The Bee Gees are incredible. But i often get picked on for the fact they're my favorite group. So many goofs only think of the Saturday night fever soundtrack and I tell them that they made albums for years before and years after that. It was US DJs refusing to play them for a long time after Spirits Having Flown album because they were played alot in the 70s so they bashed them and refused to play them in the 80s. Not, right.
I've had the same response, I've loved the bee gees since I was 15 and I am 70 now and still love them,if you mention them people always parody staying alive, they were so much more than that, unfortunately a lot of people are narrow minded when it comes to the bee gees, sad
I have been listening to the BeeGees entire albums lately and I like EVERY SINGLE SONG. The Still Waters album is particularly fine. Prior to that revelation only The Beatles and Carpenters fell under that category for me. Now I am going back and doing deep dives into a lot of acts that I had only been exposed to on the radio. You only hear their “hits”, but so many songs out there were not hits but should have been. Thank goodness for all the decades of great music left to us. I pray that today’s music will turn around soon.
Personally I don't think The Bee Gees can do a bad song, their harmonies are so ethereal, can you just imagine them in heavens chorus...incredible! Thanks Harri, the world was a better place with them in it! But thank goodness we still have Barry. Thank you Harri for bringing me something new to smile about.❤️👍
Thank you for more Bee Gees! Arif Mardin (producer on "Main Course") produced this song. It has his great r&b sound all over it. I'm such a fan of the entire album "Still Waters" from 1997. The way both Robin and Barry's voices were featured here is magic, and of course there is no better harmony than those 3 beautiful brothers. They released an album, "This is Where I Came In," in 2001. Try listening to the title song. Very fun, and there's a great video.
I Could Not Love You More is another beautiful song from this album. The Living Eyes album is also excellent....with beautiful vocals by Barry on Nothing Could Be Good.🎼
@@janicetrimmell6897Yes it is & one of my faves too, especially considering it's only Barry! Lately I've been on a Be Who You Are kick from that album. Love the meaning of the song & Barry's vocals are superb!🎶
From 1997, their 21st album, "Still Waters", this was their best selling album in 20 years. This beautiful ballad talks of a deep love with enduring commitment and is delivered simply and sincerely. The heartfelt vocals from Robin and Barry paired with the emotive melody, delivers beautifully, while drawing from personal emotions and experiences while crafting their music. This timeless classic has the ability to captures human emotions so passionately, the heavenly harmonies raising that threshold and the perfect accompaniment making this a beautiful song. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Imadrummin. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Wonderful request! I too have not heard this song before. It was beautifully done. Their harmonies and vocals are sheer perfection. I'd like to suggest a song that was written by Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson called All In Your Name. It was recorded in 2002 at Miami's Middle Ear Studio. However, Barry didn't release it until 2011, two years after Michael's death. The song is absolutely beautiful and Barry also provided footage of them recording it. I believe you'll love it!❤
I've noticed many others saying it was there first time hearing these songs. That's the whole idea, to bring this era of the Bee Gees to there attention. From the albums "Living Eyes" (80's) through "This Is Where I Came In" (2000's) is a ton of great great songs. 😀😀😀
There are some beautiful songs on Robin's last solo LP, "50 St Catherine's Drive" released after he died. "Don't cry alone", "Days of wine and roses", "Wing and a prayer", "Wherever you go", "All we have is now", "I am the world".
This song is addicting, well, I guess the entire Still Waters album is kind of addicting too. Yes, 2001 "This is Where I Came In" was released. A lot of really great music on that album as well. Thanks for the reaction!
I really thought you've done more beegees reactions. I looked at the Playlist and there are so many you haven't done. And yes they come with stuff in the 2001. Album This is where I came in.
It shouldnt surprise me, but I am always surprised to hear another BeeGees song I'VE NEVER HEARD OF & that is SO BEAUTIFUL! I have to add this to my 50 or so favorite BeeGees songs! There are so many!! A couple songs very few people have reacted to are: Crying Everyday (1981) and Alive (Carson 1972) performed on the Johnny Carson show! Could you react to those please? ❤ Love your appreciation and commentary!❤
Wow, I too just heard this song for the first time only recently and I completely fell in love with it! Their vocals are as smooth as silk, and I adore that flute-like sound that just floats over the melody. Thank you for reacting to this one -- I think this would have been a huge hit had it gotten the radio airplay it deserved.
That's three of the four brothers have died. Andy Gibb, the youngest, had his own solo career. There is video of a single performance from July 1979 where the BeeGees called Andy to come on stage with them to perform the song "You Should be Dancing". In 1988 Barry announced that Andy would be joining the band as the fourth BeeGee. Andy died weeks later. What might have been, four part harmonies from the four Brothers Gibb? Barry, the oldest, is still living life. He must be so depressed. Definitely a whiter shade of pale from the height of stardom surrounded by family.
@@kthor yes, I have most of their music, it is very beautiful, and his voice is a lot like when he sang Be Who You Are. I love his soft vocals. He has such a huge range of ways he uses his voice, like an instrument.
Hello Harri, Thanks for your heartwarming comments on the Bee Gees. If you want to hear another early, haunting song by Robin, try And The Sun Will Shine. It is pure and emotional. Regards, Paul (NL)
RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶🤟 The last album that was released by The Bee Gees was in 2001 and the first one died less than 2 years later. They didn’t really have a chance to have big hits in the 2000s😢
Patty-I can't pick a favorite song as I like too many of their songs. I do however have a favotite of the three. While I love and admire all three of them, Robin always has been and always will be my favorite. His voice reaches my soul on so many levels. Plus, he was a beautiful human being just like his brothers.
Harri, i know reacted to this and i gave you the name of the album but here are the songs you need tou react to from that album: This is where I came in, She Keeps Coming and unreleased Sensuality all done by Robin, Then Wedding Day, Sacred Trust, Deja Vu, Walking on Air, to to name a few. All perfection. Enjoy
This was another great song sung by Barry and the gibb brothers...especially Robin🎉❤he really had a unique beautiful high vibrato🎉🎉so unforgettable voices of these amazing musicians....I miss Robin..Maurice...😢😢so much...if not due to the sudden death of Maurice 😢😢the gibb brothers would have more and more beautiful voice...
There has and never will be a match in vocals like The Bee Gees. There’s so many songs written by them that will be classics forever ❤
I LOVE the Bee Gees and this is my favorite song they do.

