Hi Graham i have been watching your videos for a while and wondering what size tyres your running and are they a neg offset rim. Like the fj mate great truck.
G'day mate. The tyres were 265x65x17 kenda klever M/T. The rims were off a 2021 S11 and I think they were pos 13 offset from memory. I did run steel dynamic rims that were 15x7 with a neg 22 offset, but I sold them and bought the alloy rims. Hope this helps mate. And thanks for watching. It's very much appreciated 👍 😀
Hope your son recovers well! The 200 sounds good.
Thank you so much. And thanks for watching. Very much appreciated 👍 🙏
Lovely Ep with dearer and cheaper setups all working well, Oh well that's life sometimes, Can have all the safety gear and do the right thing and Ship happens, I hope your son is feeling better,
Thanks mate. He goes in to fracture clinic tomorrow to see if they have to do surgery on it.
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 Ok that's good, he be back on his feet in no time, gee that 200 sounds awesome
Yeah, got to love a tuned v8. Lol
Great review Hope the young fella pulls out of opp. Question. Have you ever had problems with pulling you tow hitch out of any vehicles you have owned, as mine gets rusted into the hole, many times, I gotta lay under the car, bash the liven crap out of it ro change the tow hitch. Have you ever has this, if so, how did you solve the pblm. I thinking rubbing back, painting rust remover in side the hitch and out where it slides in, then maybe some grease, witch grease thou, thinking marine grease, what's your thoughts. Thanks in advance. Great to see family out n about again. Missed you guys. Thanks for sharing
@robbiecryer G'day mate, yeah the hitch in the little shorty is stuck in there and won't come out. But since it can't pull anything to heavy, it will always have the 50mm ball. As for the others, we are changing them quite often from 50mm ball to DO35 hitch. So they don't get time to rust in place. I do clean them pretty often as well and up them with some WD40. So yeah, I would definitely up them with a wire brush, even the hitch shaft itself. Then put some WD40 on them to repell the water. Grease will attract to much sandy grit that will bind it up when trying to remove it. Hope this helps mate. Oh and thanks for watching. Very much appreciated 😀👍🙏
Thanks Graham. I couldn't figure how any winch would fit in there until you pointed out the bolt positions for the winch. I'll start looking at winches now. When are you getting another Mahindra? All those Mahindra videos were very interesting.
Thanks mate. I will never buy another mahindra after all the drama I had with mine. Great little 4x4, but the build quality was crap, and the after sales service was atrocious!!. Mahindra Australia even tried blaming me for all the problems it was having, trying to get out of the warranty claim. I didn't expect that from a company I was trying to help!!. I love my 200 series landcruiser, and I'll never go back to mahindra. It's a shame, because I had high hopes and a lot of interest from people all over the world with it. Even roothy was very disappointed how mahindra treated me. Thanks for watching mate, very much appreciated 👍😀
Awesome job!
Thank you. 👍😀
Sagging in the bum wasn't well timed. 😂😂
Stay away from this car
I agree 👍

I did. I sold it and bought another landcruiser. Lol
Turbo failure? Yeah figured oil clocking up or a leakage of some sort. Heê, happens.
Apparently the bearings failed. Probably due to lack of oil. Or just cheap bearings. I was so glad to sell that mahindra and buy another landcruiser. No issues with it. Thanks for watching 👍
great Cars! how do you find the Mahindra rear auto diff lock? does it lock quickly or it allows some initial will spin, thanks
Before I sold it, I was using it quite often on the 4x4 tracks. And I found the diff lock worked just fine. Not to aggressive, but predictable. Mine was a manual gearbox, so the diff lock kicked in pretty early if you dropped the clutch. I did test drive an automatic gearbox version, and found it took way to long for the diff to engage. You really had to give it some reves to get it to lock up. I actually liked the diff lock in mine. It was the one thing that didn't go wrong with my mahindra. Thanks for watching 👍😀
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 thanks ! can you explain a little further what do you mean by "dropping the clutch" im new to all this 4x4, and planning on buying a manual Mahindra, thanks
@ricardotellezzapata9711 it just means, you take your foot off the clutch quickly. This, along with some revs can spin the wheels allowing the diff locking mechanism to engage faster.
