This is my first listen and reaction to IFHY by Tyler, the Creator (from a rocker's perspective). Enjoy!

This song is about a girl that the whole Wolf album storyline is based around. If you listen to the whole album, it'll tell you the story. This song makes a lot more sense in the context of the album but its still great on it's own. This album is one of my favourites just because all the songs together tell a coherent story.
This song is amazing alone, but whem you hear it while listening to the full album, it's out of this world
For cherry bomb, the songs I would suggest is: deathcamp, find your wings, fucking young/perfect, smuckers, okaga ca. In my opinion, cherry bomb isn't as good as albums like wolf or flower boy or igor but the 5 songs I suggested are highlights and are super super good, okaga ca being my favourite tyler song of all time

As an artist and producer, Pharrell is probably Tyler's biggest influence. The guy apparently at one time produced 43% of all songs on American radio. He was the original "weirdo black skater dude" & funny you mention Tyler at the Grammy's because Pharrell got sh*t for wearing a tuxedo and shorts to the Oscars. But I will say Tyler is a weirdo to the industry but ALSO to normal people. I think he's a little too irreverent and honest for most people but which is also why he has such a cult following.
You gotta love Tyler's production on his tracks. Absolutely genius
If you haven’t already, you should check out some of his music videos. As great as he is as a rapper, his visual creativity is on a different level compared to everyone else. If I’m not mistaken, I know up to this point he was directing all of them himself, not sure if that’s the case still with his newer music.

In the beginning of the video you said you know very little of Pharrell, which made me sad and excited at the same time honestly :D I would totally recommend you to check out his band N.E.R.D. with Chad Hugo (1/2 of the Neptunes) and Shay Haley! You can kisten to their album "In search of..." which has rock influences. Would love to see you reaction :)
I am very curious what you think of his next album Cherry Bomb bc that album is al over the place with music. All genres are on that album haha.
