by), seeing houses with no fences & some actual room between you & your next door neighbor. Southern California is so overdeveloped that there's virtually nothing to see along the sides of the road or freeways other than massive housing tracts or shopping centers.
Shawn in Orlando now I week holiday, and got new NO1 coaster Velocicoaster amazing but DAD was sick😭
Yes, Wal-Marts are EVERYWHERE, and I understand Charlotte’s enthusiasm for the stores. However, HUGE “big box” stores like Wal-Mart have KILLED small, charming, mom and pop stores filled with character!! Many upscale towns in California have BANNED Wal-Mart (and Dollar stores) from building in their towns for this exact reason. (Carmel, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Montecito California are a few examples of the “charming” towns). Residents in those towns HAPPILY pay more to keep small, charming, character filled LOCAL, family owned stores in business!
Long John Silvers is pretty tasty fish and chips😊
You're right of course, we do take for granted all that America offers.
America's scenery spans from one extreme to another and everything in between. Grinding poverty to unbelievable opulence and wealth! The landscape itself ranges the same expanse and differences. THAT part, we don't take for granted. The difference between say the Smokey Mountains and Key West Florida couldn't be more extremely different!
Charlotte makes me laugh so much! Love these vlogs, grateful for all your efforts and work to take us along 💗
Thank you!
Most Walmarts have alcohol, but there are a few states where you can only buy it at liquor stores - Pennsylvania must be one of those. Great vlog - really enjoy watching your adventures!
Pennsylvania does have unique liquor laws. They have state stores where you buy alcohol etc.
I live in Delaware and no alcohol at all in our grocery stores either not even beer or wine! You can only buy it at the liquor store or in restaurant or bars. 😆
Very cool 🏞️🚗🏠🏠🏡🏡🏡🏕️🛣️🛤️ 🇺🇲. 👍👍👍
Thought that was an Adam the Woo video from the title there, enjoy the trip guys 😃
Keep the videos coming guys! Safe travels around the US 😀
On the way to Holidayworld in Indiana you MUST stop in French Lick West Baden Indiana
Long John silvers is a fish and chips ,try it (but get the cod )
I remember you took the RTA in Cleveland from Hopkind Airport & walked to the Amtrak station at night on your first visit to Cedar Point. Lol, im glad you made it unscathed.
Those bugs come from the lake in May & june, but dont bite or sting. They are attracted to the lights at Cedar Point.
0:54 If you love Walmart, there is actually a Walmart Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas that you will love. Learn about the history of Walmart and Sam Walton at the museum. Makes a good side trip from Branson, Missouri and Silver Dollar City Theme Park. The permanent museum is temporary closed due to the renovations, but the good news is that they have a temporary pop up museum that is open until the permanent museum renovations are complete in spring 2024. I don't know if you will have time on this trip, but if you don't, you aren't missing out due to temporary museum. Maybe you can visit on a future USA Road Trip to Silver Dollar City. I am actually a deliver driver for Walmart, delivering groceries and packages from the store to people's homes, hotels, and businesses.
Loving watching you travelling through different places. Charlotte you are a good videographer
@37:50 the meat in Wendy's chili is the leftover hamburger patties they didn't sell. Probably should avoid. Fun fact; Wendy's collar says "MoM".
If you really want to see the real US, you have to get off the freeways and take the backroads through all the little small towns. It makes for a really nice road trip.
You're not wrong we kind of live on our front porches in America, sometimes even when it's not warm out LOL. BTW Long John Silver's is a chain on its way out but it is essentially an American Fish and Chips shop. Walmarts certainly cheap and a convenience, but something I'm certain you have seen similar in the UK and that is is that they have killed a lot of our downtown's which I was really surprised to see that the one downtown you drove through seem to be pretty vibrant still considering I knew you were on the way to a nearby Walmart. A lot of Pennsylvania is rare that it's still is very small town yet also has very big towns in and around it. I love driving through Pennsylvania though some of the mountain edge highways make me white knuckle the steering wheel.
You two are such a lovely couple. You seem like a perfect match for each other. I gotta admit that your walmart reactions are pretty funny. Being an American we've had these walmart supercenters everywhere since the mid 1990's so it's become a normal part of life here. We've had Aldi in my area in Indiana since the 90's as well. They're pretty common here. That has to be one of the most beat down Wendy's I've ever seen! I really enjoy these vlogs. I'm looking forward to the next one!
I hope you guys take some time in Williamsburg! They have the coolest little shops and history. The General Store is a must!
Thanks for taking the time to go more in depth & behind the scenes in between the parks. I found the travel vlogs before to rushed and not enough of the details beyond the parks that really quite honestly are so much of a trip like this.
Wallmart is great!😀😃😄👍
Awesome adventure. I love how gobsmacked you both were about things here in the states. I buy the 96 pod coffee box hahahaha Always great adventures thank you for sharing. Keep being awesome.
