      Great movie ! Your right he doesn't die , his acting was pretty dope. He was just crafting his skill and getting better. My point was Art Imatating life. We got so use of Pac dying. It's hard to believe he's really gone. Goat 🐐

      @@antg113I noticed in Gridlock'd, that was the one character Pac played where he was trying to make a change.

    The alternate ending fits better. It would have fit Bishops earlier line of taking destiny into your own hands. (Classic film either way.)

      Director said when he had to call him back in to re-dub the “don’t let go!” etc lines, he said it was BS, to which he agreed. Then he said, “Can I make it a half-assed scream when I fall?” and Dickerson was basically like hell yeah, then maybe one day I can fix this back to what it’s meant to be

    The alternate version makes more sense of Pac's character in the movie. It would've been best. I envy Pac's ability, man. ❤ 👍

    i think the most poetic ending would've been Q not having the strength to pull Bishop back up because Bishop shot him in the arm, but neither ending acknowledges that

    The whole sequence earlier in the movie where Bishop and crew are watching the ending of “White Heat” and he is getting worked up into a froth over the character committing suicide when he realizes he’s trapped (don’t think they showed the suicide, just the “Top ‘a the world, Ma!!” bit) is setting up this original intended ending. “You got to go out in a blaze of glory if you got to!”, so what seems like a small change makes a lot of it almost not make sense. There’s also the blink-and-you-miss-it info about how Bishop’s father was sexually assaulted in prison and is now disconnected because of it, which would further increase his fear of incarceration. It all kind of comes together with this ending

    They shouldn’t have killed off Bishop. I think they should’ve ended up having him go to a mental institution because of how psycho he was.

    Hate it. They used the right ending. Bishop would be more likely to fight his way up and turn around and push Q off the roof, rather than give up.
    And yes, I know what he said earlier in the movie about "controlling your own destiny" but I also believe that [Bishop believed] that he could truly talk (or fight) his way outta anything so why give up if he believes he could somehow get away?

    • @loftonrembert3877
      @loftonrembert3877 Год назад +9

      Actually the director wanted to use the alternate ending but the movie company made him change it. I think the alternate would’ve been better because it showed pac was a rebel to the end and the reason he chose death over jail is cause of what happened to his dad being raped in prison Bishop didn’t want torment so he let go

    • @OnlyUknow2
      @OnlyUknow2 9 месяцев назад +5

      @loftonrembert3877 damn that makes a lot of sense he knew deep down he couldn't fight got the juice or courage when he got the gun. He didn't wanna end up traumatized like his dad. I forgot all about that. His dad being raped in prison. I remember when I first saw the movie, I didn't believe his dad was raped in prison cause that was a different type of trauma on his face ... like war trauma. But reading your comment it makes sense that he would choose to drop instead of being saved. I like the 1st ending better the alternative ending is to complex I feel like there's a few different reasons why he would've let go.

    • @OnlyUknow2
      @OnlyUknow2 9 месяцев назад +1

      This is truly one sad movie. Cause looking back at it... it was the bully in the Neighborhood who spoke about bishop dad being raped. That means it was most likely true. The word spread around the hood, shit like that just don't be floating around the hood like that. The bully forgot his name must have been ear hustling over the big homie conversations cause ain't no way he came up with that on his own.
