Haha funnily enough, this room is barely bigger than a walk in closet. Which I guess helps make it look like that’s an entire wall of games behind me 🤣
Holy hell man, that's quite the collection haha. I would be so overwhelmed by the amount of games I still had to beat if I were you, and that's even if I didn't want to keep buying new games as they came out. But you have a bunch of great games in there, so I'm jealous of the collection for sure. I'd love to see your collection for other console generations sometime. It would be a cool trip down memory lane to check out your PS4, PS3, Ps2, etc. collection as well.
I don’t really mind not finishing games, especially if I’m not totally clicking with it. My bigger issue, is the amount of games I haven’t started. I don’t wanna have any games in my collection that I haven’t atleast tried to play. I’d like to do some other collection videos in the future for sure. It’s a massive time commitment to record and edit collection videos, but they seem to do pretty well, so I’ll try to get out one a year or so, alongside the PS5 collection update each year!
@@UnnecessaryRambling Yeah that's totally fair. If you've tried a game and aren't enjoying it, I would agree that there isn't a need to force yourself to finish the whole thing, that's just torture lol. And hopefully you have some time to get to those games you haven't finished over the next couple of months, I feel like November through January of next year are a bit lighter on games so it's a great time to hit up the backlog. And I can't even imagine how much effort goes into a longer video like this, so props to you for putting it together and just wanna say the hard work is appreciated :)
Here’s a link to a Q&A I did awhile back, there’s a short room tour in there. Unfortunately the WWE copyright struck my video & blocked it worldwide lol. But I think you can still view it with the link. Let me know if it doesn’t work ruclips.net/video/C_SN4Fm2Fd4/видео.html
It’s actually really surprising how much physical media support the PS5 gets. I’m constantly shocked by the indies & AA games still releasing physically… & most of em with all the content on disc.
Yeah, I hate to re-buy RE7/2/3 on PS5… but I prolly will as soon as they release lol. I wanna have all of them on one system. Thanks for watching the whole video man!
Damn brother, what an awesome collection you've amassed so far! Some really incredible titles in there. Just a couple remarks regarding a couple games. If you can I definitely recommend trying to shoot Metro Exodus up your priority list. It's a phenomenal game, easily the best one I've played this year out of the 51 I beat so far, and it gets even better if you've played the other 2 because of some story tie ins (though you can also watch a story recap). Also imo the way they handle UI and HUD is super impressive, almost everything (map, compass etc) is shown in game which creates an awesome experience. 100% agree with you on your Baldur's Gate 3 take, but I did finish it this year and I do think it's worth a go. This style normally isn't for me at all, I strongly disliked the combat (and tbh it only ever gets marginally better after level 5 or so), but ended up giving it a 9/10 because most of the rest is so strong. However, dropping it down to the easiest difficulty setting made me breeze through combat a lot faster, so that made a real difference in the end. Might be something to look into. And I'm finally going to play through Chernobylite this month in anticipation for Stalker 2, which by very far my most anticipated game of the year. I already played the OG trilogy a couple months back and the Metro games before that, but I just want to soak up as much Zone related content as I can before November 20th lol, so Chernobylite seems to fit that bill nicely. Great to hear you talk about competent gameplay because that's the thing I was most worried about. Also just a quick note regarding the DRM thing on Xbox. Its online requirement has essentially been removed , and now even the majority of XB1 games don't require internet to install & play on Series X. And of course Series X games don't need internet either unless it's some stupid nonsense like the Halo Infinite debacle. So apart from those types of exceptions or publisher-related issues, the only games that still need internet to install & play for the most part are the OG / 360 versions because they're emulated. I think XB didn't do themselves any favours in garnering trust when it comes to physical media, but I also think there's still a lot of misunderstandings as for their current status (which is 100% understandable and their fault, mind you). Haven't been commenting much but I try to catch your videos as often as I can. It's fantastic to see you grow up as a channel whilst keeping true to your awesome OG self! 💪
