She's coming along great guys. I know you're running diesels but even after you run your new blower hoses, a word to the wise is never trust any sniffer on the boat but your own nose. Always pop the engine hatch and let your nose tell you if there's any thing leaking.
There is a product called h2out. It is a inline filter on your vent line to keep moisture out of the tank. Works really well. Your tank looks clean. Also add a Biocide to keep your fuel fresh and sludge free. That was a great survey. There is always something on them. Our 1st survey was 3 pages of repair items. Yours was 3 items. Your new boat is coming along well. Cheers.
Jet fuel and diesel is vary close to the same density. Creating the same water problems. Water does not seperate in jet fuel as quickly as petrol. We had to check the sumps for water after settling overnight.
you did a awesome job, on the bottom paint and it is good you put three layers you want to protect the bottom of that boat happy also to see your family getting into a bowl and enjoying the ocean that other project that's going to be a while, and definitely this is a good-sized boat you can enjoy some of your life with your family in the ocean right now. Awesome you guys deserve it enjoy and awesome video
Nice guy, goes out and buys his wife a bigger roller, reminds me of my wife years ago , got up on Mothers day I said ok, the days yours what do you want to do and what would you like for Mothers Day, she replied I want to go to boat and for mothers day I want a new sander, Simon you the man. LOL
I would still sell the smaller fishing boat and keep this one 🚤🚤. This one has every thing 🛥️, a proper head, galley , and a lot more safer in ruff waters. I get scared every time I watch 😱😱😱😱😱you both go out in it when the sea is choppy. Also there a lot more room when the kids are out with you.
@@isickofityes your right. That is what I would do0. We live here in Arizona close to Lake Mead and have been caught out in high winds. The wave looked like the ocean waves and we were in a 20ft boat. VERY scary😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
@@isickofit you don’t have to tell me .😵💫 If you can’t find a safe cove to get in WOW your in trouble fast. We had wave higher than the boat. Only were to be out for a few hours, but had to spend two nights
She's a lovely boat Robbo and Janice have done a marvellous job helping get her ready for sea trails this boat although a bit more expensive to run then the little will give you more experience running a bigger boat ready for size of Sarinda I wish you well with her calm seas and fair winds good luck
Just found your yt channel and can`t stop watching it. I am myself boat ovner and offshore worker. Having the 9 m boat for 12 years, doing all serviceing myself, removeing/ installing outdrive, swapping engines, even sewing my whole canvas during the winter. I admire and respect hard work you guys doing, can`t wait to see you on the water on both boats. Big hugs from Pole on FPSO on brazilians waters.
Boutari is looking boutariiful! Love that shade of blue. Glad you had a good inspection and don't need to do too many things before putting her into the water. Perhaps a nice family outing before the colder weather sets in.😊
Probably 2-3 miles to the gallon. Those are big beasties of engines. Good ones but from a different era but will give an exciting turn of speed. I needn't tell you what I would have done with his hammer Gemma after all your painting.!
If you're talking about the hose that connects to the blowers in the engine compartment they're kind of important because they remove fuel vapors from the engine area so that when you start the boat it doesn't create an explosion in the engine compartment of the boat. If you're talking about something else then no worries. Happy boating.
You can get extensions that just screw into the roller handle. Even a home made broom handle trimmed down can be useful. Antifouling always gets all over you but a long handle helps 😊 just saying!
I told you guys that you lucked out when you found that boat. If Rolls Royce or Bentley are considered the top car in the world then Tiara would be considered equivalent to a Mercedes or Aston Martin.
Great looking boat. Make sure you keep your diesel tanks full. It will cut down the condensation, and with water separating filters, it will help to stop the diesel bug.
Have you considered applying Anti-Fowling to the hull? I hear it will prevent chickens from roosting in your boat and stop seagulls from crapping on it.
Neodymium magnets with a hole in the middle a chunk of solid copper wire thru the hole allows it to set up off the floor of the tank and makes it easy to remove. This will keep all the super fine iron oxide sediment captured out of the fuel filters fuel pumps and injectors.
