Please do more reviews on the Skoda lineups. Particularly their SUV lines such as the Kamiq, Karoq, and Kodiaq. Skoda is a very good value for money in the VW Group brand range if VW pricing is still pricey.
@@Xyb3rTeCh you’re right about the value and features. Skoda product is getting better and better. We have more Skoda reviews coming but also check out our review on the Karoq from a few months ago 👍🏼
Already did buy one 6 years ago. Still love it and going strong. Under rated brand here in Australia. They're everywhere in Europe and for good reason.
I brought a low kms 2020 Mk 3.5 Nardo Grey Wagon with the Premium pack and it is a brilliant fun practical car. I love it. They also look better than the new Golf which has a permanent monobrow.
I have driven all manner of cars in my 65 years on this planet. But none have put a smile on my face like my VRS Octavia - I just love driving it. I have the wagon version with the 19 inch wheels and a sunroof, which must be the longest car sunroof in the world! It's a wolf in sheep's clothing - for it might look ordinary but slam that right foot down and it takes off and goes around the roundabouts like a rally car, which I suppose is where it has its roots.
Great review! I have had this exact car since january -21 and I can highly recommend it! Go for it, U wont be dissapointed in a long run either! :P Greetings from Finland.
Must say, with you in regards to getting a wagon, but 1 thing I wish skoda did was bring the AWD version here. Test drove the octavia rs 2 generations ago and thought wheel spin was a bit much out of corners at times, seems only hard straight line excelaration seems to be this models problem, maybe something different tyres could solve. But still a good car, awesome review Alex, looking forward to seeing your wagon 👍
One thong that amazes me about the Skoda RS and Sportsline models is the exhaust tips are real and awesome. Audi's are fake and cheap. Just wish the RS was AWD. I owned a 2013 RS but had to sell it as the suspension was tiring on long drives, it was a raw car. This model is much more refined. Might have lost some spice.
I own a 2012 RS and never found the suspension tiring on up to 1200 km days at the wheel. Still love it but agree AWD is on the wish list. My stepson has sort of inherited it but I still drive it regularly. My newer to me but older car is a '09 Passat CC 3.6 AWD. Awesome off the line even in the wet, not the sportiest but still quick and I am getting old.
Thank you for reviewing this car. Do you know if the warranty is still 5 years and whether the dealer has offered any service packages and how much please?
Good spot. No negative impact in my experience although I haven’t driven the car on a 40C+ day! Shouldn’t be an issue unless you have a rear-facing baby seat but even then the system cools down the whole cabin pretty efficiently
Your car seems to be an Irish / UK VRS rather than the rest of Europe RS, because of copyright issues So was this an early press car or do you guys just get the same RHD VRS ??
Great review overall but the quality of materials does drop for the rear seat occupants in that the door trims are made out of hard, scratchy plastic rather than soft materials as on the front doors.
Not sure what review you were looking at but in 22:40 he clearly states they are the same as the front. Maybe you are thinking of the mk8 GTI which the rear doors are hard scratchy plastic vs the front. I also own a 2022 Skoda Octavia VRS and went and checked the doors just then. They are the same from the front to the back.
13:53, I think comparing the medium sedans to each other in the way of the Sonata N line is more of an apt comparison rather than the i30. Though I guess you could also get that in a sedan too.
Expensive with premium pack to get adaptive damping - Megane RS Trophy please 😝 but I’m biased as it’s faster and French and more fun but I do like Skodas too and not just when they’re better priced than their VAG counterparts 👍
Love this car but don't like the lack of a gear lever, spririted car drivers like to be hands on . Also heated seats, they should be cooled . On the coldest days I've never said to myself that my backside is freezing, but on long drives on warmer days some cool ventilation would be far more useful, skoda read these comments
I wouldn't name it hot-hatch because its not a hatchback at all. It's kind of limusine + coupe hybrid. Awesome car, much better buy than a VW Golf GTI in my opinion.
Unfortunately SKODA Australia pure greed tried to take advantage of Australians by increasing prices by up to 50% during the pandemic shortage while the factory only increased prices by 3%. They also replaced the new 1.5L and DSG with the old 1.4L and torque converter on most Karoq models. Other cash grabs include dropping the new entry level fabia models and only bringing in one montecarlo fabia at $40K! We bought an entry fabia at $17K two years ago. They have also reduced base engine size from 1.5L to 1.0L on Scala and kamiq and dropped standard options such as nav and safety features. Shame the local distributor has trashed a great product line

@@Xyb3rTeCh Drove a friend's Kodiaq RS the other day. That is a great car as well, 500 Nm of grunt.
one of these kept up with my tuned wrx. I couldn't believe it. Their performance between 80-160 is insane
My stock standard b8.5 audi s4 completely smokes tuned wrx these skodas must be slow af 😂
@@lexman8678 congratulations, your expensive car is faster than a much cheaper car. Would you like a medal or a chest to pin it on pal?

Yeah bring on the AWD version. I went a superb to get AWD but I miss the size of the Octavia
Very great review, Thanks Alex! I personally would love a wagon as well but either way these are amazing off the showroom floor.
I’m loving @Wheels Australia💚. From 🇺🇸 Here!
My ordered vRS will be ready to pick up in a week. I didn't expect you to increase my anticipation sooo much :D nice video!
How is your car going now after a year any thing you don’t like mate.😅
@@xxxdids it is awesome. Got the fully equipped RS Plus as sedan with 245HP. Almost 45.000 KM. No complaints so far.

Anyone know what a shazzy is?
Great review, thank you
How reliable is the transmission?
Why I don’t see enough on roads ? This car is awesome

Still 5 years and dealer has service packages. Details on their website.
It is now 7 year warranty and you can get 7 year servicing packages which when paid upfront it works out you get around 3 free
Hey alex, noticed that Hvac vents are almost at knee level. Does this affect cooling eficiency at all?

The sport wheel maybe heavier. I owned 2020 mk3 vrs,the original 19inch is so heavy
‘Anthracite’ on the wheels refers to the colour 😂
(I know this because I just bought some Skoda touch up paint for my wheel haha)
Ah, I see! I do like the finish on the wheels. Especially when it catches the sun

I wonder if the Hyundai Sonata is better value? Quite a bit more power and more modern interior.
Sonata is certainly a lot of car and performance for the money! We’d still lean towards the Skoda for its resolved ride and handling
no sport exhaust like gti?
Great video guys but the audio, his mic is horrible. Y’all gotta get new mics.
😎 cool!
Doesn't it have a panoramic roof?
Optional cost.
Üdv miért nincs benne a kormányfűtés az nem alapfelszereltség??
