As a guitar player, I realize how difficult it is to play this song. While watching all of the changes/transitions, you prove to be most masterful at your craft. A lot of Paul Simon's songs are tough. "Learn how to fall" (another one of my favorites) is one I enjoy playing; even though it is far less difficult than this song. BRAVO young man! I thoroughly enjoyed this.

hi bill from Australia.Paul admitted he took a part of a Bach piece in this song I wonder if could name the piece.Still one of Simons great songs.Take care.
@@williamtennent6882 Bach has used the melody in quite a few pieces of his. For example the chorals: "Ich will hier bei dir stehen' and 'O haupt voll Blut und Wunden' from the Matthäus Passion (BWV 244, 17) It's actually not a melody that Bach wrote. It appeared already in the early 1600s (when Bach wasn't even born yet) in the hymn called Mein G'müt ist mir verwirret by the composer Hans Leo Hassler. Interesting, huh ;)
All the great composers used snatches of other tunes. We're so in love with "originality" that we forget it's only a tiny part of what we do and are.

Because of you and your renditions of the 3 Paul Simon songs you have covered, you have made me realize what a Genius song writer / composer Paul Simon is, possibly the GREATEST of the 20th century.
And you are also a genius in the manner of your wonderful abilities as a musician. I hope that you also compose as I would love to hear your personal music! If not, be confidently assured that you have gained a new admirer of your performances - stunning renditions that inspire me, now in the Twilight of my life, to continue to write & play my '57 OO-18 MARTIN daily and, at times, recall my musical accomplishments of my younger days performing in the club's of New England, where the "crowds" would sing along and the women become hypnotized, thus enticed, by my Music, my props: a couple of guitars, a dual rack harmonica holder, and a voice all my own which brought smiles galore - a happy, fun filled evening where the "stress of city life" was quickly forgotten even if only for a few hours.
