----------------------
In this clip, Khalil Kain discussed the alternate ending to Juice which saw Bishop take his life into his own hands rather than having his life slip away as was seen in the original release. Khalil blamed focus groups on the change and said that the ending chosen lacked the authenticity of the alternate ending. He spoke about the fear of incarceration and how the alternate ending tapped into that fear and the lengths young Black men are willing to go to avoid being absorbed into the system. Why do you keep referring to the character Bishop as Tupac?
Juice is one of those movies that can't be remade
Obama you need the absolute best character selection to even think about the remake
Facts
IZZEM DARK and best writers nigga tf
But will be remade tho
Obama Don't say nothing because now they will remaje it & f### it up! ps they are remaking Superfly but they can make that more moderate & up to date though
I’m glad they didn’t remake Juice. It’s a classic and Khalil Kain touched an interesting point.
Exactly
Even if Omar pulled pac up I figured pac would throw Omar over.
LOL FACTS
Yup!!!
That's exactly what would have happened.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Artis Johnson lmaooo
Khalil looks like maino mixed with Terrance howard
King Woochi word?
King Woochi maino says that's not his brother. Never even met him..
twitter.com/mainohustlehard/status/23013330186?s=19
Na he look like maino n terrence j from 106 lol
I can’t unsee this now lol
It’s hard to believe that this man was 54 years old at this time
WAIT WHAT?! I thought he was in his 40's!!!!
Black don’t crack fasho
He was 34 at the time
He was 28
He was 19
Damn i wish they had DVD deleted scenes with this alternate ending
Tre' Haws they do on the 25th anniversary that came out last year
darrell Jones good looking fam Ima cop that
They have a bluray and dvd that specials with the alternate ending.
It makes sense remember the movie they watched at Steels house
Cason Tha Commentator exactly
Keymo Suenos Bishop"if you got go out that's how you go out", that muthafucker took his destiny in his own hand"
Cason Tha Commentator
Steele: "hmph. Some destiny."
MISCDesigns what you know about destiny?
Dawan Saunders what you ever had control of?
Steele: "I control my life"
black dont crack. khalil kain dont look 53
He's half asian
Your point?😂 He is also black
Tupac in Juice had the original Erick Killmonger ending.
JusBeeChannel facts
This whole interview will be about Tupac but that’s okay.
Every title has Tupac in the headline.
Yeah it is but it also open things up for other conversation like this interview did.
xkidmuddy123x yerr
Right lol
Chris Da Crisis The only hip hop artist who comes remotely close when talking about multiple talents is Ice Cube. Only drawback is that he lacks the consistency that Tupac had.
I liked the traditional ending because it showed that beneath all the bravado was just a scared kid that didn’t really want to die.
exactly lol and same scared kid didnt want to go to prison 🤣 both endings it show he's a real sucka. idk how the alternate makes it better at all
@@LuckyJackson2020 because Bishop’s dad was raped in jail,if you looked at the beginning you can tell his dad manhood was taken while he was in prison serving time,he thought about letting Q help him up til he heard the sirens and thinking about his dad being raped,he couldn’t picture himself dealing with that,so he killed himself
100% agreed, glad they stuck with the ending that they chose. It made more sense to show what Bishop was really like underneath the tough guy character he was playing.
This interview is 85% about 2pac
Yep
Aye yo Biiiiisssshop.
The reason 2Pac/Bishop's father in the film was so messed up is because he was traumatized from being repeatedly raped in prison, and so that had a major impact on Bishop's decision to "go out/take his destiny in his own hands" instead of being arrested. It is clearly the better ending and it's a shame the focus group didn't recognize that.
“...and I don’t give a damn about Raheem eitha!”
Man, Khalil spoke ALOT of gems in this one!💯 Peep game!
Alternate ending was definitely a major impact and tied to the character of bishop.. The Director did not want to promote suicide .. nonetheless show a trend/message of choosing death over jail .. either way I understand both views ⚡️
Great interview Maino brother
Truth have spoken. Thank u!
Khalil Kain Doesn't Even Look Old. He Was Born In 1966.
He was born in 1964
Damn, Khalil looks younger than me and I'm young.
"HOW MANY TIMES I GOTTA TELL YOU IM NOT MESSING WITH CHARLENE NO MORE" - Raheem
It woulda made sense too, at the one scene where Bishop is confronted by the Dominicans the one he ended up killing said “he’s suicidal”
They were puerto rican not Dominican
& he said his father was prison bitch
Me and my sister love that movie ❤️❤️❤️💯💯
My sister & I love Star Wars.