Hi Team Sarinda I'd be keeping this one over the smaller boat i know they are cheaper and easier to move and you don't have to pay crane charges to get it out but the sea up there can change swiftly and you have the advantages of a safer sea keeping hull with Boutari. Happy sailing.
Swap the really trick kit out of the small boat to the big one and replace with stuff that’s suitable for inshore use. Then sell it. It’s a great boat but too small for a family.
Nicd work Team. I think Robbos a Handsome looking lad😅 better looking than the Boat😂 With all that Anti foul go like a Rocket 😮 and you will be able to put the lil Fishy on the Dishy when the Boat comes in 😊. That was a lovely dram of Rum I just had nector of the GODS 😊 Keep at it now.❤
Please change both pump impellers and keep spares and tools on board to change them. Hint. Florescent fingernail polish on the screw heads and the tools to allow you to easily find them when dropped in the bilge.
I’m just so confused. This didn’t go on for years like your other “project”. Lol. This is a keeper given the family size and all the future holds for you and them. A great bit of fun in store on this one I’m sure!
Hey since your motors are Diesel. the Filters when you replace them always keep a pair on board as with all the different temperatures in the engine box condenseion is the big bad boy plus that is where you end up with a bug in Diesel it depends where you refill up from as if it happens when your out at Sea you can change filters and get going again
Next time you have to paint the anti-fouling, recommend that you get an extending pole to put the roller onto. It will speed up the work because you don't need to move so much, and will significantly reduce the back pain. I also recommend that you add "Fuel Set", as it will not only clean up the tanks completely, it will clean the injectors, and allow better fuel efficiency, plus reduce smoke. As a real bonus, if you have some water in the fuel, it will emulsify and then pass happily through the injectors and be burnt up. I had a very bad attack of the bug and having removed the worst of the jelly blobs, gave the tanks a shock dose, and it cleaned it up completely. I use in the outboard fuel as well (as recommended by Fuel Set engineers) and was able to use that fuel two years later. (2 Stroke oil prevented using it up in a car!)
Yep extended pole is the way to go and a chemical proof mask, that stuff normally give me a headache even with an approved chemical mask. Antifoul paint is toxic.
I guess you were only joking about popping over to France, somebody may correct me but I am not sure you can go into France now with red diesel. Just love Boutari, lovely boat and looks cracking job now all clean and repaired, well done,, looking forward to the launch. Sell the fishing boat now and use this boat, help put some funds back for the repairs
There is a fix for anti fowling we’re you should add hot sauce to it. I know it sounds weird but check it out it does work in salt or fresh water. Here in Canada we have zebra mussels and it will keep them off as well
Regards the engine fire suppression system, consider getting a blazecut system. They use them a lot on VW's and are very good. It's self contained and made in Sweden I believe.
Just wanted to mention that well into the video when you were pouring fuel, there was was a battery in the view(probably 12 volt) and a set of bare wires seeming to come off it. Would it be possible on a hot day for a flash fire to erupt if the wires got bumped and shorted in close vicinity? One has to always be concsious of potential hazards on a boat not weather related, especially at sea!
You mean the battery we were using to power the fuel pump to remove the fuel from the tank? That once finish it was removed and not a feature that is there all the time?
I'd say the side that Gemma pulled the tape from looks fantastic, and the side that Simon pulled the tape from is all messed up. They'll probably condemn that side of the boat.
Hmmm is that an anode you are mounting there 8:57? If the boat is fiberglass that won’t do anything there unless you run a ground from the engine/transmission to it.
Are you going to fit the zip wake interseptor system on this boat ? Aircraft can get the same type of bugs in the fuel tanks too. They are some very nasty things.
Hello both. We really love this boat. Not long b4 ur in the water is it? Is it a coastal boat for small trips. Cant wait to see your family going on a trip in it. Its a antyfouling paint.. it wil not protect anything, It only prevents marine growt what wil slow down the boat. its not protection paint..

Small bays if not actual coves can magnify incoming waves. You need to know the territory.

If you dip a 6mm tube into the diesel at the lowest point and then block the top while you lift it out you’ll get a sample from top to bottom.
Make sure you have enough leftover to touch in where the hull supports have been when it is lifted into the water!
love your channel, hard workers with a great attitude. can't wait to see it in the water.
