I feel very fortunate if I'm in an embassy. But I can see the value for people who find the hotel is as much a destination as the city itself.

I love Hilton properties, but I do not recommend staying at a Hampton Inn because the breakfast is premade and not cooked to order. Hilton Garden Inn would be a better choice.
The Hampton inn is way better than the Hilton Garden Inn! You have to pay for breakfast at Hilton Garden Inn which is not cool especially when you have to pay at the minimum 120 plus a night to stay there!
Who gives a lick if it’s cooked to order 🤣 you not the prince. It’s usually the cheapest hotel option AND it includes free food. Even if you just eat some diced fruit… it’s worth it

I've stayed at the Waldorf in Los Cabos and absolutely loved it. Such beautiful rooms and property in general. The service was unmatched as well to anywhere I've stayed at before. I also stayed at the Waldorf in New Orleans this last February and got a huge suite upgrade due to being Hilton Diamond! The Crocksford at Resort World Las Vegas was pretty standard in my opinion but booming through the Amex FHR collection gave us so added outsized value. The Hilton Garden Inn in Hawaii was pretty standard nothing special at all but it did have a great location with amazing views. The restaurant there was also really good. Will be staying 5 nights at the Hilton Paris Opera in October and two nights at the Waldrof Versailles Palace super excited for that!

The Vogue Hotel was already really nice before they renovated. I‘m very curious to see what it will look liked revamped! Definitely worth checking out!

I generally prefer Marriott at the mid-range level, but I find Waldorf Astoria to be excellent at the luxury tier. Plus, its easier to earn top-tier status with Hilton than Marriott, you simply need to hold the Hilton Aspire card.
Fully agree. Curios are not really boutique hotels. They just follow their own style. If you go to Dubai and stay at the V Hotel with several hundreds of rooms, you know, what I mean. And the Diplomat is similarly large.

One of my worst experience with Hilton. When I entered the front desk was nice and friendly. The front desk told me I have food credit at the restaurant so I decide to give it a try. The server was busy giving out number to other guests instead of serving guests. When I left the hotel I did not receive the charge details. I notice the charge on my credit card does not match what I recall. When I contact customer service they told me I do have credit. They told me they will provide me an answer then never did. As a Gold member I find it extremely irresponsible. Hilton made a mistake and refuse to take any responsibility. Do not stay at Hilton. You will feel awful. The room is dated. The service is bad. Hilton does not care about you even with Gold status.
The Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco Airport in Burlingame is beyond unreasonable. If you want to be insulated as a paying customer, go ahead and book it. I hope you will enjoy their peloton offering. Here is what happened to me. First I checked in using the app and got my digital key. When I arrived, there is another guest in my room. We went to the concierge, they told us this happened because we shared the same last name - is this a legit reason? Anyway, they gave me a new room at a lower floor. The next day, when I check out, they asked for my credit card. This was surprising because I put my credit card down when booking and was not asked when checking in. Plus, there were two rooms assigned to me. It’s reasonable for anyone to check a few details before handing out the credit card. Not to mention that it was 8:30am, hours before the check out time. I have every right to confirm the legitimacy of the request for credit card. However, the woman at the front desk accused me of refusing to pay and interrupted me multiple times when I tried to explain to her why I needed to check a few details before putting my credit card out. Also, she threatened multiple times about calling the police without listening. If you think the above is ridiculous, hold on. After I made a few calls to the hotel customer care and my credit card company, I was ready to pay. So, I went to the front desk and asked to put down my credit card. During the process, I found out that that women was filming me using her personal phone! Without my consent!!

I stayed at The Diplomat Resort which is a Curio location in Ft. Lauderdale. Do to it's large size, I wouldn't call it "boutique".
