I love the Daniel Craig bond movies, as they basically tell the story of James Bond from the novels, but kind of in a greatest hits format. This is why he is my favorite bond.
As a 90's kid, Pierce Brosnan was my first Bond and was a little bitter that he had been replaced by Daniel Craig initially. It's funny now that he is leaving the franchise I will miss how absolutely amazing he turned out to be. Never judge a Bond by its cover.
Being Really OLD, Sean Connery will always be my Number 1 Bond, but Daniel Craig certainly pushed him close and his Bond was more like the original, charming but deadly; Emma would certainly make a fabulous Bond Girl, or maybe M, the wise, wily and clever brains behind the scenes; They do say every good Man needs a strong Woman behind him; 😊🤪🙏💃💃🎶🎧🎙🎬🍁🍁💃;
Yeah I love Sean too, and was afraid when they introduced that "blond actor" as James Bond. But they did a great job introducing him in the movie, he was really a good James Bond, manly and stylish.
I'm old enough to remember all the Bonds, each one brought a little something different to the role. Having said that, Sean and Daniel are my favorites to this day.

This is strong first outing for Daniel Craig as Bond, bringing to mind the early Sean Connery Films as a charming and stylish but ultimately deadly/ruthless secret agent; The opening sequence sets up the Film for an action packed ride; Adrenaline fuelled scenes in Africa on a crane, at the Airport, a fight on a stairwell and in a collapsing building, plus when Bond gets poisoned are all deftly staged; The torture sequence is a tough watch, and the car crash pretty raw; Plus we see Bond's ruthless and cold side again as he gets revenge for Vesper's death; One thing to note, is the Fabulous Music Score, Emma always reminds us the viewers to listen too and appreciate how the Music can help make the Film, I'm normally quite remiss on this front and cherish her continuous prods to this effect; Alongside the action Emma delivers a stylish/charming/dexterous/nuanced and incisive REACTION; And this is all done with sincerity, elan, panache and beauty; 😊🙏👏🙌🙏💃💃💃🎶🎵🎬🎧🎙🍁🍁💃💃;
The truth is all were good, the pre-Daniel Craig are more "fantastic" while Craig's one are more "realistic", but all of them have their forces... Sean of course, but Roger Moore are guilty pleasures, Timothy Dalton has been underrated, Pierce Brosnan was a good incarnation... It's not so much about the actors who are all great, but the writing vary and some are obviously a bit weak an cheesy, but overall it's a great license (to kill). Even the George Lazenby one is great.

