Beautiful! Please show the ones you make that don't turn out right and explain how the failure happened so that we can learn from those, too. Sometimes I learn more from mistakes than from successes. :) TIA
Lovely ideas and techniques. I've had some great success with placing saran wrap over the clay piece before cutting out your piece. Yields a nice curve. Cuts down on need to sand so much. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Much appreciated.
Thank you for sharing these ideas. I was missing the stamps and the paint. That made a difference. The sand paper use, I knew that already and the used mod posh . I used the glossier one. I made a similar project for some librarians. They loved it. Appreciate the ideas.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really like these lovely bowls. Something unusual on air dry clay and also very well finished off. I don't like bumpy finishes but these are really good.
I have some of this clay , but I was so nervous of trying but after watching you I’m going to open it up and have a go great video so straightforward very interesting just need to get some of these stamps thank you so much for sharing 🇬🇧😁
Thanks so much for your inspiring tutorial. Your bowls are gorgeous, and I love that you shared all the pros and cons you discovered in the process. You are an excellent teacher!!
Love this idea, I have pressed leaves into the clay and then water coloured them. The stamping is a great idea! I would have liked to see you get the clay out of the bowls. Do they just fall out when dry or do they need coaxing?
Use a popsicle stick to push the clay down into the bowl. It's not as thick as your finger and it's flat so you can kind of run it around the edge to flatten it better.
Beautiful bowl! How do you stop the pigment ink from smudging when you varnish? I have used pigment ink and up to a week later it seems to be still wet and smudges with the varnishing. Any tips greatly appreciated! Love your work x
Awesome project! I have a new found respect for the people who makes the plates we eat on everyday. Thanks for sharing this video and all the helpful tips about the difference of ink and pigment.
Fabulous video. Very informative. I just made my first clay bowls yesterday! I used embossing folders to create patterns & they turned out quite well but I'll be trying stamping now & hopefully I'll be able to iron out the links with all your info! TFS 💕
I love your bowls, but wish you had talked more about the thickness of the clay, whether or not to grease the bowl, how long it takes to dry, how to extract the shape from the bowl, etc. Too much time spent on your stamp collection for me and not enough on manipulating the clay. However, I am pleased you made this video, because I was about to experiment next on stamp images into my clay. 😊. I just want to understand better how to shape the clay.
I am so impressed!!! These little bowls are adorable!!! I love your choices of inks & colors & everything!!! My fave is the gorgeous octopus!!! I have that stamp set, too!!!
These are beautiful clay bowls, you have great stamping skills, could the bowls be sealed with Dishwasher safe Mod Podge?. Many thanks for sharing your projects with us. Jujue
You can definitely make plans pots with any kind of clay, though paper clay like DAS definitely needs waterproofing and Mod Podge might not be strong enough. I would use an acrylic sealant with a few layers, waiting for each to dry completely before applying the next. Or a varnish with UV protectant would be good for sealing it too.
In another DIY the gal used Dollar Tree makeup brushes. They don't seem to shed as much. Sorry I can't remember who's channel I was watching since I've watched so many! Loved these bowls!
It sounds like this clay is pretty delicate. Is it something that is food safe or is it just meant to be for decorative bowls? Thank you, they're beautiful!
Great tutorial very inspiring I've got a few packs of air dry clay laying around never got around to using think I will have a go at making some Chinese Ming dynasty style bowls using your technique! Have you ever tried to make a mold for your bowls with liquid silicon or maybe even air dry clay? If you pressed the bowl into it upside down it might work and provide a smooth rim?
Instead of pushing the clay into the bowl, have you tried tapping the bowl on the table. Or would it mess up the color if you layed the clay on the outside of the bowl.
Thank you for showing what doesn't work as well as what works. This has been the most inductive video on air dry clay I've seen. Great info!

These are lovely! They look so expensive, but they're handmade. That's really cool
I love the way your bowls turned out! The red one and the octopus are my favorite! Nice job! 😊
V pretty! Cling film in the bowl you rest it in would make it easier to get out.
Love love love these. I love that you can use pigment ink pads with the stamps rather than painting. Excellent tutorial. Thank you so much!
Wonderful really classy pieces!! I’m going to have to try this clay. Oh gosh another hobby, but oh looks to be soooo much fun !! Thank you !!

I’ve recently started using air dry clay, imprinting it with my stamps, but it never occurred to me to use the ink too! Your bowls look lovely!
Love all your pieces and learned a lot! Modge Podge will yellow eventually. Deco Art Triple Thick Glaze is awesome!
Modge podge also goes sticky on polymer clay...
Thanks so much for your tutorial. Bowls are beautiful. The for sharing your knowledge! I would also like to see how they come out of the bowl.😁

I like to use cookie cutter instead of a bowl, such clean edges!
Lots of great info. Your bowls are really nice. I suggest that one wear a mask while sanding or do it outside.

Good video! Can you tell me if you can bend the dishes with Das clay? Unfortunately you can bend the dishes with the air-drying clay of Creall.
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks for sharing your projects with us.
Jujue
She did use the dishwasher safe on them.
Love to know what size bowl she is using. Beautiful!
I don’t recall the exact size of bowls, but they’re those tiny prep bowls chefs use for spices, seasonings, etc. I forget the name of them.
Oh these are awesome. I want to give this a try. Thanks for sharing.
Soooo cool! I’m soo making those!, thank you 🙏🏻
I would like to try this clay but am concerned the end product may easily break. How strong are they really? Love these little bowls btw.
So pretty! Thank you

Hi ,I live in the UK.
Can you tell me where ,or how I can buy the inks and stamps from please.

where do you get the stamps at? Love your work!!
Thank you for mentioning the safety precautions. I have asthma, and the least bit of dust of any kind can affect me.
These came out amazing. Thanks for all the tips.
Wow....beautiful
Can you show us how to make large stamped beads to use with macrame?
This is so lovely! Can I make a plant pot with this clay and use mod podge to seal the inside? To make it waterproof?

In another DIY the gal used Dollar Tree makeup brushes. They don't seem to shed as much. Sorry I can't remember who's channel I was watching since I've watched so many! Loved these bowls!
How about the bowl upside-down and putting the clay bowl on top to dry instead of inside the bowl? Great video 👍
These look like so much fun to make. Thank you for sharing this great idea.
Jean Sundquist Thank you!! 💗💗💗
It sounds like this clay is pretty delicate. Is it something that is food safe or is it just meant to be for decorative bowls? Thank you, they're beautiful!
you should put a sheet of ceranwrap in the bowl, so you can easily lift it.
