ive just actually played through the level and I simply cannot explain what a gift it is upon the ultrakill community. Never did i think id break out in a barfight, letalone with the red ferryman fighting WITH me. The level truly makes me feel bad foe the denizens of hell, which I have not yet gotten to feel. But I also cant say I blame the machines, they are doing as they are designed, so who exavtly is in the wrong here? The machines follow their instinct, the denizens of hell are simply trying to preserve themselves, if not also follow their instincts. Its a tradegy all around, especially the end of the level. It makes me wonder, did the ferryman know you will go for it once the rest are dead? If so why wouldnt it kill you at the start when it gets overwhelming in a small space, perfect for his style of attack? Perhaps he had hope in the player that they are more than their instinct. Given the ferryman refunds us before the final fight, it makes me like to think he respects us still. But respect is not impossible to be felt amongsideraging hate, of course

I feel like they throw the coin back at you as a sort of "Take your damn coin back, you bastard.", because I feel the moment they sense their idol has been broken, they lose all respect they have for V1 and become extremely upset at it, feeling like the small amount of camaraderie they had while fighting side-by-side was completely thrown out the window.
I gotta say that last bit was a prime soul theme levels of good like bro the song is SCREAMING with emotion at 11:18 like wat is this tragic masterpiece 😭😭

The bar fight, the combination of Death Odyssey and The World Looks Red, _the Ferryman flicking your own coin back at you before the fight starts_ , *_the entire goddamn boss fight itself_* ... Words alone can't do it justice. This is the best goddamn custom level there is. Outstanding work!

I wish I could make music like you and I cannot express the amount of joy I have from hearing this. Very rare occasions when soundtracks give me actual sincere shivers without cheap tricks (the only occasion before was by Igorrr, the Tout Petit Mieanou), but this did as well… Look, dude, I am just speechless, I have no idea what-else to type.