Bruh do any of y'all remember when they was gonna Remake Juice and Soulja Bou was gon play Bishop 😂😂
Lol Soulja boy juice cut was wet asf. It wouldn’t be no worse then this superfluous my remake
Kimani Graham I remember pics bout this lmaoo wbu didn't it happen I know it was awhile back

Kimani Graham unfortunately
😂 all 6 parts about Pac
lmaoo
Abe B rather it pac then Wakashi69
We would really be like Bishop was crazy as fk for real lol kinda wish that was the ending now
Tupac questions once again
Tha. Kid If you don’t wanna here then stay off Tupac related videos!!! You know for a fact that he and pac were in the same damn classic movie...So of course their going to ask him Pac questions 😑
Focus groups; the gift and the curse. You can learn a lot from input. You can also be a stooge for changing your art to give the audience what it wants.
Word Lifer
Go with your gut. That’s what Barton Fink said.
WesternBeef Supermarket That would be more of an Unfocused Group. Lol
Yo Raheem!
2 pac made the movie juice good. The fact that the movie was connected to a rapper, expanded its audience. Pac's legacy and immortal superstar status after his passing made it even hotter. Other wise it would have been passed down as a random movie and forgotten....
Pac brought in the audience. Still, Juice is a classic on it’s own merits. Good story, good casting, acting and direction.
Dude still looks young. He ages like a vampire
This man do fly then n more now 🤘❤️🔥chulo 😍🥰💃🇵🇷
Kain did his thing in zoo man a movie people slept on.
Can you believe that he was 53 years old in this interview
I saw the ending and honestly it would’ve been better .it seems like the deleted scenes are always better than what made the Final Cut .R.I.P. PAC . You did your thing as Bishop
This guy doesn’t age !!!
Wow imagine the alternative ending. How would that have turned out?
RIP Kalief Browder @ 3:11
Great actor
“A Yo Raheem “
I went thru phases first I was in love with Raheem then Q then tupac😍😍 never steel but his character is still iconic
The actor who played Steel did damn good acting in the movie.
Tasheka Sevilla cmon u know u had a crush on steel too
“I did the hoochie coochie my friend!”
Brian Roberts lol
Samuel L. MackiN 😂😂😂
I've seen both endings and they both are full of feelings...
gorgeous
Truth Spoken
The thing with a focus group is the distributor is looking at this not as art but as a business venue.
And y’all better mention them leaving out Bishops father going crazy after being raped in jail. And that’s what possibly Bishop to lose his mind.
Rey S. Where'd u get that from?
TheLfunk77
They said it in the anniversary release.
Love juice! Literally everything about it. Queen Latifah, special ed etc everybody was in there
So the entire video is about juice? Cool
How far have we gotten?..... TIME towards perception
He looks great for 55
REMEMBER SOULJA BOY TRIED TO REMAKE JUICE 😢😢😢😵😵😂😂😂😂
best tupac movie of all time top 10 best movie of all time...second ending was the best
What is a focused group?
Damn this Nigga is never going to be asked about anything other than 2Pac.
I feel him
Before any interviews are conducted , I'd say absolutely no Q & A' s about Juice. Now lets talk about me , my projects, ambition, and such.
That movie fucked me up mannn
Would have been a better ending.
The alternate ending was better. It was in the hood on black market tapes. The good old days. That version is in somebodies basment from the hood. The crazy part is this was a clear situation were white people dont get it. I hadda have this same conversarion with a white person i know. N she heard me. N tried to understand. But she didnt get it.
I like the movie JUICE
Dat nigga Roger oh
Kash 510 i like pussy
Larry Hall 🆗
Kash 510 i like pleasin a woman while she pleases me
TheLfunk77 she would be a lucky women I think
'THAT NIGGA SCARED'....MY FAVORITE PART
I believe that's what happend to hip-hop. People came in and told folks how to create their art. That's why we have what we have today, a bunch of nonsense. Like hip-hop police, movie police. I get what he's saying.
LowNineZ exactly
LowNineZ They allowed the enemy to atler the art into something pathetic
You’re both exactly right.
They saw how much they could profit from Black culture and didn’t hesitate to swoop in and take advantage.
I like the original ending cause it showed how he was that big in bad cause he knew what happened to his dad in jail in he didn't want that faith that has a better message .than God made that happen it will let the young ones know even the villain is scared of jail
Nah other ending fits the story more
OH WOWW
Khalil kain should played sam cooke in a movie
I'm glad they didn't go with the alternate ending of Juice cause the alternate ending made Bishop look weak
Him begging for his life was kinda weak.
