i love scaler and ample guitars too, this video is so helpful to me
Glad it was helpful!
very cool thanks for showing!
Thanks for watching ✨
Thanks for the tutorial - just fyi - you don't have to click midi-capture in this instance, you can simply click the 'Drag' button to drag the midi over. I think capture if for improv.
I'll check it out. Scaler is really complex sometimes.. need to read the user manual again.. :)
Omg im gonna have so much fun! Love the vids! Greetings from chile.
Hey Greeting from Israel !
Scaler can be tones of fun and also very helpful
THANKS A LOT, TOOK A WHILE BUT WITH LOGIC I HAVE TO USE SCALER CONTROL AND THEN AMPLE
Scaler is really great once you understand how to use it.
MORE, please!! I own SO many Ample Sound products.
STRUMMIG!
I also have some. Check the channel for more reviews of Ample Sound

You are welcome ✨
Wonderful 👌🏻
Thanks mate ✨
Scaler is amazing!
I love it.. :)
Muchas gracias por su tutorial. Un fuerte abrazo.
Thanks for watching ✨
Thanks 4 the video
You're welcome!
I thought strumming was to feature in the video - something I'm particularly looking for to support workflow and maintain inspiration.
Oh well, the tool looks extremely useful for most other things demonstrated here, and gives me confidence that what I need is in there somewhere 😊
Maybe you can try the demo?
I’ll see if i can add strumming demo later
Very informative
Glad you liked it
Please concider subscribing..
Great video, thanks for sharing. If you turn off the loop when you capture it will only capture one event.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the tip ♥️
Thanks 👍
Thanks for watching!
Scaler is awesome.
That's true.
Just awesome!!! :)
Indeed.. it's so much fun.
@@UDiAudio Yes, I need to get busy and see what I can do with Ample Sounds 12 string using Scaler :)
@@mikekohlgraf4737 Good luck with that. I don't have the 12 Strings (yet) but I'm sure it sounds greate.
Hey appriciate if you use my link to support the channel: www.bestservice.com/en/ample_guitar_twelve_ag12.html?aid=fbZYxyhAaUDxZaed
@@UDiAudio Already have the 12, but if I'm looking for something else, I'll check it out!
i do this but with scaler controlling Shreddage Guitar Hydray through Kontakt and then running that signal through a virtual amp such as Tim Hensons ArcheType from Polyphia
Very powerful.
Exactly. If you know how to use Scaler you can get some very cool results.
Awesome, do you have video about that ?
@@morizanova This: ruclips.net/video/ACyErA28KPs/видео.html
What instrument do you play primarily
@@aaronbones4290 i play guitar
cool thanks
Thanks for watching 🎹
thanks buddy 🤟👍
thanks for watching❤️
WOW!!!!!
I think so too. :)
this is soo powerful wtf
Use the force ✨
🏆
Thanks 🙏🏼
Hey thank you for the video, just had a question how are you able to play the instrument without having Red Enable on, on the scaler instance. I always have to keep the rec enable on, on the scaler instance + the Instrument track as-well, tried doing the same way you did, keeping the monitoring on but no luck :( is there some settings i need to do which i am missing?
Hey Anup
You need to set the midi input to the scaler track.
See the is part: ruclips.net/video/Q4C0eS48-xU/видео.html
@@UDiAudio ohh no that's sorted i meant the rec arm button where the red is highlighted i have keep that always armed in scaler instrument channel. I saw you did without that...
@@anupbhat6026 I did nothing special.. what you see in the video is what I did. I'll check further to recreate.
Are the VSTi sounds inside of Scaler 2 usable in a production?
Not really.. but they are good enough to get a sense of the potential.
Thank you so much.
You are so welcome!
Does strumming also work or does it only work with the strumming editor in Ampl Guitar?
You can use with any virtual instrument actually..
Is it possible to route an ample acoustic guitar through a different plug-in's electric guitar?
No..as far as i know
what if the scaler plays in a too high octave so it triggers some unwanted articulations?
There are many options in scaler but I can be sure if you limit the play range. This video is just to demonstrate the idea. Practically I would drag the midi sequence to my project and adjust.. meaning using scaler to get started and continue from there.
On 4:15 couldn't you of just synced Scaler2 to your DAW?
I'm showing that I can copy the MIDI into my project and this means that the notes are played at the DAW BPM.
so people don't need to learn an instrument anymore.. or music theory.....iw wonder what this will do for music
I don’t think you can use these tools without knowing something
@@UDiAudio technology should be a tool not a crutch when making art.... scaler looks like it will make things so easy, potentially turn people lazy or make lesser qualified people more generic, they wont make art full of interesting mistakes.... a lot of implications......an interesting/impressive product though
@@mustardegg2 Check my full review this tool is used also buy pros.
I see mustardegg’s point in his question, but it begs another question:
A crutch is also a tool, is it not..? 😊
I understand why someone would want to use Scaler, but come on… this takes all the fun of creating music out of the equation. You might as well just ask an AI bot to make the music for you. 💁🏻♂️
Hey
Well I agree and disagree.. :)
First this video was a request from a viewer and I was happy to demosnstrate how this can be done. Second, you must understand that there are many people that don't know how to play a instrument or maybe they play piano but not guitar. I think using such tools in the right context can be very helpful. Your production can have many tracks and maybe this Scaler can help with some parts.
I wonder what your view on sampling is? 🤔
@@jjbing3 very good question and i see your point. I love sampling instruments myself and use sampled instruments all the time. I also dabble in sampling other people’s music to use in my own compositions. But sampling, whether its a piano plugin or a piece of music doesn’t take the fun out of music production. Its just my opinion, what i love the most about music is the theory behind it. The math. Why certain harmonies sound the way they do. Chords. Scales. Emotion. Using scaler would take the fun out of it for me. Just my opinion.
@@UDiAudio yeah for sure, like i said : “I understand why someone would want to use Scaler” its just not for me. No fun
I m using scaler for piano scales, ez understending chord progression, modulation... But this is looping for me and copy paste, but for some with less knowleg is good to start making fun
You should have transposed the guitar further down
Next time 😎
Thank for pointing that out
Thanks 👍
