Thanks to your video, I was inspired to try again, as I had given up! Find a hard piece of flat wood the width of your palm or a flat tool. I did this with a vise grip plier. Hold your palm face up, holding the tool to protect and strengthen your palm, under the rear of the seat. You will be in contact with that angled metal piece with the cable running through it. As you lift up, you will notice the catching mechanism release. Once released, you're good, assuming all other steps are followed.
Make sure the seat is moved to the forward position and that the handrests are correctly folded. Keep the tool handy for future uses!

I went to a local bike shop and purchased the metal wire that is usually used in bicycle brakes and ran it through the black plastic part which was still fine and I didn't have to remove it, only the wire has snapped. That metal wire is longer than the original wire but it's ok. The wire has one end closed and the second end open which you can use to run through the black hose and used a bolt with a hole in it and tied it with the nut, this special bolt is also used in bike braking system. This whole thing cost me only a dollar where I live and it works perfectly fine.

That would be a sweet van for wife’s flowers business and yet run around with kids. Quick question, would you know if mounting bolt hold be same on a 2001 F350 and 11-16 F250 seats? Found manual front and rear seats from 11-16 F250 for my 01 F350 and been trying to figure out if the holes to mount will match and figure you might have looked into that will all the F trucks you did

i think the driver and passenger seat will work but the center console / seat mounts differently. i imagine you could make it work. i have a few 2011-2016 trucks. i could try them in a 2007 i have and see how it lines up.

J.C. SMITH PROJECTS that would help out, but don’t go out of your way, the front ill do pilot seat in middle, won’t have a console, so wondering if that would make things easier. I’m almost sure rear seat might have same mount holes. I guess trial and error = success

Go to the back of the seat underneath is a metal rod that runs along the back of the seat, feel that rod and go right in the center, there is another rod or lever about four inches perpendicular, just push it up with a little force and it folds the seat away so you can stow it

Look for a 2008-2010 van with "swivel and go" middle row. Simply steal its second row seats, recover them with your 2014 foam and covers. Voila.

I started removing the seat cushion from the back first, before removing anything else. On my 2014, you pull out at the bottom-back and plastic tabs attached to the fabric pop-out from behind the plastic end cover. Then you can lift-up the fabric flap and access the screws holding the end caps the cover the pivot joints. From there you just push the foam and fabric forward, and release the fabric on the sides of the seat.
