The thing about the Bee Gees is that they were brothers and their voices were very similar genetically, so when they sang together there is this magic that many others could never even hope to capture.

Back in 1963 when the Bee Gees first appeared on AM radio, I got them confused with the Beatles. They sounded so much like them.

I'm sorry, but this has to be the best interpretation of these songs performed by ANY artist or band since the recorded or live versions were ever played by the Beatles themselves. The Bee Gees doing this performance of these songs at this time was totally unprecedented. These 3 guys had some serious, seriously scary talent. Superb performance.

I LOVE their version of "If I Fell," my favorite Beatles song that John wrote. I'm a fan of both bands, and to hear The Bee Gees sing the songs of the band I loved since I was 9 years old makes this mega Beatles fan very happy!! And it would have been John's 83rd birthday today (October 9th, 2023). Happy Birthday John! I hope these boys did you and the lads proud!

The Beatles got me started listening to music when I was a child growing up. Bee Gees nailed it!!

Imagine capturing the Beatles sound with different voices.
That was incredible. Their harmonies are always perfect and this was live too. No auto tune, no punch ins. Just pure talent.
Since they started performing at such a young age, you know that these brothers were singing all of these songs when they first came out around their living room, and that they knew every nuance and every harmony and had been doing those songs informally for close to 10 years before they were booked on Burt Sugarman‘s show…. And they were also very fortunate that their vocal accents are very similar to the Beatles, and so the singing is very much in parallel with the original works. This was really good. What great talents!

I had never seen this before and it’s fantastic. Nothing like sibling harmony. They cover the Beatles like no other. Always loved the Bee Gees, especially the love they had for each other. I feel so bad for Barry, losing 3 of his brothers now. I hope he’ll keep on singing to keep carrying on their legacy.

Take that all you Bee Gees haters. The close harmonies and Beatles standards thrown in. It's not all Disco and Saturday Night Fever, there's all the other music they wrote as well. Not everyone can be ground breakers, some just give us memorable songs to sing.

My grandparents, who owned the Margate picture theatre, knew the Gibb family when the boys were just kids. They lived at Scarborough, about 2 miles from the theatre, and would sometimes attend the Saturday Matinee.

The crowd immediately knew every song even though most were not huge Beatles hits. That's incredible, that's timeless music done perfectly by a timeless band. There will never be another Bee Gees or Beatles.

Erm, Beatles are probably the most covered band of all time. By a long way.
A few artists did covers of Beatles songs and did them slightly better than the originals. Oasis did "I am the walrus" better than the Beatles. Motley Crue's version of "Helter skelter" is decidedly superior to the original. In the case of Joe Cocker's version of "With a little help from my friends", he blew the original version out of the water.