I've always really enjoyed this movie, it is a very strong adaption of the, if memory serves, original James Bond novel of the same name, updated for the modern time and including some of the James Bond mythos that has built up over subsequent books and, particularly, the movies. Daniel Craig is a great embodiment of how Ian Fleming described his title character, a well educated and culture thug. I like the incorporation of the more realistic and brutal fights and that Bond actually gets banged up over the course of the movie (a trend started by The Bourne Identity), and of course like any mid 00's action film, there is an obligatory Parkour sequence. The rest of the cast is strong and it is a tense and well set up movie. Really loved your reaction as always, and I would recommend both the rest of the Daniel Craig run (Skyfall is the best, in my opinion) and really the entire James Bond series. One must take them with a grain of salt (particularly the rather painful sexism of some of the entries and also the absurdity of a few of the more comedic leaning ones) but they are fun movies to watch who largely aren't trying to be more than they are.
I saw Connery, Moore, Daulton and Brosnan. Each had their own take, each enjoyable on their own. Craig is unique in that he’s a very human, fallible Bond, yet incredibly blunt and unrelenting at the same time. He’s a focused tool of destruction. Best Bond ever, IMO. You should watch all of his five films. They are unique in that they tell a larger story when seen in order.
Hi, Emma! I have been a huge Bond fan since the early 80s, seeing For Your Eyes Only with Roger Moore as 007 when I was a kid. In order of my love of the actors: Sean Connery (1962-68, 1971, 1983)-Daniel Craig (2006-2021) (tied), Timothy Dalton (1987-89), Pierce Brosnan (1995-2002), George Lazenby (1969), and Roger Moore (1973-1985). This is going to be a long comment, so I am sorry. Let me say, I would love to see you react to all of the Bond films...finish Daniel Craig first and then start with Connery and work through them all. - This is the second Bond film directed by Martin Campbell; his other is GoldenEye (1995). Both of Campbell's Bond films introduce a new Bond to the series. Pierce Brosnan is in GoldenEye, and Daniel Craig is in Casino Royale. Another great Martin Campbell film is The Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. - The music is by David Arnold, the best Bond composer since John Barry, who set the bar and tone for Bond music and theme songs. Arnold started with the Brosnan Bonds, and this was his last Bond film. Other excellent Arnold scores are Stargate and Independence Day. I also really love the theme of the film Wing Commander (although the movie itself is...not...good.). The late Chris Cornell knocks it out of the park with the theme song "You Know My Name," which I consider one of the top 10 Bond theme songs. - The Craig Era of Bond adventures are pretty self-contained. They build up the many constant elements in the earlier Bond films. The only holdover from the earlier films is Dame Judi Dench as M (which stands for Missions), head of MI6 and Bond's boss (given name Olivia Mansfield). Dench started with the films along with Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye. - The black and white shot of Bond shooting the guy in the restroom, and then the red blood streaking down, is a nod to the standard opening of all the previous films...but Craig doesn't get the full opening shot the other Bonds have until later. Again, these films show Bond as a new Double-0 agent (licensed to kill), not as the tried and true agent the other actors played. - This was based on the first novel by Ian Fleming in his James Bond adventures. However, legal red tape prevented the production company EON Productions from making a version of it until 2003 or 2004, when the rights became available. Once they did, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson (step-siblings) revamped the entire franchise as almost a reboot. EON, which stands for Everything Or Nothing, was founded by Albert R."Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Later, Cubby bought out Saltzman and produced all the Bond films (except one in 1983, due to a legal loophole and a substantial legal fight). - Mads Mikkelsen (LeChiffre) tells how, as a kid, he loved poker and was really good at it. During all the poker scenes, all the actors were always good players-except one who had never played. Daniel Craig knew NOTHING about how to play poker and was horrible at it. Craig and Mikkelsen became quite good friends during filming despite being onscreen enemies. - The Madagascar Chase sequence was partly choreographed by the guy being chased. Sebastien Foucan was one of the founders of Parkour (or Free Running) and played the bomb-maker that Bond chases and fights. When the movie came out, it was one of the most original chase sequences ever put on film. - The silver 1964 Aston Martin DB5 is a callback to Goldfinger, starring Sean Connery as Bond. In many ways, even though Bond has driven many beautiful cars, the Aston Martin is synonymous with Bond and his lifestyle. That Craig's Bond wins the car playing poker is just a Chef's Kiss moment. One could be bought for around $780,000 USD to $2.4 million USD...but only at a classic car auction. - 27:19 - This is the classic Martini as written in Ian Fleming's novel. Bond calls it The Vesper, but it is the classic Bond Martini. "Shaken, not stirred." - The character of Felix Leiter, the "brother from Langley," is recurring in Bond films and novels. He is one of Bond's two dearest friends (the other being Bill Tanner, M's Chief of Staff). Felix represents the CIA and America's special relationship with Great Britain. Jeffrey Wright plays Felix during the Craig films and is the first actor to play the role consistently during the franchise. Only one other actor has played Felix more than once, David Hedison in Live and Let Die (1971) and License To Kill (1989). - The chemistry between Craig and Eva Green (Vesper) is off the charts. They made one other film together, but had no scenes together in it, The Golden Compass (2007). In the movie, Eva played the witch Serafina Pekkala, and Craig played Lord Asriel, which was the first attempt to film the Philip Pullman fantasy series "His Dark Materials." - When Bond swerves his car to avoid hitting Vesper lying on the road, the stunt created a world record of the most barrel-rolls a car has made in a movie. It rolled seven complete times, with the help of an air cannon built into the car to help roll it. - Bond falls in love twice in the novels. Vesper is the first...the second is in the book and movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) starring George Lazenby in his only film as James Bond. Ironically, OHMSS has one of the best storylines that Fleming wrote, but it is often a movie that many Bond fans do not appreciate because of Lazenby, who was not a good actor at the time (but got better in his post-Bond career). " Casino Royale" was actually the very first of the James Bond movies released in 1967 and staring David Niven in the title role. It was a much more comedic depiction of what we would come to know as the "licensed to kill" superspy of later films, and a big departure from the typical roles payed by Niven. In fact, the movie was "stolen" by the villain portrayal by Woody Allen. This production bears little resemblance, if any at all, to that original movie.
Many people say that Sean Connery was the better 007, ls a great actor, enjoyed him in many movies. In my time it was Roger Moore, a good 007 too, but my favorite one is Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig was a good one too, but somehow he doesn't have a 007 face to me like Connery, Moore and Brosnan..to me Craig is like a hit man, but Bond is a sophisticated operative, he kills, but with style.

