Just purchased my first electric scooter, a HiBoy S2, to get me to and from work. Turned a 2 hr walk into a quick 20 minute ride. Loving every second of it
I never bought that LS7+ because has basically almost same range as the D6+. As big as the deck is means it really should of had more range then 45 miles. If it had like a 50 or up to 60 miles then I would of bought it long ago. But yea it's a nice looking scooter and the disco lighting lol.
Why isn’t it safe? Expensive scooter has way better brake, suspension, wheel size and drivetrain than those cheap one. So is your car. It can reach 300km/h , that doesn’t mean u have to drive maximum speed all the time. High performance scooter is also about battery size. If u are 50kg , u don’t care much but how about people with over 100kg weight?
@@mikelo9006 i also agree that the one going 88kmh vs 25kmh has more chance of having serious injuries if accident happens. We are talking about vehicles with 10" wheels and virtually no protection for the driver. Even if you upgrade and get full body armor with crash protection ised for bikes like airbag - it adds a significant cost on top of already costly vehicle and beats the whole purpose of commuting cheaply.
@@veliborcakic nah mostly high performance scooter has 11inch tire with 3inch wide, which reduces the chance of accident. Of course I always suggest people go for EUC instead of scooter due to the bigger tire and portability. I also recommend anyone on 25km/h or 100km/h pEVs wearing protection ( wrist guard , elbow guard , knee guard , helmet). It is costly but still way cheaper than maintain and fill your car every week (plus parking, tax, road fee)
I'm in Ireland we have the same issue here but I don't know anyone who got in trouble with them. loads of people I work with have them. I'm gonna look into getting one that can do 40mph and hope for the best.
Go for it...Just be aware you're not insured and if you smack into someone you'll be paying their private hospital bills out of your own pocket..Even if you were in the right, say a pedestrian runs out from behind a parked car without looking.

I have a Nanrobot D6+ that can do 70kmh and the garda haven't said anything to me ... I drive past them on it often enough.. you'll be grand as long as you aren't taking the piss like going in traffic or bombing down footpaths
@ He probably will be be fine. But i've just read about cases where the Garda have set up spot checks and confiscated scooters in Dublin & Cork. so your confidence is not 100% justified. I say that as someone who rides unrestricted e bikes on the road in England, and want to see the law changed.... But i am aware the police can take my bike away at any time even if i'm riding safely well below the limit. Get involved in an accident involving someone else & i'm screwed, whoever's fault it is.

@@zivkovicable actually that's a fair point, I live in a smaller town so most of the garda around here know me to see as I grew up here.. I think if I lived in a city centre I would go for the cheaper scooter just incase some arsehole guard is having a bad day xD
I bought one and broke my toe on it because it has no ground clearance and youll get thrown off when the kickstand digs in. The front tyre also went flat and I cant change the tube. Waste of money tbh.
Out of ebikes, motorized bicycles, escooters, e unicycles, one wheel, etc... I think the best bang for the buck. Is a 2 or 4 stroke motorized bicycle kit. You can get a 2 stroke kit for $120 stock that will go 30-35mph....Many of the aftermarket parts for them are a waste of money. But some aren't, like the $35 hub adapter keeps rear sprocket perfectly straight & saves spokes from getting broken from the junk stock rear sprocket mount....A $45 to $100 pipe will help gain a little more power/speed but only if engine is properly ported & tuned..... Unless you build a proper beefed up bicycle frame & wheels. You really don't wanna go over 35mph on a bicycle anyways.....A 53cc 4 stroke kit for about $225 + $35 rear hub adapter will also do 30-35 depending on rear sprocket size. But get at least 100 mpgs & engine will last for years with proper care. You'll have to buy belts, clutch, chain & gears that get worn. But that's to be expected & you can use stock clutch until worn then get an upgraded one. The only way I'd go with electric scooter or unicycle is if I needed something very portable. Right now I have 49cc 2 stroke but debating on a 53cc 4 stroke for better mpgs, longer life, less maintenance & quieter engine.
You do not use an eScooter to go to the local shop without breaking the law. Why are you inciting people to break the law? You might as well say, "why not use your eScooter to get some Crack". I really don't understand why you are trying to get people to ride these on roads and pavements when do do so could give them 3/6 points on their driving licence?.
It should be made legal (atleast for roads and cycle paths). However some countries do allow for e-scooters (like france). Electroheads did also do a video about the e-scooter penalty.
I said the same thing before, electroheads want you to buy scooters and bikes off them so they can make loads of money then in the next breath they tell you it’s illegal to ride em. This video they are pretending they just drive on private roads and land, yeah right. Just put the Ginger dude on and say you drive on the roads illegally it’s not my fault if you get caught, now buy off us we want our commission.

@@lewwylately7467 I suggest that dodging the law if you can get away with it is not a moral position to boast about. Doing what is right for some is doing anything they like, anytime, anywhere. 55 mph for an e-scooter is dangerous and unnecessary 👎😠 E-scooters if and when legalised here in the UK will be at 15.5 mph as this is the Scientifically tested maximum speed to reduce the liklihood of death if an accident. E-scooter speeds above 15.5 mph are fine only up to about 24 mph with a helmet. The 24 mph is the very max. Taur e-scooter has a 24 mph max speed which sits below a Moped max speed of 28 mph. Persobally for legalisation I'd like if there were TWO speed classes of e-scooters. The first class would be with a max 15.5 mph maximum and then the second class with a 24 mph maximum. The wearing of a helmet should be mandatory with all. Provisional drivers licence as a minimum, a moped size licence plate and a minimum 12 inch wheel size should also follow.
Absolutely pointless seeing as you can’t ride them legally. And a 55mph scooter is a death trap. And how is a public road private?? It may be closed.. but it’s still illegal to use.

We should start protesting e-scooter laws by doing group rides together on the roads with the rented e-scooters all over the place

Yes, tires can be flat, like racing slicks.
Car tires are pretty flat, since they never lean to turn.