Poor Charlotte with the Wendy’s chili! FYI: it’s made from burger patties that didn’t sell the day before, since they don’t freeze their burgers. But they’re supposed to break it up much smaller than that, those pieces were HUGE, lol!! You should try Long John Silvers, it’s basically American fish n chips.
Anyway, love these videos, you guys are so much fun to follow along with! Hope your trip continues to be awesome!! ❤️
Loving vlogs, looks beautiful out there. Making me want to go holidays!
when i go to orlando everyyear we love wallmart and our favourate service station 7eleven
Depending on state regional laws alcohol may or may not be in certain walmarts but if it is it's usually in the back corner by the milk coolers.
I come from a larger small city and we have 5 Walmarts...5 too many.
I enjoy seeing these videos so much as an American 😂😂😂 also, when you come to Indiana, please stop in Casey’s gas in the morning. They have an amazing breakfast pizza you can grab and go by the slice
With hotels you could do what Gordon Ramsay does & do a separate series on hotel reviews for this channel? Nearly what he does? Stay in hotels & make videos around just your stay in hotel aswell reviews via playlist on this channel? Could be "Sanbrooke Adventures Hotel Hell"?? Where you both make & create separate hotel videos with reviews featuring opinions about your hotel stays anywhere you stay in future? Whether you would stay again or advise anyone to stay aswell what changes need added in both your opinions? Just an idea? Think some of hotels I have seen in your videos need Gordon Ramsay's help 100% especially one with all classic décor & cleaning issues. Needs Hotel Hell to visit & make a change in my opinion. But other hotels I have seen, made more effort and have nice rooms, which is good to see. Loved the vlog, look forward to next TPWW vlog which I am about to watch now on that channel especially Kennywood. Have shared this video on Twitter, have liked. 😀👍
Will you be visiting shanksville to see the 9/11 memorial?
Never seen a garage sale in the uk 😂
You guys should make a trip of driving through the Appalachian Mountains, particularly The Great Smokey region in TN. It's so beautiful especially in fall when the leaves are changing color!!
Loving the vlogs on both channels!! Hope you guys continue to have a wonderful and safe trip!! ❤
Yeah, I've mentioned before if he goes to Dollywood again to stop in the Great Smokey Mountains and to rent a cabin or something for a day or two. It's really nice. The Blue Ridge Highway is great.
@@jonny-b4954 if they love the way this area looks then they will love being in Eastern TN for sure!! ♥
Meijer(s) for the win!
love the films....where is charlotte from? that accent is bugging me, Stoke perhaps lol?
Long John Silvers is fish and chips :)
I love seeing American life. Very jealous
I am the same as Charlotte, I LOVED Walmart when I went to America I spent hours in there hahaha. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, driving through the streets, makes me feel like I'm there with you! Best wishes x
I know this video is old, but just wanted to say respond to his remark about Aldi being newer here in the USA. Actually the US has had Aldi stores since the mid 1970s. Long before the UK, which I believe got their first Aldi store in the early 90s. Surprised most people dont know we have them. Aldi has been a common grocery store here for 50 years now.
Glad you enjoy our grocery stores and our coasters. 😊
This is *LITERALLY* Theme Park Worldwide without the theme parks.
You should've added a count for how many times you said roadkill 😂
The beef in Wendy's chili is just day old cooked burgers that have been chopped up. Better to get a burger, which will be fresher and MUCH better.
It's really fun to see you enjoying the sights and things that I take for granted living here. It's also funny because if I went to England, I'd be interested in things you might not think about. Even as an American, when I went out west we were having similar reactions to you in this video, because it's quite different from the east coast. Like driving through a town in the desert with a rickety roadside restaurant or going in a post office/general store in the middle of nowhere. Very fun to see how different places can be.
9:19 As an American, i totally agree with you Charlotte. Frosted sugar cookies are crap. I don't don't think i even know anybody who actually buys them.
I do! I use them as a door stop. 😂
Put some Desitin (zinc oxide) on Your Noses to keep them from getting burnt.
It makes me smile so much seeing all the typical American things that are fascinating to you guys! Just wanted to note that most Walmarts do sell cigarettes and alcohol, it just depends on local rules. Different states, cities and counties have different rules about what type of establishments can sell them, so that must have a place that doesn’t allow it in a supermarket.
Wendy's has turned into a bit of a favourite since they started opening over here (love a Baconator) although they have recently been pipped by Popeyes. Conveniently, Oxford has both
Welcome to America where everything is big including the people lol.. jk. I prefer Target. It’s definatley a different shopping experience
Shawn and Charlotte,
Most Walmart stuff is generally cheap garbage from China
There are any number of better quality super markets around the U.S.
Sorry, Charlotte
Cheers,
Rik
Hi @The Sanbrooke Adventures how are you today
When you are nexr in california here are some more tourist attractions for you to vlog on
Museum Of Ice cream, Los Angeles
Ostrichland USA
Hammer Museum, Los Angeles
Death Museum, Los Angeles
There are many more to cover as well
Long John silver's is the American seafood fast-food. Aka... The most overbattered fish + chips you've ever had.