It's a lot simpler than that. Connery through Brosnan are all the same Bond. There was a bit of a sliding timeline when Dalton took over to compensate for the twenty year age difference from Moore. But Connery through Brosnan all fought Dr. No, Goldfinger, Scaramanga, and Drax. They all married and lost Tracy. Moore, Dalton, and Brosnan all reference that tragic marriage. Craig experienced none of those things. He's in a contained bubble. We see his entire career from gaining double O status to his last mission. He never met Dr. No, Auric Goldfinger, or Max Zorin. He never married Tracy. Despite Dench reprising her role of M from the Brosnan films, she is not the same M in the Craig films. She never met the Brosnan Bond or had the experiences M had in those films. While the Craig films do occasionally reference things from the earlier films like the use of "We Have All the Time in the World" in No Time to Die or the copying the blinking dots from the credits of Dr. No. Those are all just knowing winks from a alternate timeline.

It works, it's just that the other films needed to be condensed down into those 5 years(from 2015 to 2019). They never make it clear whether the other films happen/or don't happen in the Daniel Craig Timeline. So they leave it open for *us* to figure out(if we want to). Audience participation(if you will). You can't have Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan as the same timeline, because Bond would be in his 60's by the Timothy Dalton films and beyond. I'm willing to believe that he was a Double-O until he was 59.....but not 60(sorry). * Unless you wanna say that he became a Double-O Agent when he was 5. The Judy Dench "M" can very easily be the same M. She could very easily have survived "Skyfall"(she may have simply passed out). As we saw in "Casino Royale" Bond never seems to have any CPR skills. So he may have simply *thought* that M died in his arms. All Bond would've had to do, is use his special Q-Branch smart phone to call for some MI6 helicopter from the Scotland Headquarters(shown in "The World is Not Enough"). * Then, at the hospital(or the Medical-Branch at MI6, as shown in "Die Another Day"), she may have decided to fake her own death(like Bond did in "You Only Live Twice"), changing her name from "Olivia Mansfield" to "Barbara Mawdsley"(she may have even had a rhytidectomy, and colored her hair). She was almost assassinated in "Skyfall". Some of the assassins may have gotten away(or there could be more). Why were they so cold to each other when they first meet in "GoldenEye"? Perhaps because it wasn't their first meeting since she decided to return. So by that time, it may have just been business as usual. She did smile at him, and say: "Bond.......come back alive." and then he smiled back. * They always need more than one "M". One person cannot work 24/7. They need to sleep, eat, rest, recuperate. They need time for recreation, and time with their spouse. When the "Chief" Minister of Intelligence is not on duty, there is always an "Acting" Minister(whether they're the "Deputy Minister" or "Junior Minister", or whatever they call them). Same thing with the "Chiefs of Staff", and the "C.M. Secretaries"(like Moneypenny). They gotta have 3 shifts, and those who work on the weekends. * The Ministers who were obviously available(but not always necessarily the "Chief" Minister) were: Lieutenant Colonel Gareth Mallory, Vice Admiral Sir Miles Messervy, Rear Admiral Marian Hargreaves, Sir Jack Gavascon(Never Say Never Again) and Sir Richard Pilchard(Kiss Kiss Bang Bang comic book miniseries) could've worked opposite shifts and weekends. The other secretaries who filled in for Moneypenny when she was off duty were: Ms. Loelia "Lil" Ponsonby, Ms. Poundstone(Kiss Kiss Bang Bang comic book miniseries), Ms. Penelope Smallbone and Ms. Mary Goodnight. * Those who work the weekends might put in 12 hours shifts, just as those who serve as "Acting" Ministers may also serve as "Acting" Chiefs of Staff along with "Charles Robinson"(Deputy Chief of Staff) when Chief of Staff "Bill Tanner" is off duty. I'm sure it would've always worked the same way for Q-Branch. Presumably, Major Geoffry Boothroyd retires in "The World is Not Enough". However, it can easily be argued that he simply changed his mind, and took a leave of absence instead(perhaps using up any and all vacation time that he had accumulated). The bottom line is, that we the fans are left with the task of trying to clean up the mess, and try to make sense of all of this.

