One episode of Looney Tunes I liked was the race between Speedy Gonzales and the Road Runner it was really hilarious especially with Sylvester the cat and Wile E. Coyote trying to get both of them sometimes using schemes the Coyote used before and always failed blowing up literally and figuratively right in they're faces.
Speedy Gonzales was one of my favorite characters as he reminded me of the Road Runner where like the Road Runner Speedy had a habit of showing up behind people and scaring the crap out of them the way he does making them jump like 20 to 30 feet into the air.

When I was a kid, we had a kitten we named Speedy Gonzales. From the moment it learn to walk, no one could catch that thing. It ran so fast when we came. All the other kittens normal. After a few years I watched it run under and behind a large stack of fir wood. Never to be seen again. I thought maybe the wood shifted and got it. Always made me nervous that year to fetch the fire wood, being I thought I would find it dead. In the end 8 months later their was no cat. We lived on 2 1/2 acres, so it had room to roam. Love these cartoons and this made me believe that our speedy was fine.
The first "yeehaw" was hilarious! Speedy sure scared the heck out of Sylvester! *turns to see Speedy behind me and shakes head then suddenly yowls at him, scaring the heck out of him before he can scare me with a "yeehaw"*
I have missed these old cartoons ,they're really great . However there are so many more that should be available , like mighty mouse. , under dog and so many more.
I myself recently just turned 55. And I used to watch these when I was a kid. Technically still am at heart. I also wish they bring them back. I've new cartoons, not even half as funny as the the old ones were.
With every Looney Tunes character who had an encounter with Speedy Gonzales I'm surprised a lot of them survived with they're nerves almost intact even though with those poor cats in the hospital they're nerves are probably shot to heck and the same with Sylvester the Cat and Daffy Duck especially Daffy as he had numerous encounters with the fastest mouse in all Mexico.
A speedy Gonzales animatronic that is faster than every other robot, runs through the whole building screaming "Arriba" "Andale" and "Yeehaw" and making the other animatronics es ven more active... And getting a jumpscare from out of nowhere like foxy in the first place... I like that idea
I think people need to remember that Speedy is an exaggerated stereotype, yes. But at the same time is an iconic looney tunes character. And like any other looney tunes character, it´s meant to be a silly but adorable caricature with lots of charm. Speedy isn´t a racist cartoon because I genuinely don´t think that´s what they were going for. He´s just a victim of the circumstances. I´m mexican and everyone I know who grew up watching the looney tunes likes Speedy on an ironic way. We know it´s a stereotype but because it´s intended to be a likeable character and because we understand mexican culture we know how and why that stereotype came to be, and to some degree we find ourselves or someone we know related to him. Oddly enough the Mexican television network that had the rights to air looney tunes on aerial (Not Cartoon Network.) never censored or omitted the shorts that he appeared in in their reruns as far as I remember. Which should tell you everything you need to know.

One episode of Looney Tunes I liked was the race between Speedy Gonzales and the Road Runner it was really hilarious especially with Sylvester the cat and Wile E. Coyote trying to get both of them sometimes using schemes the Coyote used before and always failed blowing up literally and figuratively right in they're faces.
Speedy Gonzales was one of my favorite characters as he reminded me of the Road Runner where like the Road Runner Speedy had a habit of showing up behind people and scaring the crap out of them the way he does making them jump like 20 to 30 feet into the air.

When I was a kid, we had a kitten we named Speedy Gonzales. From the moment it learn to walk, no one could catch that thing. It ran so fast when we came. All the other kittens normal. After a few years I watched it run under and behind a large stack of fir wood. Never to be seen again. I thought maybe the wood shifted and got it. Always made me nervous that year to fetch the fire wood, being I thought I would find it dead. In the end 8 months later their was no cat. We lived on 2 1/2 acres, so it had room to roam. Love these cartoons and this made me believe that our speedy was fine.

With every Looney Tunes character who had an encounter with Speedy Gonzales I'm surprised a lot of them survived with they're nerves almost intact even though with those poor cats in the hospital they're nerves are probably shot to heck and the same with Sylvester the Cat and Daffy Duck especially Daffy as he had numerous encounters with the fastest mouse in all Mexico.

I think people need to remember that Speedy is an exaggerated stereotype, yes.
But at the same time is an iconic looney tunes character.
And like any other looney tunes character, it´s meant to be a silly but adorable caricature with lots of charm.
Speedy isn´t a racist cartoon because I genuinely don´t think that´s what they were going for.
He´s just a victim of the circumstances.
I´m mexican and everyone I know who grew up watching the looney tunes likes Speedy on an ironic way.
We know it´s a stereotype but because it´s intended to be a likeable character and because we understand mexican culture we know how and why that stereotype came to be, and to some degree we find ourselves or someone we know related to him.
Oddly enough the Mexican television network that had the rights to air looney tunes on aerial (Not Cartoon Network.) never censored or omitted the shorts that he appeared in in their reruns as far as I remember.