How about the scene when Raheem got shot and when Bishop hid the gun pac had his own real38 on set
sun'sayid RAhsad yup, you can see it in his waist during the scene
Wonder if him and Maino are related lol
I can tell looking at this Interview That he was visibly upset That the Original Ending was taken out, which Would have perfectly Tied in to Bishop's Character of him taking his destiny in his own hands and would have made for a much better ending. And they almost Edited out the Scene of Q Throwing the Gun in the River (Which was the entire Point of the Movie of Power of the Gun and Corruption of the innocent) because Test Audiences didn't like that Scene either
I guess people wanted Some Unrealistic "Go out Guns Blazing" Type of ending
It was organic tho to box it out. Seems the gun fight was too easy. Bishop was only fearless with the gun. Lets see what you got with those hands.
Look like Terrence from 106&park 😂
Juice 2 Bishop survived his fall now he wants revenge..as a ghost, surprise ending.. Bishop is really dead he just thinks hes alive
Everytime vlad talks I feel like he’s lying.
Hot damn he still fine as frogs hair!
Ninaboosexy sanchez
👀
Chris Nieratko I hope you black talking about niggas where I from if you white and say nigga you will get your ass xxxxx
Chris Nieratko i dont lol
Chris Nieratko hell yeah, why Nota?
Ninaboosexy sanchez Frogs have hair?? 😁😁😁 I gotta use that somehow. Sounds like some new Orleans type stuff.
Damn vlad all you gonna talk about is juice this man did more than just juice
He looks like Terrance J brother
Bishop didn’t want to go to jail cause his dad got raped that’s why his pops was like that in the beginning
Heavy Hustle Empire how you know that
Anthony Kelley he wasn’t being real about that even 2pac called Radamames Mom a hoe
What's up with his tattoos tho?
Thus should say “where bishop kill himself”
Focus groups f up the creative
I bet you won't demand the gun from 2pac anymore 😂😂😂😂
Bishop was cold hearted he shot and killed Raheem then showed up at his funeral hugging his mom's that's real foul same thing with The Five Heartbeats when Red ran over Sam with the Dump Truck then show up to the funeral. Elenore slapped the shit out of Red right in the Church, Red was a heartless Bastard too both movies reminded me of Juice and The Five Heartbeats they both simalar to each other
No homo but he's a good lookin guy
The alternate (originally intended) ending would’ve been more powerful.
Not really if they gave more of a background story of Bishop. Cause do you know why Bishop wanted to kill himself?
@@pisceanchaniece5066 Always rubbed me the wrong way that Bishop, who was so sure of himself and his intentions the whole movie died the way he did. If he had decided that he wasn't going to go to jail and determined he'd rather go out on his own terms, gives him more agency over his life like he wanted the whole movie. My opinion at least.
@@pisceanchaniece5066 Because Bishop's father (the old man sitting in the chair in the opening scene)went out to jail/prison & was completely traumatized. Bishop understood what prison did to his father, & he didn't want to end up like him. That's why he chose to let go of Q's hand & fell to his death
This is Why DC/WB Films are Watered Down to Marvel/Disney levels of Film Making......Too Many Unsure Opinions on Being edgy as opposed to being Safe.....
Fairplay Terrific damn you dumb as hell what does super hero movies gotta do with juice
QuickSilver,
The talk wasn’t just about JUICE (1992).
It was about ART and how committees at movie studios and record labels add notes to projects. Too many cooks and the original vision of the artist is no longer there.
The comment from Fairplay Terrific is intelligent.
QuickSilver SnD I'm not Dumb lol I was making a comparison to what Khalil was saying about Art being compromised by public opinion.......
BLACK MAN Thank You you understood the Bigger Picture.....
Is it just me or does he kinda look like Dwayne "the rock" Johnson?
At the end Pac should have let go and then as he was falling sprouted wings and started to fly away..... Then pulled a carton of OJ out his coat pocket said.... "I definitely got the juice now bitches" ... Then they coulda did Juice part 2 a couple years later or sunthin
AYOOOO RAHEEM
Yo him and Maino gotta be related .... 🤷🏿♂️
King Fari they real brothers nigga
get the fuvk outta here for real ? shit ui learn something every day thanks
Hope many movies did Pac die in?
HATE is a sign of ENVY he didn't die in Poetic Justice just saying
HATE is a sign of ENVY
He didn't die in Gridlock'd

🤨🤨🤨
He's proud to have never served his country? Damn. That was slightly a bit disconcerting but okay. I get it. We need more candor like this.
“We’re 3 black guys. If you want us to be guilty we’ll be guilty”. Meanwhile, they actually did the shit and the cops didn’t charge them. So......?🤔
Yo Q 😂😂😂Rip Pac the Legend
