In a world filled with horrible music and horrible artist, It’s nothing but refreshing hearing your true gift. Keep the music coming….we all need it more than you know.
Your playing and your voice are gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing them.
I don't think there any other artists I've heard with such feeling and talent, something feeling in your voice. Just awsome
Much of the music I hear on the radio today is degrading to my spirit. Being a teenager in the sixties your repitoire awakens all those happy life affirming feelings we took for granted and thought would never go away. Keep playing and singing the way you do, the world needs what you have got.
Amen.
All that free love and tolerance wasn't worth it huh
You are so right!
What a breath of fresh air this young man is. ❤
A beautiful cover of a beautiful song1
Stephen Foster would be so proud , Id bet it has never been done as well, and to think its been around since 1854, BEAUTIFUL
Really lovely voice and lovely rendition.
Don’t know this song … but you make it great listening … 🙏
You do this song justice in these hard times George, keep singing, keep playing these wonderful songs you choose.
No one sang this song better than you brother. ❤
God has certainly graced you with a double portion of the sweet vocal tone of Mr, James Taylor amen brother
You play so beautifully, i love this one and your version of american tune, thank you for sharing 🙏
I've been playing James Taylor ect since 1971 and until now I've never heard such a wonderful authentic yet individual representation of these songs and on classical guitar.
Will be listening to you regular. Thank you so much.
George…you have a raw honesty mixed with immense talent….please post more.
True talent combined with professionalism!
フォスターのこの曲が好きです。そしてあなたのギターと唄に出会いました。日本語の詩を描いてみましたので唄ってみたいです。
I like this song by Foster. Then I met your guitar and singing. I drew a Japanese poem, so I want to sing it.
Brilliant thanks
Perfect!!!!!!
Really beautiful. Sweet sound and the guitar playing is smooth and warm. Great interpretation.
Brilliant ! thank you !
Great version. So soulful!
OMG your voice is like honey. Absolutely beautiful.
Wow! A much needed song to inspire everyone to stay strong. Beautiful cover!
Another sweet tune done perfectly...
Excellent singing and playing.
Thanks so much! I didn't remember anything of that song but the chorus. Hard times indeed.
You have a wonderful voice. Thanks for sharing. I'll subscribe.
Incredible Artist!! Thank you!!
absolutely wonderful, what a talent.
Well done. This song could have been written yesterday, and I suppose metaphorically it was.
Beautiful !!
Oh man . . . I love your version!
Wow, this gave me goosebumps. Absolutely love it! Keep posting your videos!!
Gifted beyond belief.
Awesome arrangement and really nice voice man
Wow man... You got an amazing voice! Great playing too... glad I found you!
Wow that was amazing... we sang this song at our high school choir concert this year and you did such a great rendition of this song
Great job. Thanks for sharing this video.
Beautiful rendition thank you. Exceptional guitar playing.
Thanks George. Your playing and singing bring the images “outside my own cabin door” to life
Brilliant version. Beautiful simplicity of delivery and depth of feeling.
Keep it up George! You are a voice of calm in a chaotic world!
George, so good to see you and hear your voice. so calming. so beautiful. Hope you are well. Thank you for sharing.
I must say, soothing the sound of a great song with a wonderful voice, keeping sharing your gift.
George, you have a great voice! I will share your music.
I first heard you playing the Santa Cruz redwood and was knocked out. Now, heating your voice sends me to new limits. WOW! Why aren’t you making records? Thanks for the beauty.
Love from 🇮🇳🙏🏼
George, your singing and playing is a tonic in a careworn world. The James Taylor version of this song was one of 6 well chosen tunes at my partner's funeral 3 years ago.
I think you could do a Nick Drake song justice. Just saying!
great version
This is One of the best versions imo
I think this is THE best version my ear has ever caught. George, you are a legend.
Love your version of my favorite Stephen Foster tune. Don't laugh but my favorite version is Bob Dylan's. Something about his roughed-up singing seems just right for it. The McGarrigles' version is another favorite. .
Just wonderful, but next time please give us a better view of your fretboard!
I came back here again after hearing the Iron and Wine version of this song - it was good but this is simply better.
Will definitely but a ticket to your concert "An evening with GC" if you make one! Thank you!
It's great to hear you sing this, as it is a great song, and sadly, never out of fashion. I am rather fond of the Nancy Griffith version. Your voice is sweet and this is a hard song.
agree on all points
just excellent, perfectly done. Could you show here - what chord progression you play? Thanks again, really great.
George Clements Kitchen Sessions. Sounds great.
Perfect as always! What guitar do you play? It sounds so so vintage and suits your voice just perfect!
Hey George, Could you cover Jim Croce's Hey Tomorrow or A Long Time Ago? Please, please, please!!!
The two people that disliked this,tf is wrong with you guys?
Lovely version. Looks to be pretty much standard D shapes with Capo 1. I’ve got it all figured out except that damn chord at “MANY tears” and “CABIN door.” That other mic is in the way. Help a guy out?
Nevermind, I think I got it. x1303x, which makes it A7/A#.
Great stuff! Any chance you can share the tab for the song?
Beautiful rendition, and a fabulous voice.
Can I ask a techie question? How are you mixing your guitar? Sounds like it’s in mono - have you just got a small diaphragm condenser pointed at the soundhole?
Thanks! I actually used two AKG414’s one at the neck joint, one by the bridge. Hope that helps.
@@GeorgeClementsMusic Thanks for the reply. Now that you've said that I can actually see them in the shot! Should've looked more closely...
Did you follow a tab for this? If not, could you roughly list the chord progression so I could learn this? You are an amazing musician, thank you.
George, what kind of guitar are you playing on Hard times come again no more?
James Taylor's heir to the throne.
You are an extemely talented man. Just get yourself 1 mil views with Country Roads and get some exposure to the rest of the magic.
Wow. But any chance have you chatted your chords. I absolutely love this but, can't figure out what you're playing in open e. What an awesome job if you can share your cards that would be so great. Thank you so much
Could anyone tell me which guitar is George playing ?
5* stars from Germany for this Job.
I’ve always loved the version sung by the late great Tom Roush, but your version at least equals it.
Some strange chords in there, lovely lyric done well.
Far Cry 5 sent me here.
There are a myriad versions of this on RUclips. Some with 2 and 3 part harmonies are wonderful but this is the best guitar accompaniment I have come across, by a distance. Only criticism is that your guitar mike is blocking the view of your left hand so we can’t even attempt to work out your chord shapes!! Was that deliberate!?!?
A fine and touching version of a timeless classic, Thank you.
