It’s unfortunate that it can be so difficult to get even a decent valuation when redeeming points. The free night certificate can be a really powerful tool though!

this was a very helpful video. I got a Hilton Business card from Amex and can transfer points from my Chase cards to Hilton. But then realized the valuation being .4-.5 typically for Hilton stays. Vs Hyatt where I can get 2-3x. Video made me rethink a little but also see how I just need to stack some points with stays I'd pay in cash anyway and maybe not use transferring to Hilton points for future stays.
So helpful! I'm a brand new Surpass card member. Trying to build up points and do exactly as you describe. I've su scribed but I'll keep checking back for reminders and ideas! Go Air Force!
I was hoping the video would help me decide if i should apply for the top Amex Hilton. I am still not sure. Also is did you say if you cash in points you don't have to pay resort fees? and can one make enough points toi cover their whole 4 night stay
We do have a video covering the Amex Aspire if that’s what you’re looking for. Ask for booking with points, you do not have to pay resort fees or taxes if you book with only points
One of my worst experience with Hilton. When I entered the front desk was nice and friendly. The front desk told me I have food credit at the restaurant so I decide to give it a try. The server was busy giving out number to other guests instead of serving guests. When I left the hotel I did not receive the charge details. I notice the charge on my credit card does not match what I recall. When I contact customer service they told me I do have credit. They told me they will provide me an answer then never did. As a Gold member I find it extremely irresponsible. Hilton made a mistake and refuse to take any responsibility. Do not stay at Hilton. You will feel awful. The room is dated. The service is bad. Hilton does not care about you even with Gold status.
Has anyone done the average cost per day for food and entertainment at these Hilton Maldive resorts? I have the points I just don’t know if I can afford 10 days of expenses?
Remember right now valuation is off the chart because of high price due to travel revenge after covid. Travel industry will definitely cool down in 2024. And those points valuation will plummet too since hotel prices definitely going to get slashed from all time high
Where would you go if you had 1,000,000 points?
I love Hilton but their points valuation is highly overstated on hotels. Most average only 0.004 cents per point. Good video

yeah, typically the redemptions aren't great. But with the high dollar redemptions you can make some great moves

Beat Army! Sink Navy!
Lots of ways to redeem with Hilton, just used my first night reward at a Waldorf Astoria and it saved me over $700
Do you have to have 5 nights worth of points to book to get the 5th night for free? Or 4 nights worth of points?
4 i believe

Can Hilton Diamond Member get room upgrade for rooms booked with points?
They can get upgraded whether they book with cash or points. If you actually do or not is a different story
Can I transfer my AMEX points to Hilton to get the silver/gold status?
Transferring the points by themselves will not get you any sort of status with Hilton
I am retired and love my Surpass Card. Spending 15k annually gets me a free night certificate anywhere in the world .
What has been your best redemption for the certificate so far?
@@APennyPinchersGuide this is my 1st year using my free certificate and I am looking at the Conrad in Fort Lauderdale or Washington DC
I stayed at the Conrad Fort Lauderdale 2 weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. Use certificate and points.
@@Retired-jr3qsyou can use that certificate at any hotel worth up to 150k points. We used our certificate in the Maldives.

I would try back again with customer service, in my experience they try over and over to make it right for you
Sorry about your experience. I been very happy with customer service

It’s sooo expensive! We just got back from the Conrad Maldives. A bottle of water cost $20 just to give you an idea lol
Wait. I thought points don't expire?
