If the humans in the house are talking to each other and not paying proper attention to her, my Siamese goes into the kitchen and opens and closes the cabinets. Loudly and repeatedly. It's all about her. Everything. In. The. World. Is. About. Her.
She's very affectionate and very smart and absolutely not spoiled at all. LOL
lol my cats, too! the world revolves around them! if I go to the bathroom and shut the door to go no. 2 they are having a panic attack! :D

Hi subscribe me! 🤗🤗 I'm Siamese Cat from Philippines! ❤🤗
Lol I like how they play Chinese music for a Thai cat
scareglare not to mention the Chinese drawing of the man.
lol xD
I'm Thai and I feel offensive every time 😭
You may love it, I HATE it!
Why dot’t they just google “Siam” before making the documentary.
Funny how they said ancient Siam when the pictures and the map is pretty much China.
So true. I had the same thoughts as well :D
Lol I feel disrespected
I know right. The producer must have failed geography.
@@markh1462 They failed on describing the point colors as well.
On the other hand...awesome on the Vegas folk to push adopting from shelters, and doing so themselves. My wife and I did cat rescue for 8 years and we still talk about the really good adoptions we did.
I think this is on purpose because
In a lot of maps when there’s an area in the map where it suppose to be Thailand they say it Malaysia or china
I lived in a city centre with my Siamese girl. I had a harness for her when we went so she could walk, but but she preferred to sit on my shoulder. One the rare occasion she didn't like someone she would wave them away with her paw. She used to like catching paper aeroplanes or balls, and went camping with me several times. Once she went to a Thai restaurant with me, where she behaved like a perfect lady and sat on her chair. the waiter brought her a saucer and put it on the table. She behaved better than most humans I ever met. i will never forget her.
Thats amazing, was she a modern style or apple head? I have 2 moderns, lilac and blue point, and they are the most loving affectionate animals on earth, and the bluepoint loves to ride on my shoulders as well but i would never be able to take her out in public
@@BananerRepublic modern style choc point
Love your story. She sounded like a little human in kitty clothing. How wonderful she went to that restaurant with you. We live in France and dogs are allowed in restaurants but I have never seen a cat in one. If I had been there my meal would have gone cold because I would have been at your table talking to your Siamese baby! She will be in your heart forever.
I lost my beloved Siamese male after 16 years. I loved, love that cat more than I can say. Well, I just didn't know how to live without him, you see I've been in I'll health for a few years now. M S. Diabetes and brain tumor. Lost him Christmas time Dec. 26. Every day crying absolutely heart broke. Nothing could console me. Well, my wonderful husband of 18 years found me a purebred chocolate point Siamese kitten for Valentine's Day. I named him Jet Li 2 after my first boy. I hope to have as many happy memories with J. L. 2 as I did with 1.
Gale Whiteside so sad 🙀😿
Gale Whiteside Much love and health
Hope you're still getting love from your cat
Hi subscribe me! 🤗🤗 I'm Siamese Cat from Philippines! ❤🤗
Gale I'm sorry for your lost
If the cat came from Thailand why are you showing images of China and in the royal scene you use a Chinese emporer
As the royalty scene Thai and China is a different country
lol many people were involved. somebody had to make the animations, approve them etc. and nobody noticed xD
Damn China thinks it owns everything. Well, the bigger they are---

Ignorance probably.
@@Master_Blackthorne you are correct Sir!
I've had a traditional Siamese and he gave me pretty much the absolute best times of my life.
they are my favorite breed. i’ve had them my entire life and i plan to continue that trend! i love my siamese cat. he’s an ancient friend of mine😉
Me and my partner just adopted a stray Siamese a month ago. She was found in south of Spain. I always wanted to have a Siamese but I know adopting is more important than what breed the cat is, and like an answer to a prayer a shelter informed us that there’s a sweet 2 year old Siamese. She is the sweetest cat ever and she LOVES attention!! We don’t have children yet and she is really like our little baby 🥰
Certainly they're a gift, aren't they? Would you give your baby some love for me.
Ah, this makes me wish I'd gotten to know Ying, Dad's cat from when he was a teenager. He was a lovely traditional Siamese with crossed eyes and a nervous disposition. Dad described him as being like an over-eager private who'd memorized the field manual on the first day of boot camp. He'd also take an incredibly long time lining up a jump and then miss. Someday, I want one of these cats.
