I went there once.... I'm not a huge fan just a whole bunch of shopping and I wasn't interested nor impressed however I would look into more of the area I didn't get to see
We have been to the Bahamas many times. We always walk the downtown, walk the straw market and buy drinks at the port area. Next time I will stay on the new port and do some shopping. And go to Señor Frogs or Sharky’s.
I'm planning a cruise for a big family (17) to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We are sailing to Princess Cays and Nassau Bahamas in February 2025. Do you have any tips or videos that would help plan for people with accessibility/mobility challenges?
@@erinhiatt9634 that is awesome! 50 years of marriage! Congrats to them! If you aren’t already booked, id love to help you plan and get booked. We operate a cruise focused travel agency- Major Adventures Travel. While I don’t have videos dedication to accessibility (yet) I do mention tips throughout our videos. I have several for Nassau and Princess Cays. I will say Princess Cays can be a challenge if using scooters or wheelchairs as you have to use a tender to get to the main island. It is also extremely rocky in the water so be careful!
This is a great video, thank you. We'll be visiting for the first time in January and had been put off by a lot of the videos we'd seen. This video has really helped us to be able to make the most of our time in Nassau.
I have gone to Nassau too many times but the last few times I decided to stay on board but after watching this video, I think I’m gonna visit Nassau again. 😊
Thanks for sharing.. It's been 10 years since I've been to nassau. This video is right on time for me because I'm going to Nassau in 3 weeks. Great video
This was so good. ❤❤❤Thoroughly enjoyed and will probably watch again. Great info that has me looking forward to one day visiting the Bahamas. Thank you. ❤❤❤
I am a retired educator/school principal and now I operate a cruise focused travel agency. I get paid there and from social media. Check out the video I posted tonight and it will give a break down on how I’m able to travel as much as I do. Thank for watching!
Thank you for the info I’ve been to Nassau a few times and you just gave me more information that I didn’t know 10 of us are going in October I’m definitely telling them to subscribe to your channel ❤️
This is helpful! I’ve never been to Nassau but am going on the Utopia in a few weeks. I’m torn between going to the Blue Lagoon, exploring the port area, or staying in the ship. Thank you for the suggestions
Thank you so much for the real world review. Most reviews sound like a robot. lol. Me and my wife are visiting the Bahamas for the first time on a cruise. You are Doing a great job. LOTS of relevant information.
Hi, first let me just say that I truly appreciate and enjoy your videos. My family and I are cruising during spring break 2025, and do you have any tour guides that you recommend for Nassau? Thank you
We are going in March 2025. Booked the 2 hours swimming with the pigs then should have time to explore a little. Sure do wish our ship offered that pirate ship tour you spoke of. My son would love that!
Great video, thank you. My question is if we take a cab to Junkanoo beach are there cabs available to bring us back to the port? We are in our 60’s and may not want to walk. Do you know what the cab rates are?
Thank you for being a subscriber! We appreciate it! Yes we visited British Colonial a couple months ago. I created a couple shorts about it but haven’t put together a short vlog yet. I’ll have it out within a month or so.
Thanks for letting me know. Even Google pronounces it different ways! That’s where I went to see if I was saying it correctly lol. Guess it’s like POtato/PoTAto. But thank you!
We’ve all over the Caribbean and Bahamas but somehow missed Nassau. We will be there on the 6 to the 9.of sept this is a free cruise through a promotion,we’ll sort of. We have to pay port fees, taxes, tipping and flights. But we will be in a carnival ship.we are a little hesitant because there has been so much bad press, youtube creators and passengers gave the cruise line a very poor rating. Well if it wasn’t for the free cruise we never would have gone on a carnival cruise.we usually go on celebrity, MSC,and NCL. But we have got a lot of feed back from the cruise community reading my comments and they just said to just go and enjoy. We shall see.
What do you like to do in Nassau if you’ve visited before? If you are a new visitor, what questions do you have? Drop them in the comments!