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 what did go wrong with it? I'm trying to do some research into them.
G'day mate. At 20k it spat the carrier bearing on the tail shaft. At 40k the steering rack and the engine wiring harness failed. Both had to come from India resulting in the vehicle off the road for a month. 65k the turbo failed. 70k the DPF sensor was filling up with water. In amongst all of that it had heaps of electrical dramas with sensors filling up with dirt and water. Door cards kept rattling, and constantly coming up with lights on the dash. The worst thing is MAHINDRA tried blaming me for the issue. I was told that my 4x4 should NOT be driven off road as much as what I was doing. Can you imagine if Toyota had told its customers not to take their 4x4's off road...... in the end I got sick of it and mahindra. So I traded it in on another cruiser. Mahindra are an absolute bunch of self centred AHOLES and will never fix the problems.
Ha there mate I'm at the stage where I will be getting my last truck I have a limited funds and want go get new which means may be a merhindra or maybe one off the Chinese brand I'm a fisherman so I don't do extreme 4x4 work just need to get my self down bush tracks just would like your view Chinese or or merhindra I have watched your video love them .Rg John.
G'day mate. Personally I wouldn't touch a mahindra again after knowing what I know now. Biggest bunch of idiots that have no idea on how to look after their customers. The vehicle itself is really a toss of a coin if you get a good one. If you get a good one, you won't have to deal with their awful customer service. But if you get one that starts having issues, you might as well chuck it off a cliff. The Chinese stuff like LDV is a better option in my view. They seem to have their fingers on the pulse a bit better. Parts on both sides are a little sparse, but aftermarket parts are more available for the Chinese brands. That's because 99% of mahindra parts are all in house. Where the Chinese stuff is more accessible from aftermarket dealers. At the end of the day they are both cheap Ute's, and sometimes you get cheap quality. But do your homework on both by looking at Facebook forums, and ring some workshops about wait time on parts and service costs. The mahindra was bloody expensive to service!!. I look at it this way now, if it breaks down, how long will it take the company to get my hard earned money back on the road safely. I know for a fact my mahindra was parked up for up to a month some times. Good luck with your decisions mate. Thanks for watching, and feel free to ask any more questions. 👍
Hi Graham Are you still happy with the trident? I have started looking for a tractor and these give good bang for your buck. Have you had any issues with it?
Mate I'm over the moon with it. Such a great little tractor. I recently had the privilege of going through the trident facility's at Brisbane. I was really happy with the availability of parts, and the customer service. That to me as a buyer is definitely a bonus. The biggest problem about buying something you don't know much about, is the availability of parts if it does have a problem, and who can I call to get it fixed. There guys and girls at trident really look after you. As for my personal experience owning one, I couldn't be happier. The kids and wife are always using it when I'm not home. It just doesn't miss a beat. And the backhoe is such a great implement to have in your arsenal of attachments. Give them a go mate, you won't be disappointed.
Ya Gotta be Kidding Us.
In what way??
Hey mate can I ask how much the gvm upgrade ended up costing please?
Sure. It was $3500. That was 4 foam cell shocks and coils and adjustable pan hard rod. It sounds a lot for suspension, but the engineering plate is a big part of it. The lift didn't require upper control arms, as it was only a 2 inch lift. Been on there foe a while now, and it feels great on and off the road. But after we got the 200 done, I found a different mob called "outback armour". I would definitely be going with that brand now, because they have a 5 year unlimited km warranty. That is better then any other brand. Thanks for watching. 👍
You must have plenty of cash. Most of us can't afford Toyota's.
My family and I work bloody hard to be able to afford what we have. So if you can't afford something, maybe you should work harder to get it. Remember, I bought the mahindra not because of its value, but because I believed it would do the job asked of it. And obviously it failed big time. So yeah I replaced it with something that is reliable.
following you all the way from tunisia north africa. doing great. please what kind of rims tire seize and off set you have on this video
Wow, what a great honour to have you watching. The rims were 15 x 8 inch with a positive 13 offset. I think they were branded as "dynamic" rims. Thanks for watching and thanks for your feedback. Very much appreciated. 🙏👍😀
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 thank youuuuuu how about the tires?
