I did the same thing on my truck you don’t leave them out for oxidation you polish them and And it puts a killer shine on there that’s protecting them and keeping them shiny, that clearcoat is old and cloudy.
Gotta love all the concerned Kyles in the comments😂They always find anything that people do 'wrong' and yet, they wouldn't be here if they weren't looking for the same thing....... or would they?? Been looking for a quick way to remove the bad clear on mine. Good vid.
so let me understand this...you used a stripper than can peel both clear and basecoat and you sprayed it in a wind tunnnel of a car wash where the overspray would coat the truck..and thought that was a good idea?
Ok not much of a narration in the video but background music going on through out the whole video, why did you even strip the clear off the wheels? thats there to protect the aluminum from pitting?
1998gst4611 To make the wheels look shiny, and ive had other trucks before and done the same thing. And they still look very good, I polish them every once in a while.
Dude why are you wasting time cleaning up those wheels?...they are boo-boo...get cha some 20 in wheels with some 285 50/20 tires and you would be alotr better off..and scratch the 285 50 for the front tires..you will be rubbing when you make u turns..instead get the 275 45/20 for the front and you'll be good to go
@@jackhammah1775 yup, factory is way better. Just bought an old Yukon that someone thought the were “pimping out”. First line of business, return everything to factory.
one of my rims are peeling the clear coat will this take all off?
Looks great, planning on doing this to mine. Don’t know if it was good or bad thing they added this clear on the wheels but seems easy enough.
What did you polish them with afterwards?
So removing the OEM clear coat which is there to prevent oxidation, and then you just leave them to the elements? Is that how this works?
Pretty much, I have done it on a few trucks and friends also. So far no oxidation we just polish them every other month

Does it remove the painted areas or just clearcoat?
You should put a 2k clear coat on those before they oxidize
I will spray them with remover again and then use the clear coat
They don’t oxidize
Hello..indeed some tires like this ..could you tell me the size tires these are..I have the same exact rims 15..so ican put on my 94 chevy pickup
My wheels look faded would this still work?
I believe so. And after you do this next day give them a polish
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc what happens if I don’t polish them bro?
Did you have issues removing clear coat from the textured areas? it stained my clear coat yellow and was very hard to remove
No, on one wheel I did get a bit of yellow but that’s because I have not polished. It’s good to polish them after doing this
I have this same issue. Im just going to sand the textured areas really smooth and repaint. I may brush mine on and wet sand smooth
Big difference, thank you posting this . How many cans did it take?
Just 1
After you spray it, do you let it sit or wipe em or anything before you rinse em?
Let it sit for a few minutes
Im a try it this weekend 🤞
Looks good thanks for the video

Great video. What store did you buy this from? Looked on Amazon and all they have is Decal remover for high price of $43? Thank you.😊
O’Reilly
Did they get ugly after you did that?
One of them starting to get small rust spots, problems is I did not polish them. But I can hit it again and polish them after
Were can I purchase this product
Courtney Benton I bought it at o Reilly, I know Walmart has it to.
I can't find that stuff anywhere
What junk yard was this?
Looks like a fun place to take a nap.

nice
Think they discontinued this, due to causing cancer. I’ve looked everywhere for it.
That was ballsy spraying them on the tahoe with the overspray blowing on the paint lol. Looks awesome though! Gonna do mine soon on my 98 k1500
Forget the paint...how bout the lungs🧐
@@barbparker4982 yeah seriously. It’s not good stuff lol
nice 👍
What size are those tires?
RAUL SOTO 235/75/r15 i had bigger tires, but went with this since it’s the only size they make the all terrain KO2 for 15s
Grtruckingdemolition actually no it is not I run KO2 31x10.50R15 which is almost like the 265/70 I tjink
Carlos Zamora thanks for letting me know, next time I will buy them somewhere else, guys at discount tire said that was the only size for 15s
Grtruckingdemolition no problem man. Still really nice looking videos
And the rubber on the brakes as well as the rotors...oookay......
والله شايف الفيديو ماني فاهم وش يقول
Looks horrible
Why?

Why 20s what’s wrong with factory
Everybody don’t like flashy crap

20s don't look right on a 99 stock way cooler 20s on an 07 yup