They fit into those year very uniformly, and are perfectly compatible with the earlier timelines. Surprisingly, the "Timothy Dalton" timeline conforms exactly to the "Daniel Craig" timeline format(just different years). Basically, the way the 5 timelines work, is: *Literary* (1920 - 1980), *Connery/Lazenby/Moore* (1927 to 1987), *Dalton* (1940 to 1991), *Brosnan* (1952 to 2005) and the *Craig* timeline is "1970 to 2021". I'm sorry if this frightens you, or if it shatters your world. * I simply developed this system, because I was trying to find a way to prevent the earlier films from becoming totally defunct or obsolete. There's no denying the fact that they've established different timelines. There are different James Bond "eras". Why can't we use the word "timeline"? What's so taboo about that? It means the same thing as using the word "era". Now, knowing that there are different timelines("eras"), there's no reason why we can't work the earlier films into the "Daniel Craig" timeline, and the "Daniel Craig" films into the earlier timelines. I've already done all the work for you. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the fact that I figured out a way to do it. * They never come right out and tell us that he retired(for sure) after he left "Madeleine Swann". He may have decided to go back to MI6, and if he did, then it makes it very easy to include the earlier films into the "Daniel Craig" timeline. It makes sense. They gave "Blofeld" the exact same scars in "SPECTRE" that he had in "You Only Live Twice". Why not include the earlier films? It makes it fun, and I had a lot of fun figuring out how they would fit into the "Daniel Craig" timeline. At first, I wasn't sure it could even be done. Then I figured it out, and everything just clicked into place. * The video game called "007 Legends" supports the theory that the earlier films do indeed exist in the "Daniel Craig" timeline. The only part they screwed up on, is they say that the "other" films take place the 6 years between "Quantum of Solace" and "Skyfall", but that's not possible, because we don't have "Moneypenny" yet during that time(not until the *end* of "Skyfall"). However, "007 Legends" comes right out and says that the "other" films did indeed take place in the "Daniel Craig" timeline, and if you wanna get an idea of what they would've looked like in that timeline, then either play the game, or watch the playthrough right here on RUclips. * I don't understand why you are so dead set against including the earlier films in the Daniel Craig continuity. It doesn't hurt anything, and like I said, I've already done all the work for you, so there's nothing left to figure out. So I mean......what is there to complain about? Now some don’t like this version yet again: read the books. This is the modern way to adapt them. Just like Jason Borne books to movie and tbh that movie was the base line in action to drop the “childish” old version and jump to the “realistic” fighting style, actions.

This is my favorite Bond movie. I think the writing is the best and the story flows better than many of the earlier ones.
As a 90's kid, Pierce Brosnan was my first Bond and was a little bitter that he had been replaced by Daniel Craig initially. It's funny now that he is leaving the franchise I will miss how absolutely amazing he turned out to be. Never judge a Bond by its cover.
Being Really OLD, Sean Connery will always be my Number 1 Bond, but Daniel Craig certainly
pushed him close and his Bond was more like the original, charming but deadly; Emma would

Yeah I love Sean too, and was afraid when they introduced that "blond actor" as James Bond. But they did a great job introducing him in the movie, he was really a good James Bond, manly and stylish.

