A bag is designed for the full load of the weight of the car plus any impact from anything that happens on the road surface. These are a piston and an O-ring. They can only take minimal pressure above that of the weight of the car. They also tend to get close to topping out the damper in many applications when lifted, and that can cause damper failure.
Thanks man! We're in the process of adding a fair few new products to the shop, so keep an eye out, and if you're not already signed up to our mailing list you can find it at the bottom of the website :)
Driftworks awesome I’ll have to check it out. Reason I ask is we are building new cars for our workshop in south Australia and have many customers who are after the same things. Keen to try the new rear knuckles! 😁
Thanks for the vid. Quick question, would we have the ability to purchase just the air cups, lines and fitting them selves. I do not have a need for a compress, tanks, switch or valves. Thanks again
They fit a lot of MonoPro, but there are a few inverted McPhearson models that use an M55 damper and we can't (at the moment) get a large enough diameter cup for that size damper.
We can get them already. We tested a full air ride setup on Starkeys car before I sold it to him. The problem is with air ride that you need to spend a lot of money on it. The cheaper kit's are terrible, and there's a lot to go wrong if they use cheap pumps and hardware.
Yes it may limit the wheel clearance a little. If you check out the other video we did at about 2:45 ruclips.net/video/gZxTdUy58Vk/видео.html You can see it's pretty close on Starkeys S15. It is possible to move the wheel away a little by slotting the top mounting hole on the coilover to hub bracket if needed.
John Smith Low cars can be fast too. Ever heard of A-bo-moon? Animal style? The Low Origin guys are the best example, they fucking kill it and have been seen in many videos twinning with Phil.
Satsukawa agrees that the low height compromises track performance, and the low origin cars are loosing pieces of aero before they arrive at the event! This kit is for road driven real world cars which sometime like to visit a city where available parking is uncertain, or maybe want to park on their driveway without smashing ££'s of bodywork.
They all say that its only for driving over obstacles but never give a reason as to why it cant be used in the same sense as airlift suspension

@@driftworks Ohh that makes sense, I didnt know it was a piston I was thinking it was a airbag setup. thanks for the reply guys
"I can park in places I've never parked before" - amazing hahaha
people told me i'm crazy for thinking about something like this... thank you for putting this on the market! LEGENDS!
No probs! :)
the force you put on the shaft was mighty impressive ;p

MONKY LONDON Thank You good Sir!
Loving the instructional videos guys, fair play and keep them coming.
Thank man! Will do.
You sound how I sound when I imitate a distinguished gentleman.
can this be used on fortune 500s? can it be used with time attack racing?
I love this setup. But how would it work on my daily driver? I drive a ae92 trueno
Is this still the best tech in 2020? Need something for my jza80 .... effing speedbumps!!!
It is. We have a few more options available now too.
@@driftworks hey man thanks- like what? I've checked your site & just see the 2 options - with tank and then tankless
Hi I’m starky and this is my bedroom 😂
Killer product guys! Any more new products coming out soon? Loving the awesome intros and outros too 😁

you can tell it was killing him not to laugh when he said shaft... starky lad lmao
Have you supplied for an Alfa Romeo 4C?
Thanks for the vid. Quick question, would we have the ability to purchase just the air cups, lines and fitting them selves. I do not have a need for a compress, tanks, switch or valves. Thanks again
Hi, yes possibly. Drop us an e-mail and we'll see what we can do.
Sick intro!
Thanks!
that's nice! good idea!
Starky, so looks like they fit the dualtech fine so what about the monopro? Just about to take one appart and get a measurement to double check
They fit a lot of MonoPro, but there are a few inverted McPhearson models that use an M55 damper and we can't (at the moment) get a large enough diameter cup for that size damper.
Ah OK, I haven't had chance to strip mine down yet, so any idea if they fit the s14/15 ones?
They don't as S14/15 use the larger M55 inverted damper unfortunately.
Ah sods law 🤣, any plans for the future at all?
Question. Messing with the top hat and lowering the spring down does that effect preload, and how the coilover is supposed to operate properly?
Not with our coilovers as they are separate ride height and spring preload adjustable.
So this kit won't allow any preload on the spring?
It's possible it could work with preload, but it might not be able to lift the full amount. What is the reason you would want to run preload?
So I take it this kit is specifically only to raise it temporarily for bumps or dips you can't ride around with it lifted all the time?
Yes.
Just wondering. How much air pressure needed?
Fits Only on the front coilovers?......what about Rear coilovers?? Can I put them all around?
We do them for the rear too. Starkey has them front & rear on this S15 now. Check the website.
just ordered some for my Subaru blobeye sti carnt waite
3rd nice intro :)
I like these diy vids
What would happen if you drive it when it was lifted?
You can drive at low speed. But it would potentially break if you hit a large bump, pothole etc at speed.
Can you drive with the car up ? or just wondering
You can't. Check the comments for an explanation. 👍
Does this kit fit on an audi a4 b9 with a kw v3 coilover?
The thumbnail is just ridiculous 😂😂😂
Also you can fill tires.
I guess yeah if you plumb in an airline somehow.
Do you provide a fitting service? Thanks.
We don't right now, but we get asked a hell of a lot, so we are thinking about offering fitting in the future.
Any future plans to sell full air ride setups for silvias etc ??
We can get them already. We tested a full air ride setup on Starkeys car before I sold it to him. The problem is with air ride that you need to spend a lot of money on it. The cheaper kit's are terrible, and there's a lot to go wrong if they use cheap pumps and hardware.
That intro is FIRE, but can i ask......Will it fit on my honda?
Thanks! Maybe! What coilovers do you have? and what model Honda?
Haha its a quote from Mighty Car Mods
Ahh, I'm well up on Roadkill, I should obviously watch more MCM :D
Can you drive this with the air fully pumped?
Hi, no, it's just for getting over obstacles, not for driving at hight.
What is the diameter of the cs2 inverted damper tube?
I think it's 40mm, but it would be best to check with the guys through the normal Driftworks sales channels to be sure. Cheers
does these work with KW coilovers DCC for VW scirocco R?
Hi, drop us an e-mail & the guys will find out for you. shop@driftworks.com
Does this limit the width of wheels you would be able to install?
But fuck yeah, im getting this when my car is getting closer to be finished :D
Yes it may limit the wheel clearance a little. If you check out the other video we did at about 2:45 ruclips.net/video/gZxTdUy58Vk/видео.html You can see it's pretty close on Starkeys S15. Great. Thanks for the reply ;) Gotta sell my right arm so i can buy this :D
Hi there will your kit fit Tein coilovers ?
Hi Simon, it should do you yes. It would be best to talk with our customer service team to find out for sure. Through our website or on social media.
why I can not ride high and park low with this kit?
Because it is not designed for that. What you need is traditional air ride if that's what you want to do.
Щикарно, это на пневме теперь можно и боком давать=))
So what's the story with running these on all corners.
It's fine. we'll have the rear option available in the shop early this week.
So you cant set preload???
You can set preload, but just with the cups requirements factored in.
did you drink before shooting this.
stand still mate :)
NEED.
Ho I buy it I am in iraq
Hi, you can buy and ship from Driftworks.com
FIRST MAYBE
Alistair Clark possibly the first reply to the first comment?....
air plus..... quite an old concept now no?
Possibly. It's a bit new for us. Maybe we're a bit old and out of touch though :D
These air cups are cheating. Static life. *Style over everything*
Tommy's hand some people actually like going fast beleive it or not!
