There would be a certain poetry in him managing to save Ahsoka through the light after turning to the dark out of desperation to save Padme. A personal redemption of sorts.
You’re missing the point that Ashoka’s hand had been burned to the point she could no longer two hand wield her saber. She was fighting well prior to picking up the map. She lost not because she was spent, but because she was wounded and distracted (by Sabine).
This is similar to arguments people make to try and explain why anakin/Vader lost to obi wan. It’s super simple man, obi wan is better, and more powerful. He won their duels. Ashoka lost because she was inferior.
Fantastic, I wonder if Hayden Christensen and Mark Hamill will meet some series either in this one or the movie that ties all the series up as Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker.
Obi-Wan did in fact affect Palpatine's force sight abilities as a ghost. He clouded the Dark side just like Palpatine clouded the Light decades earlier. Force Ghosts affecting the living has been a thing since day 1 so him pulling her into the TWBW could easily happen
And it’s possible that anikan is powerful enough to give him self life force. Since Ashoka is a “god” from when she absorbed the light god maybe anikan will come back too! That would be awesome

The other person thought it was effectively even. However, we all agreed that her burning her hand was the turning point. Shin Hati’s appearance just exacerbated the situation.
It seemed like her goals changed mid fight though from trying to subdue or kill Baylan then she gave up and tried to stop the coordinates being uploaded, I thought she gave up trying to stop Baylan because she realised she couldn’t. It’s all a matter of opinion though.

Regarding Anakin: I think we're in for an interesting dive into his character as he is now. Note how he has Vader's lightsaber at his hip. A lot of folks have concluded that thos combined with the Imperial March theme at the end means this is Vader, not Anakin, and that he and Ahsoka will duel it out again. I disagree. I think that these things are simply a sign that yes, while Anakin was redeemed, who he was and what he did as Vader haven't just gone away. He was cremated in that mask, his last used weapon was that red saber. Episode 5 is basically now make or break for the whole series lol, especially with that cliffhanger.
I have a feeling there will be no Ahsoka or anakin in the next episode. It will be all about Sabine in the next galaxy with Morgan and Baylan. I think it will be the following episode were they will continue the story of Ahsoka in TWBW with Anakin.
Don't think she died. I think she has a unique connection to the force that only was activated due to stress, similar to what she told Sebine. It could be because she had been there before. I think Anakin knows she had the ability and that's why he said he didn't think he'd see her so soon. She may be able to use this connection to get to where Ezra is in different times and space.
I think it's the Daughter. She has a connection to the Purrgills and all other Force strong fauna. She has a connection with Ahsoka too and may have shown some alternate Anakin to save her.
In Rebels there's a scene where Ezra sees his family in a tunnel, a vision put there by Palpatine to manipulate him There's that possibility here, that Palpatine is manipulating an image of Palpatine to keep her distracted from what she needs to do
Ahsoka and Baylan were even to me, Babylon might have had a very slight advantage because of his heavier strikes. The reason Ahsoka lost was from injuring her hand by grabbing the orb to stop them finding Thrawn’s location and was left fighting with only one hand and you have to remember she did not use her most common and strong stance by using both her lightsabers. Not sure why she didn’t use both her lightsabers.
I do like the fact that Ahsoka was using some of Anakin’s techniques using form 5 at times though, maybe that’s why she decided to use 1 lightsaber instead of her duel lightsabers but she would of been better of using duel wielding (Jar'Kai)
Remember Ahsoka died in The Clone Wars and was brought back to life by the daughter who gave Ahsoka her life force so Ahsoka obviously teleported to the world between worlds and brought Anakin through subconsciously or Anakin as a force ghost found the world between worlds walked through became human with his cybernetic hand and lightsaber and saved Ahsoka

She's protected by Morai. She's not dead. You completely left out the part where she has died before and was brought back to life by Morai giving her own life force to revive Ahsoka.
I disagree. I’m convinced that that’s not actually Anakin. Rather it’s the son Mortis masquerading as Anakin to manipulate Ahsoka. The same way he did In the clone wars show.
the real problem with the world between worlds is its in-between time and that's why you can access other point in time through it so theoretically time should not exist their so everyone who enters it theoretically should all be in their all together yet they are not suggesting the world between worlds has a timeline of its own meaning if you go their and change something someone else can go their after you and undo what you did and once you add that kind of mechanic to a IP the IP is dead because everything can be undone or redone and their for their is no point in keeping up with cannon because everything is both simultaneously cannon and not cannon so it becomes some sort of wired Schrodinger's cannon whare it is only cannon or not depending on when you watch it
I believe the first time we see a force ghost affect the physical world is in EP6. When Obi-Wan visits Luke on Dagobah, he moves the vines with his shoulder.
Although it's a good idea, she didn't die because it's only episode 4. She's been to the world between worlds whilst alive previously so it's plausible to be there once again without having died.