So cute
My family's first cat was a Siamese mix I found hiding under a bush when I was a toddler. He had a strong personality, was a terror to dogs he didn't like, and enjoyed walking with people at the park or down he street.
He lived to be 19 years old, but was put down when he developed mouth cancer.
My husband and I now have a Siamese mix, and he's an absolute sweetie.
But they're right about the noise! Siamese cats are often sweet as can be, but they've also got a mouth. Your home will always be filled with chatter.
My Siamese would circle my legs crying until I sat so she could lay in my lap.
I had a purebred Siamese when I was a teenager. This cat learned how to open the bedroom door so she could leave. They’re VERY smart.
I have a traditional chocolate point kitten, who isn't terribly loud, she is vocal when she if s hungry or tired or wants attention. The siamese is my favorite breed so far
To those who say Siamese are mean: I'm typing this with my Meezer buddy curled up in my lap. If he's awake when I get home, he greets me at the door and cries until he gets picked up. He follows me around the house. Curls up next to me at night. Loves to be snuggled. They can be territorial about their favorite human, though, singular. They may attach to a single person in a household to the exclusion of other humans. This may explain why a Siamese appears to be "mean" to someone. But on the whole, they are affectionate, intelligent, wonderful kitties. They ARE a challenge sometimes -- VERY loud when they aren't getting what they want, and they will very literally become depressed and anxious when left alone too long. This is why they are often seen in pairs. Not a good cat to leave at home alone if you work all day. I don't think shelters educate people about these traits very well...be aware of it if you consider a Meezer from the shelter! They are one of the most frequently-returned breeds at animal shelters, which is a shame. They are very challenging but rewarding too. Mine has spoiled me for other cat breeds, possibly for good.
Ah, yes. Sounds much like the stories I heard about Ying, Dad's cat when he was young. 'Anxious' was kind of his default state and he seemed to think he was hired as security rather than bought as a pet.
Most of the cats he and his folks had just showed up one day and wouldn't leave. Ying and Lady were bought from a shelter. Dad and Grandma went with instructions from Grandpa: no males, no long-hairs, no Siamese. They came back with a male Siamese and a female long-hair. Grandpa just threw up his hands in surrender.
Its true some are mean but most are very loving > find the males are more affectionate.
NyanPoptartCat mines against my arm lol they can be mean but only to other cats they're actually very good with people
I love my Siamese kitty. He’s smart and demanding. He loves attention. They’re not mean at all they just know what they want and very intelligent cats. 🐱
I've had a seal point female who hated everyone but myself. Her passing at only 14 years was a shock. Now 3 years later I have a lilac point Male who loves everyone more easily than my female did. However, he has gotten himself in so much trouble lol 🤣
They are just AMAZING cats! I am on my second - I was grief-stricken when I lost my first wonderful boy, Lionel, a seal point. But now I have Kenneth, a mischievous bluepoint, he is so clever and amusing. I could not live now without a Siamese!
My Siamese is a sweetheart. 💓💓💓
I've never owned a Siamese myself, but I once knew a Siamese named Snickers who hung out at this horse farm I used to do volunteer work at a few years ago. She was very gorgeous and an absolute sweetheart. Plus she was super friendly and had the cutest sounding meows ever. 🥰
I recently adopted a couple of cats from a shelter. One is just a regular shorthair but the other was a strange looking cat, small, super lithe and muscular black cat with marbly stripes on his body where the black lightens into dark gray. We started realizing that he’s probably part Siamese; he’s extremely intelligent, we’ve already found that he’s super trainable and will get into anything or do anything to entertain himself, he’s super vocal and has a very Siamese sounding voice, and his face and paws are jet black while the rest of his body is a bit lighter, especially around his throat. He’s also a crazy good jumper and very playful. Loves attention but is also pretty independent, he just likes to check on people and the other kitty as he’s making his way around the house. We have our hands full finding ways to entertain him.
I have/had 2 Siamese ,both choc point. First one, Anastasia, was super human friendly but sick before we got her so only with us a short time, but she knew and gave love before leaving us.
