Social engineering tactics started the moment we started watching the video, the moment he was holding his coffee mug introducing the video, you were being social engineered to want coffee hahaha.
I love these videos, they always seem to turn a boring topic into something interesting/relatable, however it has been almost a full year now and this was the last video posted for the course. It would be great if this course was completed, I would even pay it and have these free videos as the teasers.

My Intro to Networking Concepts professor linked your video about WiFi hacking at a coffee shop with the evil twin attack on your wife to our class discussion board to discuss about modern WiFi network security awareness. I immediately was like, "Dude! I'm subscribed to NetworkChuck! LOL!" So yeah that was cool that my professor watches you too. You've probably been the biggest inspiration to me during this crappy year called 2020. I'm one semester away from getting my Computer Information Systems Associates degree + CIS certificate and after that I am going to start studying for my CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, Linux+, EC CEH, OSCP, and CISSP in 2021. You've also inspired me to make my own RUclips channel about my journey to becoming a penetration tester / network administrator so I bought myself a Sony a7c + 24-105 f/4 and downloaded GIMP, Shotcut, Kdenlive, and OBS Studio on my Linux Mint Cinnamon OS. Thanks for being that RUclipsr to literally inspire me to make life changing career decisions as well as sparking the drive for me to start my own RUclips channel. Keep doing you brother. Later in that same episode of breaking bad where Walter convinces the Swartz’s that he hired hitmen who will watch them to make sure they gave his money to his children seems like a good example of social engineering.
I got a call from someone claiming to work for Windows (not Microsoft) who told me my computer was sending them alerts that it was full of viruses and I needed to follow his instructions to let him have access so he could fix it. I pretended to believe him and jerked him around for 20 minutes acting like I was trying but failing. Eventually I told him I use Linux, not Windows. That's 20 minutes he couldn't spend scamming an old person.
Love the fact that you use sneakers most people don't even know what that movie is.. as for other recommendations white collar on TV is a great one for social engineering
I worked for McDonald's headquarters, i remember being to told not to believe anyone who calls the Computer room, (Fish Bowl) it had a glass wall and everyone who walked by could look in and see us in the room, sometime someone would call and tell someone to type in a command line into the computer, if it happens report to your manager...
Hey chuck, a lot of youtube channels lately are using the tactic of showing the viewers their channel stats, particularly the percentage of viewers to percentage of subscribers to try and gain subscribers. Pretty neat bit of social engineering

A service provider company I worked for had a phone caller impersonate our corporate controller and asked an accountant to email him the all the employees financial information and they were dumb enough to do it. Lots of people had their taxes filed early and their refunds taken away from them. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK AND ASK FOR ANOTHER SECURITY VERIFICATION.
I did bad on the second question. I went for familiarity and liking since the caller knew they were students but I missed that it was a limited time offer.... It will help me in the long-run thanks.

Django unchained was a good one. Social hacks all through that movie. The last one was the best.
If you want to learn more about social eng. I would recommend Art of Deception by Kevin Mitnick plus his autobiography Ghost in Wires is good too.
