The USA now has $33 trillion of national debt. $23 trillion of that was run up post 9/11 and it continues to grow at an alarming rate. Other nations are looking at the US and trying to figure out if America is going to go broke in the medium/long term. Its not hard to see that the Saudi's and Indians are hedging their bets by maintaining good relations with the Chinese. America cant even defend its own border from illegals. It certainly wont be able to afford to be the defender of the Free World.
