I'll let you in on a little secret. There are two identical beta lobbies (A and E) with similar levels. A has levels from the B-roll footage (Bowser's sub is closed), and E has levels from the shoshinkai footage (Bowser's sub is open).
So people know, if you're having a hard time with the Lethal Lava painting coming to life at night you can simply enter the room and leave again. The music will be normal peach theme again and the only time it will become hunted and the painting moving around again is after you've left a painting world while still in the basement, so be careful.
you can skip the RNG and go straight to the dark whomp's fortress by going to the vanilla lobby, going to that version of whomp's fortress, and jumping into the floating cage
1:43 YOU CAN GET THERE FROM THERE??? omg i feel cheated, i legit spent like an hour roaming around to finally get to that area, i did eventually find some other alternate and faster ways to get there but man does it hurt lol, this game is huge
honestly parrallel lobby is literally a pain to find, and during night (when your system time is evening) the pipe in plexil lobby sends you to a night variant of the beta vanilla lobby, which does not have the same access to parrallel lobby
I wouldn’t fault yourself for not finding that; the holes on the sides of the entrance there will dunk you into the pits due to the camera taking a sharp turn if you try to walk to the door. You aren’t intended to take it that way but to learn about that path as a shortcut by exploring exits out from that area once you’ve found it somewhere else.
Man, the timer counting down during a fucking dialogue box in z64 followed by you smashing your head against TWO invisible walls at the same time is some genuine buffoonery on the game's part
I tried taking the path at 26:18 after collecting the previous red stars, and it said "you are not worthy". Do you need 50 power stars to be worthy or something? Because I only had 24 when I tried it. EDIT: I read that you need 33 stars on the wiki.
Question : When I go to "You are worthy" it's not taking me to the same place. mine takes me to the final Bower. I beat him and get the grand star. I fly away and then im taken to a checker board with a sign that says "Where is he?" After that a Path to star road. How the hell do you get to the red cursed castle again.. I've been there before.
This may be a stupid question, but do I need to do anything before I can collect the red stars? Because I have like over 70 yellow stars and whenever I follow guides for red stars instead of getting red stars I'm getting Bowser keys. I'm playing v1.0.2
the goomboss fight is messed up for me, the goombas don't pop up to the surface so i can't shoot them into the boss, i'm not sure if its a level scaling thing?
Heads up: when you go to the level for the big scuttlebug, do NOT go to the basement at night because the LLL fireball will chase you and crash the game if it catches you.
Make sure you listen close to the music, if it sounds ominous leave and go back through the door. If it switches to normal it’s safe to go for the big scuttlebug
Confusingly enough, there are multiple variations of Water Land you can be warped to with either the submarine hatch open or closed. If you enter the right door of the castle, you'll be in Beta Lobby E. Entering the far right painting will take you to the Shoshinkai version, which has the hatch opened.
@@sundermc I meant the right door of the front double doors. The lobby that door goes to is slightly different than Beta Lobby A. You'll know because there are no leading "0"s in the HUD.
At 31:39, that door is locked for me. I have 3 red stars. Tried on ACT 0 and ACT 1 (waiting on title screen until mario falls asleep and then wakes up)

Big Flyguy is brutal considering how easy the rest of the game is.
You know, after watching the attack pattern a few times, I realised that Big Flyguy is basically Queen Bee from Terraria.

if you go there again its guaranteed it lets you through. The first time is not worthy and all times are are worthy

v1.0.2 is a different game, a lot of stuff changed and was added, most people aren't even aware of this yet.

i cant find the Big Scuttlebug painting, The place where it should be, there is nothing and i am on 1.0 abandoned
The build known as 1.0 Abandoned is actually 0.9, which only has 11 Red Stars, so you can't actually beat that version

Confusingly enough, there are multiple variations of Water Land you can be warped to with either the submarine hatch open or closed.