Ima try to get to Metro asap. Prolly won’t be this year, as I’m kinda in GOTY catch up mode for the rest of the year prolly. I have like 8 games sitting here staring at me, and I know I have atleast 30 more hours of DAV ahead of me… along with the upcoming releases…. Definitely getting to that grindy part of the year lol. But I’d really like to get around to Metro in 2025, but man 2025 is looking like the most stacked year of new releases I’ve ever seen…. Hopefully a few things will get delayed, and I’ll definitely slot Metro in! Appreciate the heads up on the Xbox DRM stuff! Does it still have the mandatory startup connection? Where you have to connect to the internet once to get the console working? I know all the new PS5’s are doing that dumb shit too. I can’t understand for the life of me why that is necessary lol Appreciate all the support homie!! 🙏
@@UnnecessaryRambling Yeah next year's gonna be crazy as well, too much on the pipeline already. I totally get that, you only got a couple months left and there are still quite a few big ones left. I think I've only played like 8 or so 2024 games so far, mostly been going through my backlog cause I was starting to have that nasty feeling that otherwise I'd never catch up lol Yeah Series X does require internet the very first time you boot up the console for that initial setup (so stupid, no idea why they do it), but after that it's no longer required unless you want to get the console updates they put out (EDIT: just make sure the console is set to 'Home console'). And of course, bc for some dumb reason they only offer 1 50GB disk on the games they publish, some of those won't fully be on the disk if they're bigger than that (Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 are the 2 main examples not counting stuff like that Halo Infinite nonsense). But the online DRM as a whole got quietly removed back in 2022 IIRC, which again is a testament to their stupidity. I mean one of the main issues with that whole XB1 era, and you don't want to make it public and obvious that you got rid of it? They're so incomprehensibly inept at times 😂
what a video! The highlight being, you providing a summary, for pretty much every game in your collection. 1) Which NBA 2K (PS5) is your personal fave? BTW i own the 2K16/2K23 Jordan editions. 2) I appreciate your preference for the Judgment/Lost Judgment titles via the Yakuza universe. Word! 3) Any chance of an 8th gen collection video? It would help identify your takes on those games that have "fallen through the cracks." 4) Take care.
My favorite NBA 2K game on PS5 is probably 2K23. I think that was the first one that really introduced the eras mode in a big way. But none of the modern ones hold a candle to NBA 2K10-14 imo. Loved that 5 year run of NBA2K games. I’d definitely like to do a full PS4 collection at some point, might wait until there’s a bit more nostalgia for the console, but forsure will make a video on that at some point.
Best Buy actually has a really solid sale going on right now, where certain games are buy 1 get 1 50% off. I got the new Monster Truck game, and Pepper Grinder off that lol. But Visions of Mana was available on there, and a few other like super new releases.
That’s a solid chunk of games there. I’m working towards a lot of these for PS5, I have them saved in GameEye. A lot of the indie games or platforming games I tend to collect on the Switch. Switch has been my main focus lately but I’ll probably go back to PS4/5 after the Switch 2 comes out. Oh and I got the idea from RetroRivals but any games I haven’t touched I try my hardest to leave them sealed.

@@UnnecessaryRambling *It's just a regular Action/Adventure game like any other. Souls-Like isn't strictly based on how difficult a game is, if thats the case then every hard game is a souls game, lol. It's more so a mechanic/formula rather than just how hard a game is. True Souls games usually have save points where aside from saving your progression, respawns enemies as well, which gives it a rogue-like element to force you to level up to progress the game to beat Bosses* *You have to play atleast one Dark Souls game to understand what I mean.*
To each their own i respect that however " don't like souls games " all i have to here not content for me. Again everyone SHOULD like what they like & play those games without that diversity there wouldn't be good games.

I actually have thought about a name change recently. Thought about “Backlog Bully”, or “Game N Ramble”.
@UnnecessaryRambling the first one sucks, the second works though!
*Huh? Rise of Ronin a Souls game?? Lol*
It’s a souls like isn’t it?
@@UnnecessaryRambling *It's just a regular Action/Adventure game like any other. Souls-Like isn't strictly based on how difficult a game is, if thats the case then every hard game is a souls game, lol. It's more so a mechanic/formula rather than just how hard a game is. True Souls games usually have save points where aside from saving your progression, respawns enemies as well, which gives it a rogue-like element to force you to level up to progress the game to beat Bosses*
*You have to play atleast one Dark Souls game to understand what I mean.*
To each their own i respect that however " don't like souls games " all i have to here not content for me. Again everyone SHOULD like what they like & play those games without that diversity there wouldn't be good games.
Respect homie 🫡
@UnnecessaryRambling I subscribed & will watch content for you responding I appreciate that. Appreciate the dedication taking the time to play all these games.
