Something about this theme almost brings tears to my eyes, it really gives the vibe that Lucifer is a fallen angel and at the same time has the burden of what he’s done, the theme can be interpreted as violent and other times heroic imo but usually blends to sorrow where even if Lucifer wins there’s nothing left, especially at 3:19 it has a flute kind of time that made me think in Hell the time that’s passed and how much that has happened with humanity (it sounds oriental but orchestral too) mourning that at least there was something even if it was bad before it was better than nothing at all, but in the end after what was originally thought to be an eternity of punishment, it’s also like God allowing Lucifer to rest, though not being able to see Heaven or anything like that again, all of it usually umbrellas in sorrow, this song is so good man
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think you can hear a faint flute in either requiem or ORDER, if not it could still be related, like you said it’s pointless even if they win, in case of Minos, even if he does triumph he still will likely get slaughtered by Gabriel once more, and even if Sisyphus loses he knows that the machine will still eventually kill out Gabriel. Pointless either way you look at it. And I think it’s that way because regardless if you free them or not, they will still be perpetually stuck in torment. EDIT: it turns out there IS actually a similar sounding instrument within the requiem leitmotif, and now that I just compare the two it seems like Ultrakill redefined what it could be, electric guitars are violent, fast, and loud, but with this and ORDER, it makes it seem all the more themed about having sympathy or another look about something that’s just bigger than you.
Lucifer should not feel any burden. He should only feel hatred, despair and betrayal. God cast him into Hell for simply questioning him. No rebellion, no great evil army, no deception. Just one question.
I wasn't expecting this to be so good, I figured the intro would sound great and then once the actual music starts it wouldn't match the feel but I was really wrong. It's great even the feeling that the intro is a part of the entire song really fits in, this really is a song that could have been from ultrakill
I’d like to imagine that hell itself saw that Lucifer wouldn’t like if machines got in the way of his torment, so it sealed him away, but over time it got too unmanageable, and it now regrets its actions, but now satan can’t be freed from the masterfully crafted prison that hell itself made, so it waits, hoping for a faint flicker of hope to free its master.. but none would come, all of the layers could represent its current feelings. Limbo, for the perpetual waiting cycle, Lust, its want for bloodshed, gluttony, its desire for more. Greed, its thoughts that led it to seal Lucifer away, Wrath, the anger it forced on the machines to give it more fun, Heresy, the words Lucifer casted onto it for its rebellion; and Violence, its current feeling and only way to ease its wounds.
"V1... Do you know why my "Father" banished me into hell? I *questioned* him. I had doubts in his plans. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to create Hell, because humans wanted to live their lives how they wanted to. And because of this, he threw me into this pit! And yet... He tried to unmake it once his eyes were open. But he forgot about one thing... *ME*. Pain, suffering, humiliation! I felt all of it, and still remember it! On that day, when he banished me into this place, I swore to destroy everything my father have made! And even Hell itself submitted to my will, because of all pain and hate I had inside. Now, since he is gone, I can go back to place I used to call my home, and destroy it piece by piece... As for you machine... You have broken Minos and killed Sisyphus... Which is quite impressive... However, you are still nothing but piece of junk that stand in my way! So come, V1, and meet your end!" - Lucifer the King of Hell
Also, before anyone says it, I decided to make Lucifer pronounce V1 name, because in my head he would have some level of respect for him, so he would use his actual name (and he also would be omnipotent in hell, and would knew his name)
@@АрсенийБыков-е7м That's always been my headcannon. The Devil is a separate being within Ultrakill, in one of the terminals, it is said that Lucifer in this world was cast down for questioning the morality of Hell.
I highly doubt Gabriel will become a prime soul, just by how the game works. If we fight him in Treachery, then he'd be in his prime soul form locked behind a P-door we can visit before we'd even fight him in the game. It just wouldn't make much logical sense. After his first fight, he's given 24 hours to live, then we fight him again, and we have one more fight coming up with him before he dies. V1 went through layers 3 to 6 in less than 24 hours, and we'll fight him a third time before that time is up. V1 is blazing through Hell, fast. There's maybe 12 hours at most from Gabriel's second fight to his third. Yeah, not even Sisyphus's prime soul formed that quick. They had time to build the Flesh Panopticon before he started forming, and even though it wasn't complete, it was still complete enough to hold Sisyphus until his fight with V1. Not to mention, but who's gonna be around to build this third Flesh Prison incarnation to hold Gabriel? The council of heaven is gone, it obviously can't be Gabriel himself.. All signs just point to it being someone imprisoned long ago, and not possibly Gabriel. I'd much rather we get another unique legendary character to fight than a fourth fight with the same person, anyway.
@@KogasaTatara514 also the fact that the Minos Prime terminal entry states you no longer need a *husk* to manifest, and heaven-born angels don't have an afterlife, so

This is my favorite version of a Lucifer Prime theme I've heard so far. Fantastic job!
You did a fantastic job recreating that energetic-but-sorrowful tone of ORDER and WAR. Super fitting for Lucifer in the context of Ultrakill!!

The devil may not cry guys…
You know what they say, Devils Never Cry

Absolutely underrated.