@selimbaccar3622 the tyres were 265x75x15 road x. In all terrain. I didn't actually Luke the tyres. I ended up putting kenda klever M/T tyres on it in 17 inch. Which was a way better tyre.
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 LOVE IT
@selimbaccar3622 thanks. 👍
did you build the exhaust or buy it i need one for mine?
Custom built.
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 how did you go about doing it
@brockwaring4453 an exhaust shop made it up for me.
Absolutely amazing. I have tried looking for those ultimate storage you have but can not find them anywhere 😩
Thanks mate. Bunnings should still have them. We bought the full kitchen set-up for the house as well. Thanks for watching.
Graham your honesty is very rare, bloody refreshing these days mate. I like these ute's but given the issues you have had with yours I'm a little concerned about the reliability.
Thanks for the kind words mate. Look I do think the little mahindra ute is great value for money. But the biggest problem is mahindra themselves. They have absolutely no idea on what the customer needs. Lack of parts and reliability issues are just basic stuff a company should be getting right!!. Not to mention every time they make something that is a thing, they go and stop making it. Like the current shape ute, the killed off the 2 door version, then the manual version, and now they are killing off the ute as we know it, and replacing it with a want to be hilux lookalike!!. Absolutely stupid move in a country that was screaming out for an honest little farm ute, not another soccer mums car that you wouldn't take around the farm. I know I definitely wouldn't be putting my hard earned money in to mahindra. Thanks for watching mate. Much appreciated 😀👍
The cost of the Mahindra compared to the others still puts it way ahead. If money is no option, then buy one of the others. For me though, Mahindra is number one.
Yes they are great value for money, until they break down. Then you realise the lack of parts, and bad customer care from some dealers is not worth the hassle. I certainly put a lot of money and time in to mine, just to trade it in on a more reliable landcruiser. But others have had a good run out of theirs. And that's the biggest problem with mahindra, the quality control is crap compared to major manufacturers, and it's a real toss of a coin if you get a good one or a bad one. Hope you don't have any issues with yours. Thanks for watching 👍
hello greetings from Pontassieve province of Florence Italy I have a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 that I use for soft and medium difficulty off-road because it is all original and only has the reinforced Ironman nitrogas shock absorbers that go from a standard set up to + 5 cm and my Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 has the 1.3 LT petrol m13a engine from the year 2001 that I use for dirt farm and forest roads and which are often used by lumberjacks with their forestry tractors and skidders and forwarders and thanks to its dimensions my Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 off-road vehicle reaches places where a larger 4x4 vehicle has difficulty getting to!
Wow that is so cool. The little Suzuki is a popular choice over here an Australia as well. They are a fantastic 4x4, and the fact they weigh a lot less then others means it can go so many more places then the bigger landcruisers and Nissan patrols can. Sounds like you have a good set-up on yours. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the feedback. It is very much appreciated. 😀👍

You getting uh new toy buddy Thank's for sharing cobb
Naa, although the black series would certainly look good parked up my backyard. Lol. I received an invitation to go down to the Brisbane dealership and do a premonition video for them. So I took the family along and had an awesome time seeing how the business was run.
I’m looking forward to seeing the Jackaroo put through the paces!
Yeah it should do ok. It's only got A/T tyres on it. But I'm keen to see how it works. Stay tuned mate and thanks for watching 👍.
Another beauty mate. Really enjoying the new episodes you’ve released lately. You guys have the best camp setup. And love the fact you build all your own gear. Thanks Graham. Look forward to the next one. I didn’t know you had problems with the Jackaroo. Hopefully not too expensive to rectify. 👍🍺
Thanks mate. Yeah the jackaroo had clutch dramas. Both master and slave cylinders went in the old girl. Took a bit to get it back on the road as the Colorado also did the bearings in the rear diff. So money was tight for a bit. But the young fulla got the jackaroo running again, so time to take it off road. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the kind words. Very much appreciated. 😀👍🙏
Good to see a fresh upload on the tube mate 🤙🏾
Thanks mate. Put a few up the other day, trying to get back in to the swing of things. Lol
Did u cut any of the hoses from engine side to airbox
I trimmed about 10mm off the joining rubber between engine and air box. Apart from that, it bolted straight up.
