Brandon, loved the tier list. Now you know we disagree on a few, but one that we can absolutely agree on on either end of the scale is resident evil. 4 remake and that goddamn disappointment snoozerville. Considering that we had limbo and inside from them you would think snoozerville would have been better. There's definitely a few on this list I haven't played, killer frequency being one of them even though I thought I had but I was confusing it with another game 😂😂😂 I think if I had of played some of the games that were middleers for me later in my journey I'm already getting a little annoyed but how many walking Sim horror games were getting. I know people loved Madison but that one for me was good but not great.
The problem with walking sims, is that for every 45 I dislike, I’ll find one or two that I really love… so I just keep coming back, and buying the ones I don’t like, hoping I’ll find another Soma, or Outlast. Plus I do understand that these type of games are much easier/less expensive to create, so I think that’s why we’re seeing so many release from indie developers. But I do think that market is becoming way over saturated, it seems like there’s a new first person horror walking sim releasing every damn week. Btw, don’t sleep on Killer Frequency, especially if you can get it for a decent price!
Great list here I need to go back and finish a few of these myself. I’ve had the Medium sealed for like 8 months but just have never played it 😂 After hearing how meh it is I’ve just not had the motivation to boot it up. But hey it’s October so maybe that’ll be the push I’m missing. Scorn not being on here is hilarious what an L that game was 😂😂😂😂
To be fair to Scorn, the only reason I didn’t include it was because I only played like an hour. I would like to give it a go at some point, I know it has a physical release, if I can ever get it for 20 or less, I’ll probably scoop it. But to be fair to you, I definitely was not hot on it in that first hour lol.
@@UnnecessaryRambling Yeah as collectors we both are probably going to take the L by buying a physical copy 😂 It had so much promise but just fell flat in every aspect except for art direction and atmosphere it’s crazy. I’ll probably finish it in the future I was told it’s not long and I put in about 4ish hours so I was almost done with it to my knowledge. Great list though here’s hoping next years horror games are as strong as this years.
Hey my man! Signalis is on ps5 btw and layers of fear has a wonderful story imo. Ok so yuoni was ok.... Song of horror is too long but beautiful, and I'd say amnesia seems ok but I will never buy a digital game only
Can you buy a PS5 version? I know it only has a PS4 physical release, because I was searching high and low for a PS5 copy lol. I’m actually surprised that Amnesia doesn’t have a physical release, those games seem big enough to warrant a physical run
@@UnnecessaryRambling I put my foot in the ground bro. I won't even buy dlc. I'm scared to lose out on fantastic games like soma which I played and loved years ago but enough is enough. There's so much out there. No disc, no fucks to give. Signalis ps5 version was on play Asia but I seem to be wrong brother. I think it got canned? I remember seeing the label but I'm still on PS4. We "met" over resident evil 4. The remake is like literally one of my favorite games which is hilarious because I didn't like the og one at all. Walking sims are awesome brother. I suggest taking a sick break from them so that when you try one again it has a shot at resonating with you.
Most (if not every) game on this list is available on PS5 & Series. “PS5 horror games ranked” is just a more clickable title than “9th gen horror games ranked”
Great video dude. Love the spooky games. I beat The Medium and yeah it was pretty disappointing. You didn't miss much there.
I love the worlds they build so much, but I just find the gameplay so boring lol. Hoping they have luck with the SH2 remake

@@UnnecessaryRambling for sure! I actually already picked up killer frequency and I need to play it!
Great list. Can not wait to play the Quarry with the wife.
Perfect game to play with your lady!
It's worth checking out Visage. I've heard it's quite a scary game
I played a bit of it, I couldn’t really get into it. Might need to jump back in at some point
Enjoyed the video!
Thanks man! 🙏
Great list. I thought Callisto Protocol was amazing.
It’s such a bummer that they’ll likely never get a chance at a sequel, I think that next game could’ve been something really special

I played through the quarry at least 5 times 🦝
Hell yes! Such a cozy replay
Is there any horror games on ps5? All of mine are on my series x

No one talks about Burnhouse lane, pisses me off
You can just recommend it…. no need for anger
@@UnnecessaryRambling Im not mad i just can believe no one talks about it.
Is very good game from the creators of Cat lady.
Brenda Song in The Quarry - ❤
She rules in that game, really strong cast across the board.
