TX Public Land Shotgun Doe

The USFS (national Grasslands) land near me does not allow hunting with rifles. It is archery, shotgun, and muzzleloader only. You are allowed to harvest does during archery season, but the only time you may take does with a firearm is in the limited 4-day season following Thanksgiving. I went out Friday and Sunday, fortunately getting a doe on the last day of the season! I grew up hunting with a rifle, from a blind, overlooking a food plot. I now appreciate how easy that was and how good I had it. This year all my deer kills have been on public land, from the ground, with no bait, and using a bow or shotgun. I'm thankful to have the meat from this doe.

So your 3:23 video chasing Nilgai with a bow the bike was such a blessing to me a few years ago, I have killed three Nilgai two on public land in the past three years. Had a wonderful time doing it. Thank you for your videos. They’re very encouraging and very informative.
