I actually think Liquid should ban Dust2 over Vertigo. Not even because I believe they could maybe surprise Spirit or that they could win it, but I think mentally going into Dust2 first map the mindset of liquid is… “we suck on this map, we’re going to lose.” If they get stomped like 13-4 on dust2 first map, the series is over, mentally shot. Liquid’s mental is pretty important. Whereas I think if Vertigo is the first map, they can perceive a bad loss as, “hey, it was a gamble, we tried something new, didn’t work”. Just a slight difference in the mentality I think could give them a better chance.
also i do think their worst t side is by far on dust 2 they just look lost combined with the fact playing dust 2 against cis players (donk) is a nightmare. vertigo would have more upset potential imo
@@bilguudeetuvshintulga7155 When the veto gets to 3rd map. The team that bans last essentially "picks" the last map. It comes down to two maps for example, they ban dust play nuke or ban nuke play dust. The last team that gets the ban picks the last map
Twistzz has the opportunity to do something amusingly outlandish, if they consider Dust2 an almost guaranteed loss. Liquid could float Vertigo, banning Dust2. This gives Spirit nightmares of Copenhagen and either Spirit shy away from it or they pick it and you play it out (all 5 Liquid players know how to play it and they can prep it rather than Dust2).
I mean, Blitz is an international chess master so he's been under some pressure. Not exactly the same as playing infront of a crowd like this but it's atleast something. I do believe that his Chess experience together with the coach and how they shaped these players (910, MZ, Senzu) is really strong and they come off as a humble group of guys. Something in me makes me believe they'll atleast make semis
I think you're missing one angle on the Liquid/Spirit match which is for Liquid to float Vertigo. Remember how Spirit lost to FaZe at the last major, want to risk repeating that? Sure Liquid don't play it currently but they did float it against G2 (who also don't like it/ban it), and picked Ancient and 13-0'd G2. I think there's a world where you make it awkward for Spirit by taking away D2 first rotation instead, pick Ancient, effectively forcing them to either pick into your best map (Anubis), or play a Nuke that they're not as comfortable on as they once were. Even if you lose Spirits pick anyway, it's a way for Liquid to potentially get to play both of their best maps in a bo3.
Agreed. The float here makes a ton of sense, even for mentality sake. Getting pummeled on a map you’re statistically terrible at (dust2) is an absolute morale killer.
Liquid have also been known to do well at shutting down teams with insane star players like donk or s1mple. And given the experience on the roster, wildcard in ultimate, I kinda like their chances.

19:54 10/10 Analysis. They either pick the map or someone else picks the map. Truly Unrivaled Insight
There is an option where it is left to be the decider so it is actually a decent insight
