I would like to take this opportunity and tell you *my short story* , hoping that some of you may find it helpful at the appropriate time. I jumped into flight sims at the age of 21 y.o. in early 2013 and have been amazed by them ever since! It started with *War Thunder* , where I joined my first squadron (Wild Spirit) and in a few months I have become a fighter squadron commander. This happened due to how serious and goal-oriented I was about the tactics and cooperation between people in the wings, as well as the constant search for ways to improve as a pilot and a team, with duels and training. We've attended tournaments and even won one, feels like it was yesterday. Later I switched to *Il-2 BoS* and *DCS* , meeting lots of great people. In my opinion flight sims community is one of the best out there. I've never seen so much respect for each other, as you can find among flight sims players. What I'm trying to tell you is that this fantastic world of victories and losses feels so great it can make you forget about reality. At least this is what happened to me. My life was giving me multiple hints to take a break from games and take a look at my life and where it was going. I've been losing connections with great people as well as time and opportunities, all due to my obsession. It all ended when my GPU died after I had one of the best flights with my great friends from Serbia and Croatia. Two weeks later I woke up cause of explosions and *war* coming to my country. The thing that took me back to reality was, as you all may know, is what happening now in Ukraine. Ever since I've changed the way I think and act. The biggest thought and regret was that I was not prepared for this and I had no chance of taking my relative out of the danger. I was highly motivated to join the military, but my relatives and friends helped me use this energy to study to become a front-end developer. As of now, I'm halfway down the road in my study and it's feeling amazing to have a purpose in my life. *I pray every night that one day I will be able to use this knowledge to make this world a little better for people and Earth.* No aggression and war may be justified. We all must aim to have better self-awareness and understanding that no human being at the moment of its birth wishes death on anyone. *We all can make this world an amazing place to live.* Also, I wanted to let you know that in dark times like these - the best feeling is when your entire family gathers around one table. The air is filled with love and grace, even though I didn't notice it before. *To summarize my thoughts:* Flight sims are just as fun if you play them 1 hour a day, as 10 hours a day! When you are hungry for another sortie with your friends - you will remember it in every detail and will be looking forward to the next one! Friends and BONDS you make in such situations are priceless. Still, the most important thing in your life will be the ability to help your family at the right moment! A smile on their face is unique, so go hug them right now and tell them you love them. Be aware of yourself and your life! Try figuring out as early as you can who you want to become in life and listen to your heart and hear what dreams is it whispering to you. The best way to hear it is to turn off all screens and sources of entertainment and just sit alone in the room with your thoughts. It is never too late to start making your life better and helping your beloved ones people and animals. *The future of this channel:* I still think about flight sims and my friends every day. Once I'll reach important milestones in my life I'll be happy to share all our stories with you, meet my friends in the sky and post our adventures. Without ever forgetting the true values in life. *You guys are amazing!* I can't be thankful enough to each and every one of you for the views and comments you have posted on this video. *If you would like to ask me anything about flight sims or anything at all you can write me at freelancingdd@gmail.com.* Also, I would appreciate it if you considered subscribing to this channel or supporting me via PayPal.
WVR Modes: Am I a joke to you. You can use any of the WVR modes (Vertical/Boresight/EO/HMD) to lock someone and then flip the radar on and off to IFF them.
Yeah, because of how the plane's crash is simulated, each aircraft in DCS is initially becoming static on the ground for less than half a second before they explode. They hit the ground, stop on the ground and then explode. This lucky player had one in a thousand chances to eject right at that moment when the plane is simulated to first sit on the ground before it explodes. So this is a simulation glitch but it looked nice=)).
That is like Anatoly Kvochur(sorry if spelled it wrong) he ejected at airshow think the pitot tube hit the ground in Mig -29. He sadly has passed away in 2024.
I am using OpenTrack with 3-point IR clip for head tracking. It's very cheap and easy to make, you can use it in a number of games that support TrackIR. The smoothness is achieved by fine tuning the settings in OpenTrack software. Thank you for noticing this 😉
@@mostlyflying4146 I'm using a ps3 eye camera with opentrack too(and a 3d printed IR trackclip) and it works but its not as smooth as that tbf, i just put some values and stayed with that... maybe its cuz dcs is too laggy to put so much time into tuning it 🙃
@ZahnatomLetsPlay My PC was barely enough for DCS also, until my GPU died one week prior to a full scale invasion of Russia into my country. Had no chance to fly since then, I'm stuck with my old laptop. To make it smooth try this guide bit.ly/3IpjtVI (especially the "Input" part). But curves are a real game changer, I might make a video about that once I will have access to my main PC.
If you ejected earlier you'd be smashed into the ground because of the high speed of descend. Looks like there´s a small moment between impact where speed is zero and game recognizing you just crashed. Would be nice if you made a bug report to ED.