We have Cookie now and she's a lovey love purr machine!
Also a black Oriental..he's the most intelligent lovable gentleman. I recommend Oriental breed too
An old neighbour of mine had a siamese cat who used to like to hang out with my tabby. In the summer they would lounge on the roof of my shed. It was cute, like they were friends.
I went out with my mum and picked a red point siamese from a breeder for my birthday. He was an amazing cat, such a distinct one of a kind personality, and a big part of my childhood.
I LOVE how talkative my siamese x rag doll is (def dominant siamese genes) so many different kinds of meows. Different pitches, volume, length, pattern) I meanwaaaayy different. from “ew” “bruooooaaaaaawwww” “brrr” “errr” “airh” to squeals, closed mouth talking... melts my heart everytime 🥰🥰
Our new Siamese kitten is named China because when we got her i was watching a documentary about the Great Wall and everytime they said "China" she would turn and meow at the tv.
My siamese cat has light colored blackish mask, short tail, light blue eyes, and light colored feet. She has 2 sons, one tuxedo color cat and a half siamese. The half siamese has bended, short tail and white mittens. Sadly the mother cat passed away 😢 the kittens look so sad and wanted their mum. They keep finding their mom and then after a few days they became thinner (I feed them a lot).
I rescued a Siamese type kitten 8 years ago. I say "type" because his mom was a solid black shorthair. Her mom was a short haired tortie type. He's a pretty quiet,.reserved cat. I think that perhaps something traumatic happened to him early on. I never got into training my cats outside of one who took to the harness. There was something quite unique about that old boy that I could perceive but not explain. Now I wish I knew what that trainer knows.
What a great family and heartfelt story. We need more like this.
I have had several Siamese over the years and even bred them for a while. They are beautiful cats with great personalities. My first Siamese taught herself to use the bathroom loo.just couldn’t flush afterwards !
Finally, an episode that condones adoption over breeding!
Well, if you're going to get a purebreed, which most of these videos are about, your best bet *is* a breeder. Most dogs and cats found in shelters are mutts.
brigidtheirish not entirely true. I have worked in a cat shelter for years, and you’d be surprised at the full-breed cats that come through. Recently, a Flame Point Siamese was brought in. One of the most difficult to find.
@@TommyBowerscoasters Thats Siamese, many other breeds like British Longhairs, Bengals, and Burmillas are seldom seen in Shelters.
The amount of purebred cats and dogs doesn't even compare to the amount of animals that were born from careless people who continuously don't fix their many animals. The fact that mostly "mogie mutts" are the majority of shelter cats should tell you that. I would hate to see Siamese and other breeds come to an end from this kind of mentality. At least the purebreds that are bought have a much higher chance of being cared for. People should be able to get whatever breed that suits their personalities. I've had precious non purebreds plus one Siamese and loved each equally.
I love their little chocolate dipped faces!
I prefer the traditional cat really. the modern one looks weird
They are both beautiful
In Thailand, traditional Siamese are called “Wichienmat.” They might actually be slightly different as their eyes are a paler blue. I have a Wichienmat from Bangkok. Thailand has at least five other domestic breeds originating from there, including the Korat.
I have lived with both apple heads and modern Siamese and loved them all equally. Superficially, I prefer the modern look simply because they are living sculptures to me, but both types are intelligent, playful, loud, demanding, and the best companions you could have if you spend lots of time at home.
@@TXGRunner Wichienmat sounds like a german word.
i agree i got lucky to adopt the traditional ones with a flame point (they got the colors wrong in the vid 😭)
My 20-years old siamese cat is still alive) Hope it will last more 10 years. But now, as he became older, his favourite hobby is meowing...And sometimes it is annoying...We do everything he wants and love too much. Maybe someone know any tricks to calm him down? Thanks a lot.
Due to age, your cats’ hearing has probably declined so he will meow more often, but doesn’t fully realise how annoying he’s being. I don’t think it can be helped maybe he would enjoy it if you meowed back 😁
Well done for making it to 20 kitty! Hopefully more years to come 🐾🐾
Meow thank you) now I realize the problem...
Have you taken him to a vet? Maybe he is in pain. If he isn't ill or injured, perhaps he's just chatty. I used to have a Siamese cat as a child and I always had conversations with him.
