Spaced "Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle" which was part of the D&D Next playtest. More info here! dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/ghosts-dragonspear-castle
You finished exactly were I started my campaign, that was awesome! I just sent it to my players... This was like a prequel video. They were after Born, killed him and took the castle to themselves. Which now is called Dragonspear Academy, lol.
There's a D&D Next product called Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle that while most of it and it's follow up Scourge of the Swordcoast deals with red wizards trying to use keys dedicated to the princes of elemental evil, the last adventure of GoDSC has a Rakasha that shows up in the first adventure lure Sir Istreval (who makes an appearance in all the d&d next promo videos and i believe the council in waterdeep during Rise if Tiamat) into a trap trying to trick him into sacrificing himself to keep the portal to Avernus closed
"Baatezu" isn't "a devil" in the way that Bone Devils are "A devil". Baatezu was the term used for all Devils during the satanic panic. The 9 hells were called Baator at that time. After a while Wizards split the difference and said that Baatezu is the proper name for them in Infernal, but mortals call them devils.
Aah..my favorite locales in forgotten realms. I surprised you didn't mention how it also houses one of the bridges to the Realm of the Dead. It's how Midnight went to Myrkul's castle to get the last Tablet of Fate.
Thank you Jorphdan for all the great content ! What is possibly the hardest name you have had pronounce ? Or is there a video on the top ten hardest names to pronounce ?
So I am playing catch up on this channel. But as I watch it, I can't hep but feel that a "important/interesting people" theme or playlist would help out a lot. Not so much deities, but important mortals. Love the channel, I watch it daily now.
@@Jorphdan I really am a big fan. I hope that comment did not seam patronizing or anything. I just like the way you explain D&D, and you cover some cool characters briefly in videos. You have the "always leave em wanting more" thing down lol. I love the deity videos and the location videos are great!
I plan my first D&D campaign to have my players explore Dragonspear castle and cleanse it of undead. This would be a quest given to them by one of Faerun's holy orders! :)
According to 3.5 edition, there is no blended offspring when it comes to dwarves interbreeding with other races, the offspring is either a dwarf or the other parent's race. There are no "half dwarves".
@@dforestation2064 I know but lore wise tho, how do genetics work. Like if an elf and half orc or 2 different types elves have a kid. How do half fiends and fey work, can some races not inter breed?
@@atomicash2475 When it comes to D&D a lot of the real world rules of genetics just don't apply. Elves and orcs for example can never interbreed because Corellon and Gruumsh don't allow it. Other races of elf can interbreed but it is so rare it is up to the DM what the result is, as is the result of the vast majority of other cases of cross breeding.
Question: my boyfriend is going to start his first campaign, but for Shadowrun. Is Geek Tank Games the best place to start a map? We're definitely new to this, but we can't afford miniatures.
this is the saddest story i heard in DnD. this dude just wanted to protect his dragon friend, he didn't even covet his own wealth at all, and basically all the good intentions turned into bantha poodo, everybody gets murdered and his digs go to hobgobs? oof

Nice!
Dragon Spear was also a place the party went in the Avatar Trilogy books, it was pretty awesome
Good job on the video Jorphdan, I love hearing you talk, you have such a nice voice
It was also featured in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
So happy to see more lore by ya.
I really like the simplicity and luxury of the sponsor's merch
Why no mention of the Baldur's Gate expansion "Siege of Dragonspear"?
I was thinking this too. I didn’t defeat that crazy lady for no recognition dammit
Maybe it was too recent. Or Jorphdan has not played it.
Shame, it was a really, really good game.

@@ProfJimbles if he sees this thread you can bet he’ll look into it edit: and then I’ll learn about it too 😆

This was great! I never heard of this castle or this module. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Problem : overrun by devils
Solution : send in the undead
Simple enough!
Aw, I love the bromance between the dwarf and the copper dragon.

great idea, I'll see about a "the important people of the realms" and see about focusing on that.

Tabletop tokens look pretty cool.
Please do Bloodstone Lands!! :) Love your stuff
1:47 nice Banished screenshot you got there.
Always loved forgotten realms lore videos, but I'm also waiting for more Eberron explained. That setting needs attention too.
Half-dwarf, now I want a video on genetics

Andrew Halderman I always wanted a half-orc/bugbear who then mates with a half orc/hobgoblin...bringing the sub races back together
5:39 of course 4th edition fucks up things which are already good
May I request a video on Old Snarl himself? Klauth, Dragon of the North!
Don't forget Castle Spulzeer
A sad story. But an awesome storytelling nonetheless! Thanks for the video!
Thanks, A great devilish history.😈
And "Ghost of dragonspear castle"?

Can you make one video in which ph is not silent?
We'll see!
Obviously the shrine of Tempus was destroyed by an undead baatezu. At least, it sounds cool, doesn’t it?
Will it? Will we push back the undead from the castle?!
Very cool! :D
