Yes, but not to mention the crazy fact that a lot of these super weapons can actually be real. Excalibur? The tech exists. We're not that far from Stonehenge, either, and Megalith seems like the closest technology we could have today. In fact, Megalith can actually be built and used in our time.
Clyde Marshall If you have engines powerful enough, and a stable airframe, then it's possible, given the right assets. To take off and land is also possible, if you have opening and closing doors in the mouth, so you can cut off the air flow and lift to aircraft. If not than there needs to be a lift to take them below deck.
@Valor Vanguard at the same time, the top hole for the flight deck of the Agaion itself helps to provide lift. I've even put a model of one into a windchamber and yes. it can fly
Scinfaxi was a very large submarine. Never got super close to it (AA batteries discourage close observation) but I always assumed that the top deck was flat with a catapult and that air craft came up from an elevator in the conning tower. Landing on the Scinfaxi might be harder than taking off but assuming you're willing to do it one plane at a time and the Scinfaxi is as large as I think than it should be at least possible.
Some suggestions for the next vid: 1. In Sea Of Chaos mission, you encountered a Yuke aircraft carrier named "Admiral Tsanev" which is a Kuznetsov-class carrier, and the Yuke aircrafts you fought in this battle are Su-27 and Su-34 (other enemy planes like F-22/F-35/Rafale/Typhoon.... aren't counted because they're hostile Osean crafts and they DID used Osean color, i checked it ) So the question is : Can a Kuznetsov-class carrier launch Su-27 and Su-34 ? 2.In Ace Combat 3, if you follow Neucom part, there will be a moment that you have to land on a Sea Shadow-like aircraft carrier (really Neucom???) Is it possible to do it in real life? 3. Can a carrier-capable plane land on a moving flying fortress in real life? (i'm looking at you Aigaion :D )
1. there's an idea back in Soviet Union time to build a Su-34 that's carrier capable, I recommend watching that Su-27 documentary for more info. so possibly the Yukes somehow managed to modify Su-27 and Su-34 to be carrier compliant, which is not weird at all. 2. if one has the money and the will to go through the engineering difficulties, why not? 3. I doubt Aigaion and other flying fortress that can carry fighter jets fly lower than normal aircraft stall speed. so it's a plausible theory to the point even normal fighter jets like F-22A Raptor and F-15 Eagles can do it. but i'm sure it'd be an engineering headache IRL just a little of my thoughts
EA-18G Growlers the yuke carrier also launched mig 29s BTW i know the answer for your 1st question but i would not spoil it if AC fan does a vid about it
Great video you really need to keep this going you've got sone traction with this content. The only critic is the way you started, off you seemed to shy. Sound more confidant in yourself. The last thing is to just add some light music in the background. But other wise i loved it keep up the good work.
That's easy because it has more lift than the Strigon's glide plane, therefore (with more delicate handling than a normal runway) it's easy to land and go to the hangars.
The main problem with landing on Aigaion would be the wind blast through the "mouth" which would be concentrated (because it's a enclosed) and would be generating a ton of lift while the aircraft are trying to maintain their attitude. It would be like trying to land a plane in a wind tunnel.
What if the Scinfaxi uses an hydraulic elevator to lift the aircraft into the tunnel and uses the long tunnel as an runway (considering the Scinfaxi wasn't at scale in-game)?
I thought about the two you've mentioned but didn't add to the video otherwise it would get too long. The elevator would make sense because the tunnel obviously is not long enough to hold 23 and the catapult. From the opening I am imagining there would be a section for the plane to speed up (like a runway) but there is the need for a catapult which would be positioned just ahead of the elevator that would connect the tunnel (catapult/runway section) to the "aircraft storage" level.
What if the F-35s launched from the Scinfaxi aren't supposed to land on it in the first place? The F-35 has pretty good range while the Harrier's range is trash. What this means is that the Yukes may have just intended for the F-35s to land elsewhere like the Yuktobanian mainland or a distant carrier. There is precedent for things like this in the real world such as the Ise-class aviation battleships that Japan used during WWII.
For the Scinfaxi i imagine they have a runway that rotates like an escalator at a mall (except it goes straight instead of up or down) and the aircraft have landing gear similar to the Harrier making it easier for them to land and take off from the hellipad the only downside is that it'll take way to long (regardless if they launch one or two aircraft or hellicopters) and the Scinfaxi will be vulberable to a suprise attack from enemy ships and aircraft