Long John Silver's is the American equivalent of a fish and chips place. They have fried fish, shrimp, and chicken along with a variety of sides (including French fries). They are pretty much nationwide so if you get a chance you should definitely try them, as they should be right up your alley.
Long John Silver’s is a North American fish & chips chain that’s almost dried up. I’m surprised to see one!
Sounds good!
Why is everything massive in Walmart, well in the wise words of Childish Gambino (Donald Glover): *This is America*
Next time try Trader Joe's and Whole Foods -- would love to see your comments on those!! Love your videos!
Great vlog as always to the both of you. I was exactly the same when I stepped foot in a Walmart for the first time, but that was in Cancun, Mexico. You two are brilliant.
It’s brilliant!
Long John Silvers is a fast food fish place. It was most popular in the 80's and 90's but has since lost alot of locations and business. A slice of Americana for sure.
What state did you all go to walmart? Alcohol sales vary by state. For example now that I live in MN, they do not sell it in grocery stores, target or walmart. Where I grew up in Ohio they sold it.
My favorite moment in your fabled history was the grand finale at Butlin's when you two went up in that space capsule up above Burger King with the Star Wars theme playing. 😅
Some counties are called 'dry counties "& forbid alcohol sales. But there is alcohol & tobacco products at all the stores by us.
People from the UK loving Walmart is bizarre to me lol. That place is trash (although it seems like you found a decent one, which are rare) Last time I went to walmart was like 7 years ago.. and I live within five mins of four of them. Long John Silver's is a "Seafood" chain.. fried fish and stuff, it's also not that great.
It's the fun of the friendly-differences, having (roughly) the same language in common but some things just being Really Different. I have visited a Walmart once (probably in NJ on the way to SF Great Adventure) but was on a quick and focused snack mission. Watching this video, I really got a sense for how a Walmart opening up in a town might really mess up a number of different local businesses all at once - supermarket, electronics/appliances, garden stuff, car stuff, outdoor pursuits, etc.
We really enjoyed it!
Loved this. We are always amazed by the scale of Walmart - it’s like entering a different world! We really enjoyed travelling around Ohio last summer and seeing the real America. I love how patriotic Americans are; so many houses have a flag up. Had a day in Cleveland to visit the rock and roll hall of fame, which was fantastic. As you turned into Cedar Point Drive, it made me so jealous. Would love to return some day. Safe travels.
Cleveland , that's where I live "
oh sorry I mean England 🏴 lol 🤣 it's morning for you now in America ( USA )" have a good day ....
I couldn't get used to driving on the right hand side , of the road . 🇬🇧
I am putting my shoes on now , to go to the local shop . after watching all them cakes , because now I fancy a cake 😅
I'm so glad you liked the Rock Hall. I'm from the area & we are so lucky to have Cedar Point so close to home! 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 We stand with England always!
@@PatrickRyan150 we really enjoyed the rock hall and would love to return. We just said yesterday, we would happily return to Ohio and explore more of your state; we were made to feel so welcome. The people were lovely.
Liquor sales are controlled by the state in Pennsylvania. That means we can only buy liquor at the state run wines & spirits stores. Quite inconvenient!
Out of the Parks so far up to Kennywood and Kenobals are the two best , Hershey too coporate and poor waiting times , Dorney pretty good
Sort your pallette out Shawn come on. There's a Resteraunt Worldwide channel in there and you don't like food
When i go to the us i cant miss target, ulta, sephora and bath and body works
I gotta say, that Walmart is bigger than the average Walmart. The ones near where I live don't even have fast-food restaurants in them anymore.
I would be buying the THE WHOLE contents of the snack aisles 😂😋
The Wendy's chili was chunky bc they make it with their hamburgers.
You can get all sorts of liquor and beer and cigarettes and whatnot at Walmart! Some states don’t allow it though
😂😂 the frosted sugar cookies: an American staple
Fabulous vlogging very informative and enjoyable. Great adventure so far looking fwd to the next park
It's great seeing different places, all the countries around the world look so exciting if you don't live there. When on holiday everything looks better then home. Walmart looks good but would not like the size of food, wow. Safety in America I would not want especially at Schools. This vlog reminds me of our Scottish scenes. Great seeing you both having fun. Thank you for sharing this all with us. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your great adventure.
Too much plastic in them supermarkets 👎
It’s very different to back home
A lot of us hate all the plastic over here. It’s ridiculous. And a lot of states don’t recycle it. Plus it’s unhealthy for us…
America = Build it or make it BIG or go home!!! LMAO
Long john silver is a fish restaurant
American fast food fish and chips
It depends on the state laws for booze in stores. PA is very strict on liquor stores
This video was great 😂 I love you guys and your vids!
Please clean the mark on your windscreen its driving me mad i beg you 🤣
That’s definitely the Walmart in Hamburg
You both sure a fan of theme parks and you both are my favourites x
Brilliant video guys and yes there are loads of things big in the USA lol
New Jersey has a lot of Jug Handles, but there was one around 7:35. There's a few between West Chester and Delaware on 202 as well
