I think I enjoy your channel so much because it is real. Nobody’s life is always perfect , we all have ups and downs ,and the fact that you share the ups and downs makes it a channel that I can relate to.
My studio looks like a big mess too and I already decided that I was going to start going through it slowly and getting it where I needed to be. Like you said, I had this idea of what I wanted it to look like and I had to get over that because I needed the space to store not to decorate. It will take some time because like you, I have a lot of stuff that I’m not using that I want to sell online or at a Yard sale or gift to friends but I need to go through it. Thank you so much for such an inspiring video and thank you for always being yourself. Your channel is a lovely , genuine, and gentle place to visit !

What’s rare these days is authentic, unabashed, vulnerable people, who are honest with the reality of life’s struggles, and willing to share life’s joys. This is YOUR channel, for YOUR community. We are here for the journey, not a simple, quick, glossed over, aesthetically pleasing destination. Thankyou for sharing the truth of most of us creatives… we have a hundred projects on the go at once, and another hundred we are collecting things for. Also, forgive me, but I lived vicariously through you when you ran barefoot in the grass. Becoming wheelchair bound in my thirties has robbed me of that simple pleasure. Can I just say that your videos are so kind to me, and I often realize while watching them how unkind I can be to myself! I hear you give yourself grace to rest, not to compare, to sit down for a bit and have tea, and to allow yourself to step back with your creativity and pause. I’m constantly guilting myself for not being a steel steam engine and pushing through all those difficult moments…and it’s cruel to myself! I realized I would never treat an employee that way, so why do I do it to myself? Thank you, Wendy, for your beautiful self and for always being kind/reminding us to be kind. ❤

I love step by step organising/ decluttering. I feel like I've been buried for the past 5 years but now I'm sprouting and I've started upstairs, small steps to make our house the place I feel calm and inspired. I've given myself the year to go through my house, room by room. And maybe next year the garden and the year after painting the house. And by that time a decluttering will be needed again! It is a process and I'm coming to enjoy it more and more.

I enjoyed watching this video….I declutter and organize then several months later I get in a pickle again!! That is just how I am. I move things around and work then I feel better again…a wonderful creative cycle.

Loving my time with my beautiful rabbits 🐇 my pals and be amazing to never have to worry about finances ever. People we love slip away so quickly think of all the jobs I worked hours spent that I'd give up to be with the people that have passed away to have time with them again no money could ever replace them. That's what I try to remember working on my end. A few special people who very much love you deeply even your messy side is way more valuable than anything else on earth to me in this world. Beautiful to have a safe, stable home to call your own with loving people in that home 🏡 the rest seems a serious bonus.

I know how you feel about having a clean up. I make jewelry and journals, and lots of other crafts, when the mood strikes me. Before each project , I lay out all the things I need and then begin, once it's done, I have to clean up before I can do something else. It's too overwhelming to me, to work around the clutter. I need to go through my stuff and sort it out also, what I don't use and I need to get rid of, etc. It is a process indeed! I too am sensitive to light, sound, spaces. As a fellow procrastinator I have a little advice: tidy up at the end of each day. It gladdens my heart when I get in the kitchen in the morning to an EMPTY sink! At the end of a creative session, I like to put everything back in its alloted space then next day it's ready for more. Thought I'd share as I've been watching you tidy up a few times!!

I really like that you are authentic. Thank you. The aesthetic "Instagram Perfect Workspace Award Area" is just not realistic. I've struggled with that myself. I've figured out ways to cover with curtains or drawers or doors, because sometimes, I just need clear space. But having a creative space with works in progress is not going to look unused. And that's OK. Part of the joy of creating is to be inspired by the things you are or might be using, the colors, the textures, etc. The occasional thorough cleanup and reorganization is coming at some point, and I know that, so I can let go and make my artwork. It feels good to clear out and make it ready again. Happy week to you and James. Hugs.
I'm glad you were able to "win". I'm so jammed up. I feel like I've been psychically paralyzed since around 2016, when my stress got so bad that I've had to hide with my head in the internet to keep from losing my shit. Before that, I had been "shopping for entertainment", to get out of the house. I finally reached the point that I knew I had to stop bringing "beautiful things" home. Then my house got worse due to a needed renovation that I haven't put back in order. I'm not in a spot to worry about aesthetics, I really need some serious basic cleaning. Real is real, real is good. Your channel is so valuable, beyond watching and learning from your artistic process.

The last six months have been a challenge for Me and our family and the support I’ve had from you and the lovely people on your community has made a huge difference. I hope that we have helped you through the rollercoaster of these tricky times. Loved watching you declutter/clean the studio. We are almost done with a epic house/ garden and shed declutter. 4 skips , 100+ bags of rubbish and donations. It’s taken 9 moths to get here but can really see the difference. And I have my Attic craft /art studio back.

I laughed when you talked about being a minimalist, until it comes to arts and crafts stuff! Guilty too! I have also started to go through those things to get rid of the things I don't use or want anymore. You are a treasure! I just love organizing and sometimes I can get lost in it and then not create!! I don't have art space so it's in and out of a cupboard and that can really be an obstacle to getting to it! I need to schedule in that time to pull it all out, set up, and then how many hours to create and leave time and energy to put all back in the cupboard! Hi Wendy, all you can be is yourself. Clearly life is challenging at times like it is for everyone. Glad I am not the only one that whilst working chaos takes over. Seeing you tidy up I think yes Time for me to tidy up. I can’t work in chaos, and yes sucks the energy out of me looking at it. I work from home, so even more important tidy and organised.