Great video! For the next one, I hope you can use some music so it's not too quiet and make the video more concise. The intro about the discussion is too long for me. Maybe it's better if you prepare a script first.
Launching fighter is actually pretty simple and easy, even from a submarine. I mean we're talking about a universe where we can build fighter jet with laser beams, fighter jet with railgun, gigantic railgun that can shoot down asteroid, gigantic airplane that can carries multiple fighter jets inside it, gigantic tower that can spew death beam, and so on. We already have a submarine aircraft carrier far back in WW1, albeit very crude and simple and can only carry one plane. But it's 1914! And I also agree with your statement, those F35C is launched from that door. The real question is... how they LAND those F-35C.
To me this is actually the Yuktobanian (Strangreal 🇷🇺) version of the World War 2 Japanese I-400 submarine aircraft carrier because both operate folding wing planes F-35C for Yuktobania (Strangreal 🇷🇺) but Japanese I-400 M6A1 seiran propeller plane. Another possibility is Vtol F-35B like the Japanese Izumo helicopter Carrier
Heya mate, love your videos, only recently discovered you and loving what you have put out. Thought I would bring this little bit of info to your attention. The idea of a submersible carrier isn't actually new. In fact there were two sub carriers operating for Japan in WW2. Their first operation was set for Hollywood. So long story short, Scinfaxi style aircraft carriers (minus burst missiles) actually existed.
How would the f35c return the sub after air operations if it doesn't have vtol capabilities like the f35b and harriers? wouldn't it need the hook to snag wires in order to land back on the sub or is it a suicide mission for the f35s since there's only a catapult?
Hmm, I personally have a more important question to ask: Why is a submarine which can fire ballistic missile need to surface. We irl already have large submarine that can rain missile down the enemy's head from underwater (An yes, even the biggest class of sub we have ever built, Typhoon class from USSR, can do that. There's no reason whatsoever for the sub to surface.
Mammoth Mk3 Well, my discontinued friend, the answer is this: damage! You see, Mammoth Mark 3, you and the Scinfaxi class share a similar design flaw that Nick Parker was too blind to look at, (due partially from the scars, another part muzzle flashes turning his corneas into burnt lumps, and a final part nostalgia) the fact that you both have a serious weakness to even getting coughed at sharply from upwind. You can survive anything but a couple of air units or a commando unit, while the sub can survive anything except a rupture in the missile bays, in which case it has to surface and be smacked by Razgriz for a few minutes before it croaks and sinks faster than Nagase can say “that’s not... it can’t be!”. Also, the Scinfaxi was shot by a giant laser so it kinda gets a free pass, and the second was shot with multiple missiles while getting food and porn mags for another couple months under the ice of the Razgriz Straits, so it also has a free pass.
I have one important question regarding mission 16B in AC5. Exactly how many enemies spawn in that mission alone? I have destroyed well over 100 with the ground units alone. So I wanna know if it's most of them, or maybe a portion of an even bigger number of forces in the Jilachi Dessert.
There is proof that one of the big subs could have already been waiting is mission #13 The demon of Razgriz the mission up north where you had to destroy the second sub. Helifaxi is consider an synfacti class. so if one of them is able to launch planes the second one can too. a prefect way to ambush.
One huge question for the Ace Combat series that will probably go unanswered is; what ace style in Ace Combat: Zero is actually canon? I know it was written to be open to all styles, but there has to be one which prevails as the best fit, right? Also, I'm curious for an opinion, but should a previous protagonist character return in another AC title, or become their own recognized non-player character? I don't think so, personally, but I believe that these player-protags deserve a mention from characters in future games.
Alban Zekthi Alright man. I still think they deserve some mention in conversions, though. It would really add to the lore and affect the player-protag pilots had worldwide.
it's totally possible that aircraft launched by the (Scinfaxi?) weren't meant to return to its origional hanger. The only reason that combat persisted at all was because structual damage prevented the scinfaxi from submerging for long periods. It simply couldn't escape the mission zone.
There is one thing that you forgot to mention in the video, in mission 7 Frontline they appear F18, where did they come from? did the Scinfaxi launch them?
Really interesting actually. Having the catapult inside the Scinfaxi makes sense, but landing would be another thing. Definitely not practical to be wasting aircraft like that, especially considering the cost of the F-35, so maybe it's just meant as a last ditch thing? You did forget to mention how the F-35 is rubbish IRL. :P