Ahsoka is flow walking: reference SW Legends. How many times have we seen in movies that people go through a 'spritual' journey before recovering for the next battle.
I think when baylens apprentice turning up alone made her think sabine was dead, she then tapped into her rage and threw her at a wall. This unbalenced her and plus the fact she had burned her hand and was not using her shoto lightsaber. In regards to her surviving, she is connected to the daughter, she probably has a small amount of abilities that wouldnt be available to a normal jedi like being able to enter the world between worlds in tense moments. That being said anakin is The chosen one, i think he saved her for a reason.
I mentioned this in another video, I think Ashoka having the essence of the Daughter prevents her final death and also makes it easier to pull Ashoka into the WbWs. I also think the WbWs is how she’s going to get to the other galaxy.
Makes perfect sense!! Anakin's desire and dream was stop people he cared about from dying. It was his downfall. But the quest was noble. Yes, Ahsoka is dead. BUT Anakin will have achieved the power he always wanted. And will bring her back! Thus, the most powerful Jedi. And again the Chosen One that brought balance to the force. In that in order to achieve it Anakin and to integrate the Dark SIde and Light Side of the force. Remember, the Emperor said his Sith Master sought the power but by his death (at the hands of the Emperor) clearly he did not achieve it! Anakin has! And no the ONLY Jedi and Sith ever to do it! Bringing back Ahsoka to carry on the good fight!
Great content TY for posting this. 😊 Anakin's line "I didn't expect to see you so soon" would suggest she shouldn't be there yet, so I don't think she died.. Also.. As Ahsoka contains "The Daughters" life force, her connection to the world between worlds is unknown. Can't wait for EP5 to see where this goes.
What got me was the music, it was the Darth Vader march music as soon as she saw Anakin which made me pause for a second and think he may attack her for some reason. Because the only time you ever hear that music is when Anakin is Vader and in Sith Mode. Because the Vader march music only plays when Anakin is dark, so I think this might not be the reunion everybody thinks it will be. This Anakin in the WBW might be one who is never cut down by Obi-Wan on Mustafar but is still Vader. So I'm not optimistic this Anakin is a good guy at all but a Vader without the Suit!! He may have pulled her into this timeline because he had to kill his Ahsoka instead of Obi-Wan on Mustafar so he wants to replace his Ahskoa with our Ahsoka. Also he had a lightsaber so he is NOT a force ghost, he's from another timeline.
The fact that Anakin said He wasn't expecting to see her so soon, means she is dead. But it can be a spiritual state and her boby is still under water.
Anakin pulled her into this world just like Ezra did. It's not anywhere near as complicated boss. He is gonna talk to her and then she'll take the doorway to Sabine
I believe that Ahsoka is tied to the world between worlds because of the Daughter who revived her and holds a part of her inside her so she can not truly die. I think that is how she either got pulled back because of her connection to the Daughter or why Anakin was able to pulled her back like Ezra did because she is connected to the force in a way that Anakin is now. There is also a possibility that Anakin is not who he is and is actually the Son in disguise, the Son would want to save his sister the Daughter as it wrecked him when she died by his schemes, it might be a chance for him so save whats left of her.
It makes Rey communicating with Jedi from the past significantly more interesting. I know that part of Filoni and friends' mission is to make the sequels more interesting than they truly were (And one of many issues with Rian Johnson is the fact that he didn't leave a few years between episode 7 and 8 that we would have been able to fill in later on in order to make his movie more interesting........his movie wasn't completely bad, but it was selfishly made, the guy seemed to forget that what he was doing was part of a trilogy which was part of a 9 movie franchise......)
Wouldn't it be better to say that Ashoka was not centered in the Force at the start of the duel? That being reminded that she was Anakin's Padawan and Anakin's ultimate fall to the Dark Side unbalanced her from the Force? Also, wouldn't her ability to move in and out of the World-Between-Worlds be more expected because The Daughter, the personification of the Light Side of the Force, gave it's very own life for her?
She ain't dead. They were equally matched in their own ways. I don't think Baylan outright won the duel - he even acknowledges this when he says 'That was unwise,' after Ahsoka grabbed the map with her bare hand. Ahsoka's mistake, though it was contextually driven given the time constraints on the hyperspace jump coordinates, was focusing on getting to the map vs. defeating Baylan first. She didn't know what would happen if she grabbed the map by hand. Wielding what amounts to a kitana one-handed against a physically larger and stronger individual wielding what amounts to a great sword two-handed is a significant mismatch. That's why she lost, not necessarily because Baylan is entirely more powerful.
Also for some and it gives hints to whats going on, and unless you picked up on it the subtitles give hints. When we see Anakin or this scene starts the Vader theme is being played. I know he has his own theme I don't remember one being made for Anakin, but unsure if that gives away any intention of where this may go. But that is a bit more information at least.