I'm old enough to remember all the Bonds, each one brought a little something different to the role. Having said that, Sean and Daniel are my favorites to this day.

This is strong first outing for Daniel Craig as Bond, bringing to mind the early Sean Connery Films as a charming and stylish but
ultimately deadly/ruthless secret agent; The opening sequence sets up the Film for an action packed ride; Adrenaline fuelled scenes
in Africa on a crane, at the Airport, a fight on a stairwell and in a collapsing building, plus when Bond gets poisoned are all deftly staged;
The torture sequence is a tough watch, and the car crash pretty raw; Plus we see Bond's ruthless and cold side again as he gets revenge for
Vesper's death;
One thing to note, is the Fabulous Music Score, Emma always reminds us the viewers to listen too and appreciate how the Music can
help make the Film, I'm normally quite remiss on this front and cherish her continuous prods to this effect;
Alongside the action Emma delivers a stylish/charming/dexterous/nuanced and incisive REACTION; And this is all done with
sincerity, elan, panache and beauty; 😊🙏👏🙌🙏💃💃💃🎶🎵🎬🎧🎙🍁🍁💃💃;
Sean Connery has always been my favorite Bond, but the first three Daniel Craig ones are the best movies
The truth is all were good, the pre-Daniel Craig are more "fantastic" while Craig's one are more "realistic", but all of them have their forces... Sean of course, but Roger Moore are guilty pleasures, Timothy Dalton has been underrated, Pierce Brosnan was a good incarnation... It's not so much about the actors who are all great, but the writing vary and some are obviously a bit weak an cheesy, but overall it's a great license (to kill). Even the George Lazenby one is great.

I've always really enjoyed this movie, it is a very strong adaption of the, if memory serves, original James Bond novel of the same name, updated for the modern time and including some of the James Bond mythos that has built up over subsequent books and, particularly, the movies. Daniel Craig is a great embodiment of how Ian Fleming described his title character, a well educated and culture thug. I like the incorporation of the more realistic and brutal fights and that Bond actually gets banged up over the course of the movie (a trend started by The Bourne Identity), and of course like any mid 00's action film, there is an obligatory Parkour sequence. The rest of the cast is strong and it is a tense and well set up movie. Really loved your reaction as always, and I would recommend both the rest of the Daniel Craig run (Skyfall is the best, in my opinion) and really the entire James Bond series. One must take them with a grain of salt (particularly the rather painful sexism of some of the entries and also the absurdity of a few of the more comedic leaning ones) but they are fun movies to watch who largely aren't trying to be more than they are.

I saw Connery, Moore, Daulton and Brosnan. Each had their own take, each enjoyable on their own. Craig is unique in that he’s a very human, fallible Bond, yet incredibly blunt and unrelenting at the same time. He’s a focused tool of destruction. Best Bond ever, IMO. You should watch all of his five films. They are unique in that they tell a larger story when seen in order.

I have been a huge Bond fan since the early 80s, seeing For Your Eyes Only with Roger Moore as 007 when I was a kid. In order of my love of the actors: Sean Connery (1962-68, 1971, 1983)-Daniel Craig (2006-2021) (tied), Timothy Dalton (1987-89), Pierce Brosnan (1995-2002), George Lazenby (1969), and Roger Moore (1973-1985). This is going to be a long comment, so I am sorry. Let me say, I would love to see you react to all of the Bond films...finish Daniel Craig first and then start with Connery and work through them all.
- This is the second Bond film directed by Martin Campbell; his other is GoldenEye (1995). Both of Campbell's Bond films introduce a new Bond to the series. Pierce Brosnan is in GoldenEye, and Daniel Craig is in Casino Royale. Another great Martin Campbell film is The Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
- The music is by David Arnold, the best Bond composer since John Barry, who set the bar and tone for Bond music and theme songs. Arnold started with the Brosnan Bonds, and this was his last Bond film. Other excellent Arnold scores are Stargate and Independence Day. I also really love the theme of the film Wing Commander (although the movie itself is...not...good.). The late Chris Cornell knocks it out of the park with the theme song "You Know My Name," which I consider one of the top 10 Bond theme songs.
- The Craig Era of Bond adventures are pretty self-contained. They build up the many constant elements in the earlier Bond films. The only holdover from the earlier films is Dame Judi Dench as M (which stands for Missions), head of MI6 and Bond's boss (given name Olivia Mansfield). Dench started with the films along with Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye.
- The black and white shot of Bond shooting the guy in the restroom, and then the red blood streaking down, is a nod to the standard opening of all the previous films...but Craig doesn't get the full opening shot the other Bonds have until later. Again, these films show Bond as a new Double-0 agent (licensed to kill), not as the tried and true agent the other actors played.
- This was based on the first novel by Ian Fleming in his James Bond adventures. However, legal red tape prevented the production company EON Productions from making a version of it until 2003 or 2004, when the rights became available. Once they did, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson (step-siblings) revamped the entire franchise as almost a reboot. EON, which stands for Everything Or Nothing, was founded by Albert R."Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Later, Cubby bought out Saltzman and produced all the Bond films (except one in 1983, due to a legal loophole and a substantial legal fight).
- Mads Mikkelsen (LeChiffre) tells how, as a kid, he loved poker and was really good at it. During all the poker scenes, all the actors were always good players-except one who had never played. Daniel Craig knew NOTHING about how to play poker and was horrible at it. Craig and Mikkelsen became quite good friends during filming despite being onscreen enemies.
- The Madagascar Chase sequence was partly choreographed by the guy being chased. Sebastien Foucan was one of the founders of Parkour (or Free Running) and played the bomb-maker that Bond chases and fights. When the movie came out, it was one of the most original chase sequences ever put on film.
- The silver 1964 Aston Martin DB5 is a callback to Goldfinger, starring Sean Connery as Bond. In many ways, even though Bond has driven many beautiful cars, the Aston Martin is synonymous with Bond and his lifestyle. That Craig's Bond wins the car playing poker is just a Chef's Kiss moment. One could be bought for around $780,000 USD to $2.4 million USD...but only at a classic car auction.
- 27:19 - This is the classic Martini as written in Ian Fleming's novel. Bond calls it The Vesper, but it is the classic Bond Martini. "Shaken, not stirred."
- The character of Felix Leiter, the "brother from Langley," is recurring in Bond films and novels. He is one of Bond's two dearest friends (the other being Bill Tanner, M's Chief of Staff). Felix represents the CIA and America's special relationship with Great Britain. Jeffrey Wright plays Felix during the Craig films and is the first actor to play the role consistently during the franchise. Only one other actor has played Felix more than once, David Hedison in Live and Let Die (1971) and License To Kill (1989).
- The chemistry between Craig and Eva Green (Vesper) is off the charts. They made one other film together, but had no scenes together in it, The Golden Compass (2007). In the movie, Eva played the witch Serafina Pekkala, and Craig played Lord Asriel, which was the first attempt to film the Philip Pullman fantasy series "His Dark Materials."
- When Bond swerves his car to avoid hitting Vesper lying on the road, the stunt created a world record of the most barrel-rolls a car has made in a movie. It rolled seven complete times, with the help of an air cannon built into the car to help roll it.
- Bond falls in love twice in the novels. Vesper is the first...the second is in the book and movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) starring George Lazenby in his only film as James Bond. Ironically, OHMSS has one of the best storylines that Fleming wrote, but it is often a movie that many Bond fans do not appreciate because of Lazenby, who was not a good actor at the time (but got better in his post-Bond career).

One of my favorite Bond movies, but sad at the end.
" Casino Royale" was actually the very first of the James Bond movies released in 1967 and staring David Niven in the title role. It was a much more comedic depiction of what we would come to know as the "licensed to kill" superspy of later films, and a big departure from the typical roles payed by Niven. In fact, the movie was "stolen" by the villain portrayal by Woody Allen. This production bears little resemblance, if any at all, to that original movie.

Many people say that Sean Connery was the better 007, ls a great actor, enjoyed him in many movies. In my time it was Roger Moore, a good 007 too, but my favorite one is Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig was a good one too, but somehow he doesn't have a 007 face to me like Connery, Moore and Brosnan..to me Craig is like a hit man, but Bond is a sophisticated operative, he kills, but with style.

* His military record is the same from one Bond to the next(Royal Naval Reserve/Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm/1st Battalion Parachute Regiment/Special Boat Service/Military Intelligence Section 6 - M.I.6). One last example would be, the "Literary" and "Connery/Lazenby/Moore" Bond was a "Double-O" Agent for 32 years(age 25 to 57, 1946 - 1978 and 1953 to 1985) whereas, the "Brosnan" Bond was a "Double-O" Agent for 17 years(age 33 to 50, 1986 to 2003). However, the "Dalton" and "Craig" Bond was a "Double-O" Agent for 13 years(age 35 to 48, 1976 to 1989 and 2006 to 2019). It's a lot simpler than that. Connery through Brosnan are all the same Bond. There was a bit of a sliding timeline when Dalton took over to compensate for the twenty year age difference from Moore. But Connery through Brosnan all fought Dr. No, Goldfinger, Scaramanga, and Drax. They all married and lost Tracy. Moore, Dalton, and Brosnan all reference that tragic marriage. Craig experienced none of those things. He's in a contained bubble. We see his entire career from gaining double O status to his last mission. He never met Dr. No, Auric Goldfinger, or Max Zorin. He never married Tracy. Despite Dench reprising her role of M from the Brosnan films, she is not the same M in the Craig films. She never met the Brosnan Bond or had the experiences M had in those films. While the Craig films do occasionally reference things from the earlier films like the use of "We Have All the Time in the World" in No Time to Die or the copying the blinking dots from the credits of Dr. No. Those are all just knowing winks from a alternate timeline.
@@richardb6260 * The Daniel Craig timeline is designed to explain how the other Bond films would fit into the Daniel Craig timeline. It works, it's just that the other films needed to be condensed down into those 5 years(from 2015 to 2019). They never make it clear whether the other films happen/or don't happen in the Daniel Craig Timeline. So they leave it open for *us* to figure out(if we want to). Audience participation(if you will). You can't have Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan as the same timeline, because Bond would be in his 60's by the Timothy Dalton films and beyond. I'm willing to believe that he was a Double-O until he was 59.....but not 60(sorry).
* Unless you wanna say that he became a Double-O Agent when he was 5. The Judy Dench "M" can very easily be the same M. She could very easily have survived "Skyfall"(she may have simply passed out). As we saw in "Casino Royale" Bond never seems to have any CPR skills. So he may have simply *thought* that M died in his arms. All Bond would've had to do, is use his special Q-Branch smart phone to call for some MI6 helicopter from the Scotland Headquarters(shown in "The World is Not Enough").
* Then, at the hospital(or the Medical-Branch at MI6, as shown in "Die Another Day"), she may have decided to fake her own death(like Bond did in "You Only Live Twice"), changing her name from "Olivia Mansfield" to "Barbara Mawdsley"(she may have even had a rhytidectomy, and colored her hair). She was almost assassinated in "Skyfall". Some of the assassins may have gotten away(or there could be more). Why were they so cold to each other when they first meet in "GoldenEye"? Perhaps because it wasn't their first meeting since she decided to return. So by that time, it may have just been business as usual. She did smile at him, and say: "Bond.......come back alive." and then he smiled back.
* They always need more than one "M". One person cannot work 24/7. They need to sleep, eat, rest, recuperate. They need time for recreation, and time with their spouse. When the "Chief" Minister of Intelligence is not on duty, there is always an "Acting" Minister(whether they're the "Deputy Minister" or "Junior Minister", or whatever they call them). Same thing with the "Chiefs of Staff", and the "C.M. Secretaries"(like Moneypenny). They gotta have 3 shifts, and those who work on the weekends.
* The Ministers who were obviously available(but not always necessarily the "Chief" Minister) were: Lieutenant Colonel Gareth Mallory, Vice Admiral Sir Miles Messervy, Rear Admiral Marian Hargreaves, Sir Jack Gavascon(Never Say Never Again) and Sir Richard Pilchard(Kiss Kiss Bang Bang comic book miniseries) could've worked opposite shifts and weekends. The other secretaries who filled in for Moneypenny when she was off duty were: Ms. Loelia "Lil" Ponsonby, Ms. Poundstone(Kiss Kiss Bang Bang comic book miniseries), Ms. Penelope Smallbone and Ms. Mary Goodnight.
* Those who work the weekends might put in 12 hours shifts, just as those who serve as "Acting" Ministers may also serve as "Acting" Chiefs of Staff along with "Charles Robinson"(Deputy Chief of Staff) when Chief of Staff "Bill Tanner" is off duty. I'm sure it would've always worked the same way for Q-Branch. Presumably, Major Geoffry Boothroyd retires in "The World is Not Enough". However, it can easily be argued that he simply changed his mind, and took a leave of absence instead(perhaps using up any and all vacation time that he had accumulated). The bottom line is, that we the fans are left with the task of trying to clean up the mess, and try to make sense of all of this.
No stop getting Bond wrong. None of the other Bond movies take place in this Bonds time line.

It's just a simple matter of figuring out *when* they take place, and the only years that you can place them in, is from 2015 to 2019, and I've already figured it all out. They fit into those year very uniformly, and are perfectly compatible with the earlier timelines. Surprisingly, the "Timothy Dalton" timeline conforms exactly to the "Daniel Craig" timeline format(just different years). Basically, the way the 5 timelines work, is: *Literary* (1920 - 1980), *Connery/Lazenby/Moore* (1927 to 1987), *Dalton* (1940 to 1991), *Brosnan* (1952 to 2005) and the *Craig* timeline is "1970 to 2021". I'm sorry if this frightens you, or if it shatters your world.
* I simply developed this system, because I was trying to find a way to prevent the earlier films from becoming totally defunct or obsolete. There's no denying the fact that they've established different timelines. There are different James Bond "eras". Why can't we use the word "timeline"? What's so taboo about that? It means the same thing as using the word "era". Now, knowing that there are different timelines("eras"), there's no reason why we can't work the earlier films into the "Daniel Craig" timeline, and the "Daniel Craig" films into the earlier timelines. I've already done all the work for you. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the fact that I figured out a way to do it.
* They never come right out and tell us that he retired(for sure) after he left "Madeleine Swann". He may have decided to go back to MI6, and if he did, then it makes it very easy to include the earlier films into the "Daniel Craig" timeline. It makes sense. They gave "Blofeld" the exact same scars in "SPECTRE" that he had in "You Only Live Twice". Why not include the earlier films? It makes it fun, and I had a lot of fun figuring out how they would fit into the "Daniel Craig" timeline. At first, I wasn't sure it could even be done. Then I figured it out, and everything just clicked into place.
* The video game called "007 Legends" supports the theory that the earlier films do indeed exist in the "Daniel Craig" timeline. The only part they screwed up on, is they say that the "other" films take place the 6 years between "Quantum of Solace" and "Skyfall", but that's not possible, because we don't have "Moneypenny" yet during that time(not until the *end* of "Skyfall"). However, "007 Legends" comes right out and says that the "other" films did indeed take place in the "Daniel Craig" timeline, and if you wanna get an idea of what they would've looked like in that timeline, then either play the game, or watch the playthrough right here on RUclips.
* I don't understand why you are so dead set against including the earlier films in the Daniel Craig continuity. It doesn't hurt anything, and like I said, I've already done all the work for you, so there's nothing left to figure out. So I mean......what is there to complain about? You sound like you're being very opinionated. Like as if to say: "No! I'm right, and you're wrong, and anyone who doesn't agree with me is a stupid dummyhead!" I mean, is that what we're leading up to here? I certainly hope not. That would be a little too predictable.

Now some don’t like this version yet again: read the books. This is the modern way to adapt them. Just like Jason Borne books to movie and tbh that movie was the base line in action to drop the “childish” old version and jump to the “realistic” fighting style, actions.
