My grandma used this expression so I don't know if it is her way to say it or if everyone in Campania just does. She used to say "A santu Bellill è o nom suoj" literally meaning "Her/his nameday is on Saint Beautiful day" and metaphorically "He/she is so beautiful that his/her name is Beautiful". Of course saint Beautiful doesn't exist. She used it to compliment me and other grandkids, but also as a mockery when I told her I liked a boy and she wanted to tell me I was a little obsessed and he wasn't that handsome (she didn't like him and she was proven right ahaha).

Do it. I dreamt of going when I was younger but kept holding off for years because of work or no money or too many bills. One day I decided to just go and I did. I never regretted it. So I'm planning my third trip there but bringing my sisters so they can experience what a truly beautiful country Italy is. Go for it!

Italian food lacks boom in flavor but is always extremely clean and just right when you are hungry. But I would argue when it comes to flavor Japanese, French, Greek and Chinese food is the best. Depends on the mood honestly.

I live in the Netherlands. My favorite food are pasta and pizza. What will it take to work at a pizzeria there and learn to make the best? Are the Italians there ready to learn someone else? I would start a restaurant if i learned the best, best ingredients etc. I love cooking, let me know please 🙏
Please do not promote some of these places. Naples was filthy, Spaccanapoli was absolutely horrendous and the food was awful. I could not believe how smelly and dirty this place was not to mention the rudeness of the people.