That could be the case actually. I doubt that. The F-35 couldn't take on an F-16 for crying out loud. All the excuses that were given can be easily shot down as well.
I have a request : Mission 12B. When you're spotted, why not keep heading towards the base? Maybe the transports will be hidden under something or additional SAM sites will pop up but why do we have to abort straight away?
Christopher Michael It's entirely a stealth/surprise attack on that base. They want to keep the freshly made weapons there for them to destroy it all as they penetrate the system. Hope that helps, bud.
Vlw amigo!
which side did the f35s come from? if they arrived from the inner straight, it's possible the 5 f35s were from the sub and the harriers were carrier launched
It's also possible that the harriers or the f-35's came from Belka, it's also possible they made a temporary airfield. Also, how did the kestrel not sink when the Sub surely had enough missiles to sink it and the concussion wave is enough to tear apart planes and kill crew members. did it?
I think you forgot to mention that 3 of the Harriers had risen up from the water in mission 5. So this leads to a bigger question: Since the Scinfaxi can launch fighters, could it possibly launch fighters while it is submerged?
Maybe the Hrimfaxi could launch its UCAVs while underwater, because they could've been designed to do that. But manned fighters like the Harrier and F-35, nope. The Scinfaxi would have to surface first
if the enemy can only use the planes that the player can use in campaing, why does the player can´t chose the av-8 harrier? since i was a little6 year kid playing this game i made that question for 10 hole years, now that i found an expert like you it could be awesome if you can explain to me and also the community
hey! I think in AC5 the graphic detail is not that good so the hole looks like so small, but actually if it was in ac7 the hole would be real life sized.
Maybe if you had unlimited money Yes. Would it be use full no there is no reason to have a bilstic missle sub that can also launch fighters the missles make the fighters redunant
That should work and you might need a plane that can fold it's wings. Example is the Japanese I-400 where the Aichi M6A1 Seiran folds its wing sideways
mas se na missão 5 os navios estão saindo do territorio de osea para atacar os yukes como o scinfaxi vem daquele mar dentro do territorio de osea sendo q na missão 7 ele está vindo pra osea ?? acho q vc inverteu as direções no video
Lego Kid 104 Stonehedge is actually a Ace combat 4 super weapon. Infinity is just a copy an past game of past levels just to keep us busy till Ace combat 7
There you go: vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/acecombat/images/9/9e/Strangereal_Map.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140728151955 I find this one better: i.imgur.com/frNyH.jpg (It's smaller, though)
Yeah, and it was a massive beast. The thing with that is it serviced few Zeroes, and had a crane to hoist them back onboard. In a way, it's like how a bigger capital ship launches aircraft of its own. The simple purpose is for scouting.
Fun Fact:there is an internal gun in the A version of f35 (Air Force)while the others use gun pod. F35B (marines) has helluva problems and the f35c (navy)version has the biggest wing (navy ,what are you thinking)
The F-35B is the STOVL (Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing) and the F-35C is the carrier and VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) and its wings can fold.
almost all your theory's are wrong... first why are you comparing the scale of the sub to the players aircraft? they are not in scale what so ever. everything is much smaller, 2nd the F35B is used in those missions, why? because the devs didnt change the name or make a new model for a f35B so the f35c was used instead...
I suppose we need to measure our expectations of realism here. This is a world where sky fortresses like Aigion and XB-0 are the norm.
Yes, but not to mention the crazy fact that a lot of these super weapons can actually be real. Excalibur? The tech exists. We're not that far from Stonehenge, either, and Megalith seems like the closest technology we could have today. In fact, Megalith can actually be built and used in our time.
But could something like Aigion actually get airborne let along fly for extended periods? Could air craft even take off and land on it?
Clyde Marshall If you have engines powerful enough, and a stable airframe, then it's possible, given the right assets. To take off and land is also possible, if you have opening and closing doors in the mouth, so you can cut off the air flow and lift to aircraft. If not than there needs to be a lift to take them below deck.
Clyde Marshall It could be possible that Aigaion is launched waterborne, providing it plenty of run space, and ease of refueling any time.
@Valor Vanguard
at the same time, the top hole for the flight deck of the Agaion itself helps to provide lift. I've even put a model of one into a windchamber and yes. it can fly