Bee Gees absolutely NEVER disappoint!
Still Waters - in my opinion their best post 70’s album… soulful/Pop album. Love this jam.

I so agree! Robin's voice is unmatched! So much emotion.
Their voices are beautiful.

Yes, they absolutely made/make the world a better place. They always put a smile on my face.
I love the Still Waters album and this song is a favourite ❤
I love the Brothers Gibb so much. So many great songs.😊
Wow, I've never heard this song before. But with them having over 1,000 songs I guess few people have ever heard all of them. Amazing song.
The thing they wrote almost everything they sang.
Unmistakeably Robin on the start verse. When Barry joins in I find they sound the same. Harmonies beautiful.

Barry had album In the now 2016, Greenfields 2021 and is still writing music
❤❤❤
Perfection! I think because they wrote from the heart.

Somewhere I read that all Bee Gees romantic song lyrics are always directed to one woman. Not women in general. So on personal level.
They are pure magic!
Harri..it is a good song..do not remember ever hearing it..The Bee Gees are a wonderful harmony group
“Rest Your Love On Me”,very beautiful country sounding song Barry wrote for his wife. Please react to it.
From 1997, their 21st album, "Still Waters", this was their best selling album in 20 years. This beautiful ballad talks of a deep love with enduring commitment and is delivered simply and sincerely.

I agree. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Ima for bringing yet another hidden gem 🤩🌟🙏 Must have missed some of the later works 🤔🤨😉

Another song that I don’t remember by the Bee Gees, you really do have some hidden gems Imadrummin. Thanks Harri.
Thank you Cynthia. They aged like a fine wine during this period.
Would love to see a Mo lead reaction.....maybe Closer Than Close!

Barry has continued in Music working with Samantha Gibb, Maurice daughter ❤️😍🥰
Yes. I still love Barry more...🎉❤
They were unique, and classic at the same time.
Their voices were like musical instruments on this...
Have you heard The Way it Was? Barry's vocals dueling with the sax are beautiful!

You can't deny it by Lisa stansfield, music video request plz ❤
Masterful lyrics and composition. Should be featured in music classes everywhere on how to construct a hit song. It's sheer perfection.
Well said--loved your reaction! The Still Waters album is chock full of great songs...among which My Lover's Prayer is my favorite.

Sublime!
You should do 'Jive Talkin' my friend. I think it's their best song and it's SO FUNKY you just gotta dance!!
Yes! I was racking my mind while listening to this song that it reminded me of "Jive Talkin" Thanks for reading my mind. LoL
