    No two guitar players are the same. Every person that plays has a different way of playing the same instrument. No two souls are alike so its hard to sound exactly like someone else. Slash did a great job on this and I'm sure it was a HUGE honor for him. Nobody plays like Jimi or Slash. I've seen Slash play live and he's one of the best. Great tribute to the best player ever.There was only one Hendrix and i wish he was here

      Yep slash has a more raw metal feel as where Jimi had that soul and funk ,u tube prince his cover is the best I've ever heard ,prince was head and shoulders above most guitarist Gary Clark Jr. Said quote prince is the best GUITARIST in. The world and I fight someone over it ,prince has got that funk soul rock vibe ...

    Slash played it like Slash, which is cool, I enjoyed it.
    If I played it, I would play it like me.
    If Jimi played it, he'd play it like Jimi.
    Every guitarist has his own unique signature.
    You either play the guitar well or you don't.
    You either enjoy the music emanating from a person's hands or you don't.
    Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
    Music is intangible, you enjoy it in the moment or you miss it.

    • @Theoneandonly88able
      @Theoneandonly88able 9 лет назад +3

      "Hendrix is Hendrix, no one else can be Hendrix"
      Well uh, its a tribute if you haven't caught on, just so that your aware of these things. No one can imitate Slash either, but people still do it. You cannot recreate what has already been done. Anyone that thinks otherwise is very narrow minded. Also despite this being a well known Jimi song you do know that "Hey Joe" is a cover right? The original autorship is Billy Roberts in 1962. So really billy Robert is the original, but Jimi did a good recreation.

So, I was doing a little last-minute research to perfect my speech and I saw that Mitch Mitchell died!! I was like WHAT THE BOMB?! I had to change my speech because I said that Mitch Mitchell was the last living member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

    @gladmanosadman Because it's not about "copying" Hendrix, they just picked Slash because he's one of the few guitarists who has his own unique style. It's not like oh lets pick someone who plays a fender because Jimi did, no you don't get it, guitar playing is all unique to who plays the instrument, not just pick someone because they have a similar style to Jimi.
