Ralphie Lauren TV mainly cause of his death, if he was still alive he'd be talked about as least as too short 💯💯💯🙏🏼🙏🙏🏿, I respect Tupac but most people in the culture can't even name one song by him 💯💯💯
Status- Lock i wish I was born when my brother was born . He was born 1978. I was born 1992. I mean I'm glad my brother used to play all the great albums when I was little but of course I never appreciated the culture as much. First album I truly listened to was the marshall mathers lp
J Crash yea I was a kid. Yet if you talk to any older person they'll say their decade was great for similar reasons, hint hint buddy. I never said 90s era was the best. I agreed that it was great. Im only had hinting the connection of good times lol.
Yeah, 90's were the GOAT era in my opinion. I was born in '93 so I can't really say I lived it like that but I'm just obsessed with the decade in general. The Hip Hop, R&B, urban movies/TV shows, soundtracks, fashion, swag, Michael Jordan, everything...
True I was born in 94 but the 90s looked lit as fuck, the movies, tv shows, mainstream music was actually pretty good, everything just seemed cool in the 90s
I know EXACTLY what he means. The musical energy of the 90's was so intoxicating. With the artists/groups/content that was out then, words almost can't describe how dope it was. What an era!
He hit it on the nail when he said people still play 2pac's music to their kids so true I'm 32 years old and I let my 13,11 and 10 year old kids listen to 2pac and they love it like the not so hardcore songs of his but I listen to all his music 2pac-Legend!!
Diamond Cluster Hustler Very true. Juice was his first iconic role. I also think hes interviewing him bc of the show unsolved that was just on and he knew Pac at one point. Especially for young hip hop heads too but of course he was on Girlfriends, he was in Bones, and his most famous romantic role although minor was the asshole on/off again ex of Nia Long is Love Jones!!! ❤💖❤ Soon as you saw who it was, oh you knew they fucked!!! 😂😂 Larenz wanted to play it cool but then baby came thru talking about where his toasted o's lol . Khalil was such a childish dirt bag but it was so hilarious 😂
He’s absolutely right. I miss the 90’s man, getting pumped up to go buy albums, hanging out with my homies and bumpin music, car systems on blast. Not too much of that anymore 😞😞
So true I also hate the fact that the industry thinks that only white people bought the cds and went to concerts smh. I'll say niggas quit buying cds when digital bootlegging and napster came into play. Before that we were supporting our artists
I know time is subjective, but the 90s was the best time for music and hip hop movies. Period. It was just a vibe that can’t be matched. From the size 42 jeans lol to the all white air forces. 8 ball jackets. All of it was a vibe that I miss dearly.
I watched juice not to long ago, and all I could do reminisce. I jam Pac today! His music and style will never die out, thanks to my mom and uncle, I keep his music alive. Last movie I saw Khalil Kain in was bones, time has been good to him.
like 2pac, i always see my self as a super star but im still not a star yet, smh but about the 90s, thank god i was a kid in the 90s, i experience so much but never thought it would end, i should paid attention to the signs around me but ignore it and once 2004, everything seem to change for the worst
Shit went Digital. It's NO real instruments in today's hiphop.. Even in the 90s at the LEAST most songs had a record sample of old songs that CONTAINED a real band playing real instruments.. Everything now is synthesized.. The vibration is fabricated..
Jeremy Bailey Of course he's gonna ask about pac bruh, the man worked closely with him on a movie and people wanna know these stories. I'm sure all the parts of this interview won't be about pac
He hit it right on the nose about Kendrick Lamar, thats why i really cant get with his music.. The shxt it Derivative. Which mean that shxt is wacc . its cool if you didnt live thru the 90's... But if you grew up in the 80's and 90's then you understand real hip-hop.
Who agree.... 90s music was unique and demanded you had to actually have bars... recent music alot of new guys have completely repeated and copied one another in some kinda way...
