I've got to do this job tomorrow. Mine failed coming off a motorway slip road. Luckily I managed to get it going in 2nd gear and pull into a lay-by. Thanks for the video. Without it I wouldn't have known how easy the job might be.
Nice video! It's also a good idea to lube the clutch actuator arm by removing its circlip and putting a few tablespoons of gear oil while doing this job - it solved getting into reverse and first on my GT JTD which has the same clutch system. There is a whole thread on alfaowner for this who have solved many clutch issues this way. Looking forward to more videos! Thanks. ;)
Not yet, I'm planning on changing mine this year since its squeaky. I believe its not too difficult to do but you have to get under the car to undo some stuff
@@LueysGarage I have problems with my clutch it stucks at a certain point I changed the slave cylinder by following your tutorial as I had lost brake fluid your tutorial helped me a lot but my master slave cylinder need also to be replaced keep up the tutorials you helped me a lot with my GTA 👌
Part number is 46835408 and I used a genuine Alfa one from Alfaworkshop.co.uk, but they also sell TRW which is probably the same if not better quality 🙂
@@kahhauwong 100% worth doing, my clutch is now completely silent and works brilliantly. Its a pretty easy DIY job as well, you'll just need someone to help you bleed the slave cylinder afterwards by pumping the clutch pedal. A lot of people get left stranded due to these old cylinders failing so its important to do this as preventative maintenance
@@LueysGarage that great...Thanks again. On more thing the part number that you provide for me is 147 GT? I am just having manual 147 twin spark. Appreciate that...
@@kahhauwong yeah for the twin spark its a different gearbox and the part number is 55184041, check here for all the different options www.alfaworkshop.co.uk/parts/147_Slave_cylinder.shtml
We are interested in more tuts btw , all alfa engines have a problem with crankshaft when you push the engine to its limits so do you recommend any mod or fix to that problem ?

Awesome, I might look into that as well if it still plays up! Good tip :)
Do you have a video for the master sleeve cylinder?

I haven't heard of that particular issue with anyone in the Alfa club. I'll ask around and see if there's something I can do.
I don't know of any Alfa engine that has a problem with their crankshafts.
You removed short shift adapter? Why?
I didn't actually, I just uploaded this video really late hahahahaha. But good spotting!