I don't think she died, I think she was pulled in alive through a portal by Anakin like she was in rebels. I think Anakin is going to help bring closure to their relationship as even if she doesn't admit it she hasn't moved on.. this is why I do think we are going to see a manifestation of Vader also next ep
Vader’s theme is the last thing in the episode. I read it in the subtitles, right as I was trying to identify what I was hearing.

She's protected by Morai. She's not dead. You completely left out the part where she has died before and was brought back to life by Morai giving her own life force to revive Ahsoka.
I was about to say the same thing
I disagree. I’m convinced that that’s not actually Anakin. Rather it’s the son Mortis masquerading as Anakin to manipulate Ahsoka. The same way he did In the clone wars show.
We’ve seen force ghost anakin, and that’s not him. Also no way they would make Ahsoka a force ghost in her own show. 4 episodes in mind you.
the real problem with the world between worlds is its in-between time and that's why you can access other point in time through it so theoretically time should not exist their so everyone who enters it theoretically should all be in their all together yet they are not suggesting the world between worlds has a timeline of its own meaning if you go their and change something someone else can go their after you and undo what you did
and once you add that kind of mechanic to a IP the IP is dead because everything can be undone or redone and their for their is no point in keeping up with cannon because everything is both simultaneously cannon and not cannon so it becomes some sort of wired Schrodinger's cannon whare it is only cannon or not depending on when you watch it
6:23 Everybody ‘joins the force’ when they die. It’s the ability to still appear as an individual that has to be learned.
Her hand was burnt. SMH
She's not dead shes in the world between worlds pulled in by Skywalker
“Why marrock is more powerful than the other inquisitors”
I don't think ite really him. The robes and the imperial march was the big give away
I’m not sure Asohka was out matched here. She didn’t start struggling until after the map burned her.
And what Anakin say, “…I didn’t expect to see you so soon…”
I believe the first time we see a force ghost affect the physical world is in EP6. When Obi-Wan visits Luke on Dagobah, he moves the vines with his shoulder.
@8:00 “When 900 pizzas, doughnuts and ice cream YOu eat look as thin YOU will not! Hmm?!”
Whats the midichlorian count of a force nexus?
It’s not force ghost anakin, somethings really off about this. She isn’t dead, I think this is all misdirection.
Ahsoka is alive/dead between 2 planes of existence. The Will of the Force will choose her future
I thought she died and the owl took her to the world between worlds
Well, one things for sure. That whole Ezra being the seventh brother went right out the window😂
i wonder if sabines helmet will be a plot point later in the show
Some thing I wouldn’t mind to see Aniken tell Asoka about the admiral
Man, Ray was the coolest - looking dude.
Hey. Vader didn’t vanish when he died.
Is no one talking about how Anakin has Vader's lightsaber on his belt and vader's music playing at the end?
Although it's a good idea, she didn't die because it's only episode 4. She's been to the world between worlds whilst alive previously so it's plausible to be there once again without having died.
Maybe that’s why Anakin has a dark Vader white saver because he’s going to fight The dark Jedi
That being said anakin is The chosen one, i think he saved her for a reason.
bro is quoting SWTheory word for word
I've always interpreted Obi-Wan's line about "if you strike me down..." as "I shall have eternal life."
Anakin's line "I didn't expect to see you so soon" would suggest she shouldn't be there yet, so I don't think she died.. Also.. As Ahsoka contains "The Daughters" life force, her connection to the world between worlds is unknown.
Can't wait for EP5 to see where this goes.
Shes having an NDE imo.
My only question is why didn’t Qui Gon evaporate? Qui Gon and Vader were both burned in ceremony
Ahhhhhhh so happy he’s back me and my partner were in shock a bit seeing Hayden again was amazing think they definitely did good
Damn now I want a Luke and Anakin reunion 😭🙌🏽
This is the first time we saw Anakin chronologically since Return of the Jedi 😭
It's like Luke Skywalker said. No one is ever really gone.
I just want to see more Anakin tbh
2:49 the kanobi series retcons that qui can and always could be a force ghost
The fact that Anakin said He wasn't expecting to see her so soon, means she is dead. But it can be a spiritual state and her boby is still under water.
Anakin pulled her into this world just like Ezra did. It's not anywhere near as complicated boss. He is gonna talk to her and then she'll take the doorway to Sabine
I don't think she died, I think it's a lot like when Erza pulled her into the World Between Worlds before she died that time.
How could Ashoka die during her fall? She was not struck by the saber. So if she is dead wouldn’t it have to be from hitting the ground?
Qui-Hon Jinn didn't disappear though? Neither did any Jedi that was killed during Order 66.
I know there was a Book or story about Anakin and admiral
The Son can enter the wbw just as easily as Morai can. That's the Son, he pulled her in.
Anakin and Ashoka have a lot to talk! I hope the next episode is a lot of dialogue and his thoughts about him being Vader
Anakin has his own theme in episode 1 but it is mixed with Vader's theme in a more nuanced way
If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine
