Guys, Please never, ever apologize for your production values. As do it yourselfers, you are doing a fantastic job in providing such an invaluable historical service in capturing these first person narratives primary sources.
This was really interesting. I had been in the Army in the late 80s for a couple of years as an Infantryman. I got out because I wanted to be a CIA Ops Officer. I learned Farsi and got my degree. I just went to a Midwestern state university, but I only graduated with a 3.0, although my Farsi skills were really good, speaking, reading, and writing. So the summer of 1992, as I was about to enter my last semester of college, I mailed in my resume and cover letter. I was in a face-to-face interview 72 hours later. He had yellow highlighter all around my Farsi bullets and Army bullets. I went through that and then a couple of other lengthy phone interviews and they gave me a point-of-contact, Pat, to work with and she would give me updates every other week. As I was about to graduate, I had reached the point where I would go to Langley for psychiatric, medical, etc. But when she asked for my final transcript and I told her my GPA was only going to be 3.0, she seemed to change her tone. Lo and behold, about 6 weeks later, I got a "Thanks but no thanks" letter. I ended up going in the Air Force. So while it didn't work out for me, I am always interested in hearing these types of stories.
@@TheTeamHousePodcast Yeah evidently, pre-9/11, the CIA put where you went to school and your GPA very high on the priority list because I know a guy who was in a similar situation to me at around the same time who had been an MI Officer and he ended up getting turned down too.
Labonte was in the mortar platoon with us at 1/75 in the late 90s.Dude was squared away and seriously jacked. Sad to hear he got smoked by a Haji. One for the airborne ranger in the sky.
This is my first listen to 'The Team House'. I am hooked ...will look up Patreon info today. Awesome guest for my first listen, and look forward to his book.
Seems like a very likable guy. Keep it up team house, appreciate being privy to conversations that I in no other way would be able to. Can we get Drago the frog from that other endeavor you had previously?
Listen to a lot of this stuff for the stories not the philosophy. Although on occasion someone will surprise you and teach you something. This guy is really balanced and seemingly reasonable. Good listen.
Man, if you really want to thank the people that keep us safe. Thank this man, thank other men and women like him..when they come out, because if they don’t, none of us know they exist unless we served with them. These are the true heroes behind the scenes. Giving years of there life, even though almost all of them give it willingly and ask for more, never recognized. Stars on the wall, names only known to those who are worthy enough. Guys like this might think I’m going over board. But not really, most of us in the general public have no idea what people like you are out there doing everyday. Secrecy is inherent in the job descriptions of that agency and for good reason. But still, you all deserve to the same reverence we show our military. Thank you, and the men and women like you
Getting Zapped from Infrasound is no joke! I've experienced what I call being phased by it many times before, to the point of having several different types of symptoms including the sudden urge to pee, to the headaches and the cognitive issues with balance even simply having to concentrate to think how to put one foot in front of another to walk. Very disruptive and hard to understand but there's alot of things we have little idea about. I've been put to sleep by it even. There's various degrees of effects. Everything from fear, to dread and anxiety even. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've encountered infrasound several times and there's many other sources for it, some even natural like thunderstorms, some from animals like Elephants, Large Cats, and Whales use infrasound. Most of my experiences have come from close personal encounters with the forest people. Thank you all for your service and dedication to our country!
There have been studies saying that the side effects from infrasound are one of the explanations for ghost sightings. Infrasound can really mess with your mind.
The comments make me aware of how divided the US is in terms of political outlook. It's also interesting how Mark is considered "deep state" by people who are unabashed fans of the US SF community.
Is Marc the guy that John Kiriaku said that they had some beefs because Marc was keep saying that Kiriaku thought that he was better than Marc just because he born on the island?
Enthralling interview. I was reminded of what it felt like to have an El Salvadoran national policeman put a gun to my head and saying some pivotal things to his lieutenant (in front of me) that made the encounter a 'nothing'. This fine officer's history makes me smile with pride over his valor and influence. ..as to the Trump stuff🤨..the American people deserve better in the President's office. A re-examination of how we do the electoral process is due.
Just found out you've experienced the Havana Syndrome I know u probably won't believe me or want to hear it but those things and worst are happening to American Citizens by American govt and citizens that participate in what the internet labels gang stalking and its ruining lives I know cause mine has been and still is you don't know how much yo u talking about this helps just this story has got my mother to listen to me for the first time in 12years that's its been happening. We need help tho horrible things are being done by horrible ppl...by you and others speaking up we can get to the bottom of why that navy yard gunman and others if you think about go out shooting others
Damnit Jack I hate it when you do this shit, I could listen to Marc tell stories for a year straight!!! This guy is legendary!! And has the nickname”lamb chop”? Awesome!!!
I really wish they would make sure the sound is good before doing an interview like this. It would be so much better because this is harsh to listen to
Mr Polymeropoulos, great interview...enjoyed your anecdotes. I also saw you on the Rachel Maddow show 12/11/2020. Sorry to hear about your incident in Russia with the "directed microwave energy." Trump is known for his disdain of FBI & CIA. I wonder if Trump and his cronies have betrayed US officers that are working overseas?

You're not a bloodthirsty man Marc, it's called "taking out the trash". Thank you for your many years of sacrifice and dedicated service.

That type of approach to recruiting mystifies me. I wonder if it is still like that.

@@valdivia1234567 Nowadays I would think the agency has a very hard people retaining people with a 4.0 who can walk right onto Wall St. jobs.

This was my favorite OGA deep state hack interview, so far.

Was there mention of operation KTMFTTTKM?
Please interview Tom Satterley (CSM from the Unit).

Man, it sucks that it took going to the media to finally get sent to Walter Reed.
Glad it worked though.

Greek Americans are well represented in US military and intelligence services. Gus Vasilakus RIP, John Kirioukos ex FBI
Gust Avrakotos , John Kyriakou , George Tenet , George Kalaris , John Negroponte
I hope he gets better and recovers

What does he think about Biden’s involvement in China?
God Almighty bless our spooky poos

This man is made our of Glock material! Love it
The “Trump has an affinity for Putin” narrative is ridiculous. Trump talking to world leaders is his job! It’s called diplomacy.
There was NO evidence
KT is triggered
And the military leaders thought Joe Biden was a good choice 🤣🤣🤣