You can tell everyone that talks about PAC either gets mad emotional or is at a loss of words . Shows how much of an impact he still makes to this day . The 90’s was dope . Thsee youngsters will never know how epic it was
He still looks FINE LOL he has to be around 50. Good to see him been awhile..90s best decade ever especially for Hip Hop ..a lot talent came out of that decade..glad to be a witness & be part of it..
well said Khalil !!thats a good way to put it and i agree. rap today has no heart, its not the same. i miss all that too. i miss looking forward to hearing pacs new stuff. and just watching him.
sarabi motley23 Avengers and Avatar are two of the dumbest films I have ever seen in my life. They are just loud noises and big special effects, no great story, nothing more. Avatar is actually the worst film James Cameron has made. His great movies were in the past: Terminator 1 and 2 and Aliens. As for the rappers you mentioned, it’s what Khalil said - they’re all just derivative. Today’s media output is just derivative and trash. Only great thing is TV shows I admit. But that’s it.
sarabi motley23 Hahaha! How much money a film makes has no bearing on whether or not it’s good. Fast and furious 8 made over a billion - does that mean it’s a great epic? No it’s braindead crap with effects. You forget that ticket prices are huge these days and Hollywood makes films for China. Face it: avatar and avengers are retarded popcorn crap. Great movies are gone.
Blessed that I got to enjoy the 90s as A kid . Back when you could see Rated R movies as A kid lmao ... Picture seeing Don't Be A Menace in 95 @ age 5 😂
Some young cats don’t understand back then there was really no having the music until it officially dropped. Plus NOBODY sounded the same! So every time you copped a new album or maybe 2! You listened to it straight through! 15-21 cuts! The anticipation for an album then the wait for the 3 or 4 videos afterward. The internet has changed our brains. Idk about y’all but I pick thru a album in 5 min on iTunes. Listen to the first 10 sec of a song & dl 4 or 5 trax. There’s MORE quantity over quality because our brains need instant gratification now. Only a few artists get the “I’ma dL the whole album” treatment. There is STILL good music out there though, just have to search through the endless list of rappers now.
Vlad wanted to mention Tekashi 69 soooo bad when he asked “what song does that for you now”. But he said Kendrick & Cole to not seem like the weirdo he is lol
i was 8 in 1990 and i was 18 in 2000. so i grew up in the 90s and i was a young adult in the early 2000s both great eras to me i cant speak for others .2003 i was 21 2012 i was 30 .i had a great child hood and my 20s where great..early 30s the best...then i got married at 33 and look at everyone younger having fun and im happy for them because no ones experience through life is the same . and everyone has a birthday and you see the world changes as well as your perspective on it with growth and maturity. so who am i to say that this isnt a great era for my 11yr old who loves the music and movies thats out now..it is to her
Every time its a REAL hip hop discussion its always " Well we have Cole and Kendrick" that's 2 fuckin PEOPLE! compared to damn near everyone being dope before. No era will ever overtake the 90s
I was born in 1993. The 90s were my childhood, I remember it well. The thrill of going to a Wherehouse or a Virgin Megastore to pick up the latest album. Back when we had Pop Up Videos, Yo MTV Raps, The Box and TRL. Back when the anime explosion occurred with the help of the sci fi channel and Toonami. Sitcoms were at their best. Disney was the king of animated feature films. Nintendo and Sega pushed each other to develop some of the greatest games ever made. However, while the 90s were great the best era for music was definitely the 70s and 80s.
he is sooooo right. 99.9% of rap music today is trash. the internet destroyed the music business and technology has allowed the industry to be so over-saturated now that you can't even find the gems anyway through the piles of garbage. so much garbage...
I agree with everything he is saying about hip hop now and hip hop in the 90's where they had artist with passion and heart and good music compared to today where the music sucks. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017.
I'm actually more of a Mobb Deep and A Tribe Called Quest fan during the 90s. I'm not a 2Pac fanatic. He says Kendrick and Cole are derivative because hes being nostalgic and I get that, but if you wanna be technical, every generation has it's KRSone, it's 2 Pac, Kendrick Lamar and J Cole.

Music Nthusiast I feel you, born in 1990. I didn't appreciate what they played either till' mid teens when discovering Big L inspired me to do so.
J Crash Ppl were outside more. Your whole neighborhood outside of all ages made things very fun. Ppl had less distractions during conversations.
J Crash yea I was a kid. Yet if you talk to any older person they'll say their decade was great for similar reasons, hint hint buddy. I never said 90s era was the best. I agreed that it was great. Im only had hinting the connection of good times lol.

Khalil is more than Juice, however I enjoyed the interview.
Diamond Cluster Hustler Very true. Juice was his first iconic role. I also think hes interviewing him bc of the show unsolved that was just on and he knew Pac at one point.