Your cat is older than me!!!!!😭😂😂😂😂😂
I have a siamese cat and is 9 months old
When I heard them say that Gregory Popovitch trains cats I was reminded of the phrase “...like herding cats.” I think it’s really cool that he uses only shelter cats.
My Siamese is a cuddler, very affectionate, playful and mischievous lol.
“They are all family it’s not like cat 1 cat 2” - anastasia “all my pets are from the shelter” the dad
I don't understand why everybody's always saying Siamese cats meow a lot. Mine' s 6 years old and IF he meows it can be loud but he actually rarely meows.
Gery W I have two and they basically just “yell” at me all the time there usually really talkative, Siamese have there own personality’s though might just be chill as hell
I have a “traditional” flame point Siamese and he is a MAJOR talker. Mainly when the sun comes up and he sees that my partner or I are awake and he wants his morning can of wet food. :)
“long and skinny” mine is short and fat, and very floofy
“loud and vocal” my cat only quietly half meows
“easily trained” it took me 6 years to teach my cat simple things like “come here” and “stay”
My gf and I own a lynx. He talks a lot and I’d almost compare his love to a dog! Lol
I live with a simaese, he picked me out and got me trained. He's my shadow.
My Meezer is so gentle! They are my favorite breed!
They mixed up seal point and lilac point
The tortie point picture looked like another blue point as well.
2:30 I'm not sure how this informative presentation went from Siamese cats to Las Vegas all cat circus performance, where one knows all circus animals are manipulated and often punished off camera.
Had a Siamese years ago, without a doubt the smartest animal I ever saw. She was amazing!
I love cats i have a very smart grey tabby that is very much a lap baby. I once owned a Siamese cat very lovable and yes smart and beautiful.
I love, love these cats.
Siamese cats ain't mean -they are very intelligent and needy -they are very loyal 'beautiful cats -thank you god for these beautiful creatures-
It was first Siam. Duh. Their so ugly their cute but never chunky omg look at it 🤩😘 jus wanna kiss it to death omg too much cuteness
I have a Balinese, which is a long-haired random mutation of the Siamese (you can technically have Siamese and Balinese in the same litter even though they are their own breed as well.)
My girl is nicknamed The God Empress. They are gregarious and love to see what you're up to and make great nurses when you're not feeling well, but if you are not doing exactly what they want the moment they want it, they will yowl nonstop.
Siamese cat are my favorite domestic cats above the black cat!
I want a Siamese cat
I come from Thailand Siamese cats in thai we know them and call them. As “Wicheng maat” cat It mean Moon diamond cat. this breed have been developed invented by Thai since 13 century we can see the record in Thai ancient poetry in ayutaya era. The ancestor come from Keaw cat In thattime only Thai royal family and Nobel family can own these cats they are very expensive cats In the year 1884, King Rama V granted a pair of Wichian Mas cats to a pair of The British consul named Owen Gould, the Thai cat, won the London cat contest and made England more popular with Thai cats. In the end it spread throughout the world.
And they use ancient Chinese pictures
2:30 I'm not sure how this informative presentation went from Siamese cats to Las Vegas circus, where one knows all circus animals are manipulated and often punished.
Cats don’t respond well to harsh punishment , so I hope that means that they do their training ethically
I won’t give them any credit. They use Chinese pictures for the “Royal Siam”. And the pictures are like 1000 years off. I’m Thai and normally I wouldn’t cared so much if the westerners mixed things up A LITTLE BIT. But I would say this is disrespectful.
Hi guys I have two Siamese cats they are my boys I have a fawn point who now is 19 yrs old he’s diabetic now but is a happy little man and my other baby is a seal point whose now 8 yrs old both are the most loving Siamese I have ever had they crave attention and dislike to be parted from me both eat sleep and love us, yes they talk non stop !
My siamese is still a kitten :3
Great short video. But you must know the *wrong pictures* are put up during the narrator's delineation of the *point colors*. Which was a careless mistake someone should have caught before posting the video.
Many years ago we had a Siamese cat I can t remember her meowing a lot But then that was way long ago Yes I do like Siamese cats
Cats are SO AWESOME!! I love them SO MUCH!!!
