Chapeau bas Monsieur Glenn Hugues.....
Glenn is a freak of nature. Drugs almost killed him, and he finally kicked their ass. He's a machine. Absolutely great band, too. About the first time I've seen a guy play the riff to "Burn" absolutely correct - as well as getting Ritchie's sound. Great video!
My wife and I caught this show. I'm a long time fans of Hughes (Purple, work with Iommi, BCC). He's still just amazing. And his love of this music just created a great energy in the room. Happy to be able to watch this and relive the experience.
I saw the same show on Long Island about a month ago. His voice at his age is amazing. A total freak of nature and he gets it. He knows he’s lucky to be alive. I really wanted to like Yngwie but I ended up walking out, he was that bad. He needs to change his act and evolve, so incredibly self absorbed
Loved Deep Purple and had even seen them in the mid 70's in Pittsburgh not long after they fired Rod Evans. I really loved a few of their albums but Come Taste the band stands out to me big time. I loved that band. Bolin was such a tasteful guitarist. Coverdale on vocals. His last album with the band I believe. The best version of Highway Star I have ever seen was Chickenfoot.
I never listened to him or the Deep Purple band songs but as I was searching for concert tickets in my city, I saw that he will be here next week. I randomly watched a few performances and I enjoyed all. Should I buy tickets? (I expect only one answer but asking anyways :D)
I was at this show - packed for Glenn Hughes everybody standing going ape shit the whole time. Then Yngwie loses at least 20% of the audience, and half the ones left are sitting down. We left after about 5 songs.

He's touring as "Glenn Hughes". People bought tickets to see Glenn Hughes. So what if he has a picture of his face behind him on his tour where people paid to see him? He also killed it.
And so what !!!... the photo happens to be from an album that he's celebrating from 50 years ago can you save that you did that? He's one of the nicest guys you're out of line with that comment
Glenn is the real deal...amazing musician, and nice person...the backdrop is cool. Be grateful he is not an insufferable ass like Malmsteen....hes a hack
Glenn and Jon Lord were what made Burn and Stormbringer great. Coverdale was in musical puberty, and Richie was... fine. But Glenn was on another level... and still is
@SamPlaysBass49 interesting,...when I watch and hear those Bitter Sarcastic interviews with Hughes about Ritchie Not wanting to go along with Him and Davids "Shoe Shine" Music. Especially the part when they had No Tangible material for a New Album after Burn and they All were waiting for Ritchie to come up with something. Well, "He walks in the room one day and has the Riff to Stormbringer"...says Hughes sarcastically. Ironically, He's been capitalizing on That and Burn for 50 fucking yrs now because He has remotely NOTHING as memorable that He, David or Jon came up with themselves. So He has to play those 2 songs along with some mark2 stuff to keep that lame audience interested!
@@highwaystar3780Not to mention that wayyyyy after Ritchie bailed on the the stagnant discord after Stormbringer, Glenn and his sinus cavities were a huge reason for the Purple split after Come Taste The Band.
both he and Coverdale never miss an opportunity to speak badly of Deep Purple and especially of Ritchie Blackmore, but both continue to eat only thanks to Purple and Ritchie's music... hypocrites!
What the hell are you talking about? Coverdale calls Richie his musical mentor, and I bet you that less than 5% of his wealth comes from Purple, as Whitesnake was bigger than Purple ever was in the US. Glenn as well always praises Richie in interviews.
Glenn Hughes continues to eat because of Trapeze, Black Country Communion, The Dead Daisies, Music for the Divine, Resonate, and because he keeps his enormous talent honed. Blackmore's social incompetence and Gillan's egotistical envy are irrelevant for anyone who's been paying attention
Making history every night...........God bless U Glenn

Great video!
yes indeed,Søren Andersen from Denmark is a fantastic guitarist HE ROCK'S
Good point. His licks evoke Ritchie really well, and the tone unbelievably well. I was at the show in this video.
Гленнушко! живи долго и радуй нас своим креативом! лонг лив Гленн Хьюз!!!
The voice of rock, Glenn Hughes!
What a voice at his age!! Incredible!!
God bless Glenn Hughes!!!!!!!
You are real without deception

We did the meet and greet with him before the show, and he is just one of the most gracious human beings I have ever met.
Glenn is a miracle of LIFEE!!!! SO good and smooth!! Tasteeee the Band!!
Hes fantastic..I saw him last nite here in Detroit....amazing
Man, I saw them last night opening for Yngwie Malmsteen and they were totally on fire! One of the best performance I’ve ever seen.
Opening for... malmsteen?
Is that a joke ???
@@krisskriss1223 I know right? It made Yngwie’s performance even more intolerable.
He opened for Malmsteen here in Detroit last nite.....mostly everyone left after Glenn, he crushed it.
Malmsteen was boring af
who would have thought that Malmsteen would play next... it wasn't easy to guess...
Just look at the wall of amps in the background... And suddenly I realized there will be Yngwie afterwards... Some things never change...🤣🤣🤣
The BEST band performing around the world right now! AND Kickin ASS!
His stormbringer screams are legend at any age let alone his…,
The best!!!
Great show. Love the mark 3 songs as much as any line up. Glenn is amazing at 71 years old. The band He has is fantastic too.

Setlist, please 🙏😍
I’ll post it tomorrow 🤘🏻❤️
If the audio was only half as good as the video....
I try my best🤷🏼♀️
Must be yngwies 200 Marshall heads in the background
🫣 Please tell me ALL those Marshall Heads are just props 🤯
Those were Yngwie’s and I would say at least 2/3 were props because you could see the lights on the real ones
who is the guitarist? Soren Andersen because I hope Glenn Hughes make a new album with this line up
Fantastic, Glenn!!! Thank You so much!!!

Incredible concert from a legend but opening for malmsteen? How is this possible?? Is it a Marshall contest??
I agree! It should’ve totally been the other way around!
Was he opening for Yngwie? Just asking because of the many amps in the back of the stage...🤔
What song is on 27 - 29 minutes ? Saw him last night at Anaheim - Glenn is amazing. 🎉 would love to know the name?
It’s called Mistreated. One of my favorites!
The guitarist's pants couldn't get any tighter
😄😄😄👍👌🍷🍾🍷🍾
The 80s called wanting their spandex pants back!
It's Reb Beach on guitar?
No, but how amazing would that have been?!
Quem é esse guitarrista?
Soren is no JJ Marsh, but is enough.
