The VP choice is a real test because if she picks Shapiro, who has all these issues, it's just not a smart thing to do even from an electoral standpoint. And you move from being on the offensive to the defensive too with him. It should be Walz or Beshear.

They'll likely pick Shapiro, when have they ever made TWO subequent good decisions?
We're lucky they ever make one GOOD decision rather than a slightly less evil decision than the Republicans lol. I'll take every slight win we get. I don't want Shapiro at all but I agree that's it's the most likely pick.
If she goes with Shapiro, I’m done. I live in MA so she’ll carry this state. Walz is the obvious choice if she wants to unite the party…and win, but Dems seem to fear progressives more than they fear Trump winning. It’s infuriating.

I agree choosing Shapiro over Walz is a terrible, cowardly decision. But to expect more from the Democratic party is pretty silly. To not vote for Kamala in this election is to be fully anti-democratic and anti-progressive. Every vote for her cancels out a vote for Trump, we all have to be smart about this and seal her win. It will send a clear message about what direction this country wants to move in. Not voting for her is allowing a Trump vote to stand. It's shitty, but that's how the 2 party system works. We need to vote blue and continue to LOUDLY fight for more progressive issues.

I designed my first product to help mitigate water usage in 1976. Since then, I've worked the fringes of environmental efforts.
The one constant in all those decades, has been the reality that as a species, the majority of us just don't give a shit. An inconvenient truth. And the subject of my only book in 2006, 'The Reluctant Priority'. Which bombed here in the US. But found an audience in Europe and Asia.
I'm fairly certain she's going with Shapiro. All the election math points to Shapiro and the importance of Penn, and let's face it, the DNC makes all their decisions with management consultant math nerds (whether or not they ever turn out to be right).
What about that uncommitted vote in Michigan and other swing States? Having Shapiro most certainly will NOT help her with them. However, Walz will help. Plus, he is popular in Pennsylvania and those blue wall states. Overall, Walz IS the best and strategic choice.

For good or ill Josh Shapiro has a 55% job approval rating and only 26% disapproval. PA is key when it comes to swing states at this point thanks to the number of electoral votes it has. Also his views on Israel aren't that far from Walz either. He had people arrested for trespassing when they were protesting for him to divest from Israel, as an example. I really just don't understand why people go at Shapiro for this stuff and not Walz.
Because Walz is nowhere near as bad as Shapiro. Plus, his record is pretty progressive, he is popular in those blue wall swing states, and he knows how to thoroughly expose the frauds, Trump and Vance.
I think you guys are great, but your Shapiro bashing for the VP pick is getting old. Progressives aren’t going to stay home on election day if Shapiro is on the ticket. They don’t want Trump to be president! Will you guys not vote for Harris if she picks Shapiro? Will you stay home? The goal is to get more independents and moderates to the polls and broaden the coalition. I just think you’re way off base with this.

Dude, seriously? Picking Shapiro will give Trump a chance. Harris has got to get that uncommitted vote, the youth vote, and the progressive/left vote. Picking Walz will secure all of those demos. Plus, he is popular with independents and moderates too. Let's not risk losing this election with Shapiro on the ticket. Make it known to the Harris campaign that we want Walz on the ticket to give us the very best chance of not just defeating Trump but wiping out the GOP in November!
