    Good to hear it's still going OK ; and yeah , 3:27 going off road certainly adds to the repair bills or as I put it ''4 x 4 fun adds up to $ x $ repairs'' . I'm amaze what some do and expect of their vehicle ; like the bloke who drove off a perfectly good road (where most stayed) to drive into a drain beside the road . As I remember it didn't go too well hey Graham 😇😁
    And come on mate ; set the example ; wear boots in the shed even if as clean/tidy as yours. You can't do that at work for a very good reason ;)

    I carry a ryobi rattle gun in my ute always. Nice quick wheel changes!

      The ryobi rattle gun is the most important bit of kit you could have with ya I reckon. Powerful little buggers. Lol

    I also installed a catch can and min3 traps a lot of oil. Especially when i tow heavy loads. Just goes to show how much oil would jave gone back to my intake manifold.

    The wiper fluid you use will contribute to the life and effectiveness of your blades try using Bowdens own bit pricey but you only use a small amount as it’s super concentrated and requires premixing before going in the reservoir I’ve had a bottle for close to 3 years and only replaced blades once

    • @grahamharris4wdadventures53
      @grahamharris4wdadventures53  Год назад +1

      Yeah I think I might try it. Although we use the same wiper fluid in all our 7 cars, but the mahindra seem to be the only one that has dramas. I reckon it's because it sits in he sun for 7 days straight parked on a coal mine. That coal dust is bloody abrasive.

    Hi Graham, does your rear diff seem a bit noisy when taking off on a flat sealed road sometimes like if you are turning a corner at an intersection from a stop position?

    • @grahamharris4wdadventures53
      @grahamharris4wdadventures53  Год назад +1

      Naa not really. Just make sure your difflock is coming out. Try turning on full lock on grass, and see if one wheel is spinning faster then the other. I have herd some diffs have trouble with it sticking.

    Hey Graham how high is you shed? Can you stand up under the hoist? I’m thinking of installing one in my garage.. cheers mate

    • @grahamharris4wdadventures53
      @grahamharris4wdadventures53  Год назад +1

      4m to the gable. Yeah you can stand up under any of the vehicles. It's a tuff lift hoist. $3000 delivered to the closest depot to you. Just make sure your slab is 200mm thick where you bolt the hoist down. They come with 200mm dyna bolts.

      The current rims are off an black edition S11 mahindra. The steel rims o had previously were from infinity wheels here in Australia. But I don't think he does them any more. Thanks for watching 😀👍

      Parts are hard to get, and certainly dealerships don't have good customer care. Wheels are a stupid 5x160 stud pattern, and aftermarket rims are impossible to find. Reliability is also an issue. Some have no problems, some are plagued with issues like mine. Iv had a carrier bearing in the tailshaft let go at just 20,000km, a steering rack at 40,000km and now iv had a turbo fail at 63,000km. Plus electrical problems from engine wiring harness, to rear wheel sensor harness. So yeah, they definitely need to fix some issues with them.

    What was the sensor that failed on your rear diff?

    • @grahamharris4wdadventures53
      @grahamharris4wdadventures53  Год назад +2

      Traction control sensors. Had the lights come up on the dash. Both plugs were stuffed, and wouldn't stay connected. Had to put zip ties around them until the rear harness turned up.

    Hey Graham, have you ever considered exporting your knowledge to India (open up a business kitting out these rigs there) lots of new money with folks eager to learn how to do it right and from what I see its very amateurish. big wheels and not much else kind of thing.

      @grahamharris4wdadventures53 you should Graham, you are passionate about what you do. You've got a wealth of knowledge in overlanding that folks in India do not possess because this is a relatively new phenomenon there. The Indian economy is soaring, more and more people have disposable income to pursue their hobbies. Perhaps a collaboration with existing companies or even affiliate with groups like club Mahindra.
