AI isn’t inherently bad, its the fact that more human jobs are lost that is a very huge problem. Despite these human jobs being lost, does the cost of good or service being sold reduce??? Absolutely not. Only big companies and studios have the power, R&D and data to fully utilize AI tools to its best potential
Ideally it forms as a collaborative tool. I do think there’s a lot of value in doing stuff like inbetweens in combination with editing sofware as that tends to be some of the most mindnumbing aspect of animations or even doing something like you fully color X amount of cels and the Ai colors the rest of the cels you designate which if specific changes need made the human comes in. There’s already a big process that studios use to like a formula to color these things. I could name many more things however. This is great in theory, but in practice all i’ve really seen is the use and creation of ai based “tools” that aren’t tools for artists. They lack very fine controls and really is just art if it were infinite gacha. Might even be able to reroll parts of the body, but still it’s a roll as opposed to a precise repeatable action like how layer adjustments, liquify, color gamut selection etc. the tech can’t be stopped but the overarching trend of how it’s used and developed can be guided/influenced. As an individual i’d love to make things that normally would be prohibitive due to requiring years of training in numerous disciplines and just an insane amount of manhours that no individual could actually do in a reasonable amount of time. Just as an example, it’s popular many have seen it, Avatar the movie. If that was something One person wanted to do by themselves, a team of 1, couldn’t imagine how long it’d take, or really any weekly released anime. So if Ai could enable this, that’d be good. Though I think the magic of absolute control really hinges on hardware that allows reading of the brain, stuff we have but is in early infancy. Otherwise it’ll never really do what you want due to how it functions. I mean if you don’t give a crap about specifics, then sure Ai is great. But most artists do care.
Tbh... Technology evolves. This means that AI might be a standard in production in a few years.
thats true
My dream of becoming an animator is fading before my eyes :')
yea it sucks

AI also has a huge environmental impact, it takes a lot of energy for it to create stuff from prompts
"Copyright stick" 😂😂😂

The whole AI anime isn't really a bad idea
But an anime about tiktok, hell nah
😆
pov you only watch anime but don't know anything about anime
i better not see you in public
Well that makes sense, a supportive tool to help animators sounds good. The emergence of AI in anime and other animation projects was inevitable
animator conditons cannot suck that much
I'm 100% sure AI anime sucks
A lot of anime is the same, anyway. AI will only make more of the same schlock.