Yes :)
Kings of Siam used to put a Siamese cat in each arm of their robes. The cats were trained to attack whomever was standing in front of the King when he stretched out his arms
It's weird how they are known to be generally healthy when a lot of uncommon disorders and diseases mostly reside with Siamese cats.
Cornell has been tracking and taking note of this in their studies as well.
My fam hates theos meows but I meow back to him.
So we both annoy the fam.
One stray Siamese Kitten came to my doorsteps one night! I almost adopted it!
I loooove them!
Siam is the old name of Thailand
Siamese cat or in Thai Wichianmas which means Moon diamond 💎
1:44 I bred these cats for 10 years, and in this video they dam near got every single colour point wrong.
We have 7 cats, 4 are snowshoe, my Prue looks like the cat at 6:22. She is 4 yrs. old. Hard to condense this but, when I met my wife, her seal point named Misty. He would walk on her ex husband so he would let Misty out to see me off to work. He was 21 Yrs. old when he passed. Was a few months before we found an add for Lynx Point kittens, Smokey chose my wife and came home with us. Our youngest (soon to be 21) called him her big brother. He let her lean on him when she was learning to walk. He left us after 19 yrs. Tip is a snow shoe, borne in our house. He is three years old, my Prue is a 4 yrs. old snow shoe. They may be our last and that's ok . I'm 64 and my wife will be there soon.
I’m teaches my cat how to jump on my shoulder right now
The traditional Siamese looks well muscled
There's a new breed called Flame Point Siamese. They have reddish points
The simense cat is also used in the classic film lady and the tramp

I didn't know I had a Siamese cat.
Our Siemen picked us. She walked up to my husband as he was getting out of his car and she never left our house.
I had two Siamese in my house
i have a flame point Siamese cat. he very talky. (orange tabby markings where the points are suppose to be)
I wish their eyes weren't always blue, I'll probably end up adopting a mixed breed anyway.
I have a chocolate point kitten
ARE you serious??? Are we showcasing the Siamese or cats in general??
Lol
I have a fat traditional siames with a very unique pattern I've seen some online with similar patterns so i question if there's more you haven't covered or maybe it's how mixed breed siames look also really weird thing is her sister is a modern how come they're both 2 different kinds even though they share the same dad?
My American Short-haired is more vocal than my Siamese kitten.
This beautiful reminds cat reminds me of Sagwa
04:12 wtf hahahaha
Meow meow meow meow
i have a lynx point siamese named journey
At 1:45 the pictures they are showing and the types they are saying are all mixed up lol
iv said it once and ill say it again around 12 years old Siamese cats can suffer from Kidney Failure so do keep that in mind.
Those wise and ancient Siams!
The Popovichs are such kind people.
Had a traditional Siamese and she barely meowed. Only when she wanted to be pet
I love my Siamese boy
The two parts of a Siamese I really like are the ears and the tail basically what I would do when I had a Siamese lavender point that is is basically I would play with his ears and try to playfully pull his tail which he doesn't like or I would just probably wait till he laid down till he tried beating it on the carpet and when he starts doing that I start playing with his tail and he liked every bit of it when I played with his tail as a matter of fact when he walked by me he would show me his tail and he would wag it when he walked by
My lynx point is crazy. Attack everyones leg except for my mum. I think she needs a friend.
I had a cat siamise mix
Siamese
both my Mitzi and Cleo were characters
My sister have a Siamese and i love him, but I would go mad if he lived with me, he is so vocal. Morning and night………..
This explains a lot why some American I know think Siam is a city name in China.
I love Siamese cats.

We had a male that lived to be 21.
I miss Dr. Sophia Yin so much!
Modern Siamese cats have a much shorter life span and fart more genetic problems. There's actually 3 body styles: Traditional (Applehead) which is more tabby like in build, rounder head, Classic (which this video describes as Traditional) and Modern. I am the human servant / butler to Miss Cheyenne from Siam. Miss Cheyenne has to have her meat (rabbit or venison, please) served on a warmed plate. She has to have a large pinch of Nip when she so desires. She does know how to Sing, but does that only at the vet. I have had many, many cats and known many more. Miss Cheyenne from Siam is not the smartest cat I have ever had, but she's the kindest, most pro-social cat. I have ever had.