Doing the DMax thing...
Not exactly sure what you mean. But I'm happy I traded it in on a 200 series landcruiser now. 👍
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 everyone I know that I talk to has had a turbo replacement on a DMax some twice.
@tonybennett638 ahh ok. I have heaps of mates out the mines with me that have them, and none of them have had failures. Even my old d-max never had turbo issues. Bit Luke the mahindra, some times ya just get bad ones.
That turtle got going in a hurry especially when they say turtles are slow!
He sure did. It was trapped upside down between two rocks. So my wife decided to save him. Thanks for watching. It is very much appreciated. 😀🙏
What a beautiful place to camp. Great to see the whole family having a great time. Thanks for the effort making this episode mate, really appreciate your work. Also going to give those mince porcupines a crack. Thank the missus for the idea. Cheers Graham. 🍺
No problem at all. It really is a fantastic place. I definitely enjoy taking the family away and enjoying the great outdoors. Infact, we are heading off again this weekend to another beautiful beach location. More fishing, camping, buggy/bikes and great food by the camp fire. Please off the engine after little bit time after a drive mine also got damaged after 90 k.the mechanic who told me to do so
I always let my engine idle down after a long drive. It doesn't matter now, I sold it ages ago and bought a 200 series landcruiser.
Don’t be deliberately naive Lack of availability is deliberate.. & servicing costs and no air cleaner replacement (in remote Australia) Very inadequate ..
Doesn't bother me now..... I sold it and bought a 200 series landcruiser. Way better 4x4 and not a drama with it. Thanks for watching.
Mahindra sells this as a 7 seater suv in india since 2004 but they don't sell that model in australia instead they sell Scorpio N

Mate lve got 7 acres do you recommend this tractor and how many hours on the clock? What’s pros me cons after living with it?
G'day mate. Definitely a good size for 7 acres. We have 10 here, and it's ideal for what we need. The tractor has just over 80 hours on it at the moment, it shares a bit of the use with my 19hp iseki tractor, so the amount of use isn't really high. It's main use is slashing, digging and timber work. The only thing I have found troublesome, is the low/high range gear stick should be around the other way. When your in low, the gear stick pokes out in front of your left foot, so it gets in the road when jumping on and off the machine. But when it's in high, it's in an upright position away from everything. Apart from that, it is pretty well designed. Great hydrolic pressure and a gutsy little engine. It really is great value for money. The biggest part that sold me was the downward pressure on the 3 point linkage, the availability of parts, and the customer care after I bought it. Stuff I didn't get when buying a car. Lol. But seriously I am really impressed with the little thing, just an honest tractor that does the job. Hope this helps. And thanks for watching. 👍
I have one of the earlier models in South Africa Done 500,000km +
Nice. I'm glad you have had a good run with it. It's a shame mine wasn't as reliable. I'm sure I would have had a lot more fun in it. Thanks for watching. 👍
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 i guess region also matters. Parts and service ain't a problem in SA I wound have loved solid axles at the front.
@marshmallowsquad7988 yep, solid axle would have definitely been better.
I started about thinking about buying one again, looked to google for the local Mahindra, one 5 ks away massive advertisement , go do to look at them . Business no longer there replace by Scoda. That's settled it again , no Mahindra for me.
Love the way the simplicity axles work but not cheap!
Thanks mate. Considering you don't have any shocks to replace and the ease of mounting the whole system to your trailer, I'd say it's great value for money. I looked at quite a few independent set-ups, and the crap you had to go through just to mount them all exactly the same looked a pain in the ars compared to simplicity. I'm a big believer of keeping it basic and effective. Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for watching 👍
Yes mate they look like a fantastic simple design with little that can go wrong and next to no maintenance, keep up the videos they’re great to watch!
@jonathonchaplin7876 thanks heaps. I actually have the toy hauler in the shed getting it ready for our next camping trip in a few weeks. Can't wait. 👍
thanks for the heads up, but i want to ask , if there's something to prevent the turbo from failing , like blocking the egr valve or something ?
Unfortunately no. It was just a badly built turbo. A bit Luke the one they replaced it with.