there were no Mig-29 in Sea Of Chaos, you can check again mate

Kowalski, analysis
I love this guy, soundtracks from the ace combat games without paying and now theory (I guess) videos about ace combat stuff XD
Theories about the main character of Ace Combat games ie: Blaze, Cipher, etc
If you're thinking about the protagonists being the same person, then I got news for ya: They're not.
I literally just made a video about that couple days ago - and they are not the same person
AceCombat Fan Exactly.
AceCombat Fan Not what I had in mind but okay then
I was thinking more like TvTropes.com WMG section theories
Realism not required, the Glipnir exists
Seeing this video after watching your latest video, I just realized how much you've developed since I subscribed to your channel, ACF

AceCombat Fan how did the erusians create megalith? it looks to me like a big fortress on an island raining missles on usea
What if the F-35s launched from the Scinfaxi aren't supposed to land on it in the first place? The F-35 has pretty good range while the Harrier's range is trash. The better question is: "How does it recover them?"
I think they land vertically and taxi back to conning tower, where they are recovered back to hermo-sealed hangar.
I love this series please more I always wondered about the scinfraxi
I love how they have NZ actually in game lol
Wow, I considered the possibility that the Scinfaxi had launched the planes in the Rendezvous mission, that's interesting

can you make a video what if ace combat infinity had helicopters and how would it effect gameplay
AceCombat Fan I HAVE AN IDEA. How da foof does the SOLG maneuver? Am I supposed to believe that those four spokes function like a propeller?
"Rotating accelerator" my ass
I wish we can get the arkbird in AC infinity

Launching fighter is actually pretty simple and easy, even from a submarine. The true answer here is "shut up, it looks cool"
The Heirmfaxi uses a vertical launch system.
The Hrimfaxi also only launches drones, which, in the Ace Combat series seems pretty disposable. It doesn't have to worry about retrieval.
ValorODST the United States is currently testing this style of system on a missile boat.
There can only be one Valor here bruh xD
James Buckner. It's totally practical, too. A simple steam catapult should be enough to launch a UAV vertically.
i guess they use steam engine in the submarine
love these videos

that top part is most likely a hanger for the fighters and when they sortie they are pretty much hit and run to the nearest air field
also id say around 6 multirole fighters
Why is there an F35 in ace combat 5 but not ace combat 6
XJXC Defence cuts.
Better question, why is there the F-35C in AC7 but not the A?
It sucks and they scraped it like they should've done in real life.
I wonder what the scinfaxi hrimfaxi and arkbird look like in the inside.
so yeah that little nook in the back is the only possible and logical place that scinfaxi could appropriately launch aircraft in that case
There is proof that one of the big subs could have already been waiting is mission #13 The demon of Razgriz the mission up north where you had to destroy the second sub. a question about AC5:
Who the hell is Pix?
(he appears only in "final option" to say "This is pix: there are no debris in the water")
Zatch Xavier "Kuja" He was one of the Sea Goblin pilots
Zatch Xavier "Kuja" Probably Pixy from AC0 but who knows?
Raihan Bairuni XD

that's right hrimfaxi launches drones

hey! I think in AC5 the graphic detail is not that good so the hole looks like so small, but actually if it was in ac7 the hole would be real life sized.
One question can we build a scinfaxi and would it be usefull
Maybe if you had unlimited money Yes. Would it be use full no there is no reason to have a bilstic missle sub that can also launch fighters the missles make the fighters redunant
That should work and you might need a plane that can fold it's wings. Example is the Japanese I-400 where the Aichi M6A1 Seiran folds its wing sideways
JDX the legend
mas se na missão 5 os navios estão saindo do territorio de osea para atacar os yukes como o scinfaxi vem daquele mar dentro do territorio de osea sendo q na missão 7 ele está vindo pra osea ?? acho q vc inverteu as direções no video
Outro br :v
But how do they land back?
Make a video about the metior railgun in ace combat infinity
Lego Kid 104 Stonehedge is actually a Ace combat 4 super weapon. Infinity is just a copy an past game of past levels just to keep us busy till Ace combat 7
What would you want to know? How it works? Is it practical? or...?
かつての日本は伊400という潜水空母をよく作ったもんだ。

could you link that map in the discription?!
There you go: vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/acecombat/images/9/9e/Strangereal_Map.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140728151955
I find this one better: i.imgur.com/frNyH.jpg (It's smaller, though)
I identify as a scinfaxy class
All of it's aircraft are VTOL...
Thanks to add Brazilian Portuguese Translation ^-^)/
艦橋にゴムパッチンがついてるんやろ(適当)
Good vídeo (i'm speak spanish :c)
これはアリコーンである程度方法の予想はついたよね。
And... here goes my crazy question... how it'll land in the scinfaxi? Since it doesn't have any kind of landing pad... another crazy question.

talk about airbird
GuilhermeSantos Motta ackbird

Didn't the Japanese develop a submarine carrier?
Yeah, and it was a massive beast. The thing with that is it serviced few Zeroes, and had a crane to hoist them back onboard. In a way, it's like how a bigger capital ship launches aircraft of its own. The simple purpose is for scouting.
The I-400 class and it's purpose was attack the Panama Canal. Plane for that is the M6A1 Seiran submarine aircraft carrier bomber.
and average fighters carry more than 100 missiles.
pennis submarine XD . y lov ace combat 5.
I think it was just an oversight on Project Aces' part.
I thought you were from Germany, because of ... reasons.
They couldn't land there. That's completely ridiculous.
almost all your theory's are wrong... first why are you comparing the scale of the sub to the players aircraft? they are not in scale what so ever. everything is much smaller, 2nd the F35B is used in those missions, why? because the devs didnt change the name or make a new model for a f35B so the f35c was used instead...
