    I call my recovery belly "Pertta". She is my lifebuoy and saves my life while I am splasging in the sea of struggles. When I see dry land, I know there the full recovery is waiting. 🏝

    This is so helpful, my belly is the biggest thing holding me and setting me back on a daily basis , the fear of it getting bigger is immense.

    Does anyone else in recovery feels really exhausted und tired during the day but can’t sleep at night ? I go to bed really tired (from doing nothing but resting and eating the whole day lol) but then I‘ll wake up at least 2 times and have a hard time falling asleep again. Suddenly I‘m wide awake and not tired at all. I then often think about my recovery and get scared of what I‘m doing and question everything :/ I don’t really have these bad thoughts during the day that much.. Because I‘m too busy eating I guess haha.
    Also: yesterday I felt really bloated but that didn’t stop me from putting on my bikini and dancing&singing to „unconditionally“ by Katy perry 😂😎 I sang that to myself and recorded it so that I can watch it whenever I feel bad about myself/ my body

    So on point as ever Becky. I think a flat stomach is the one thing many, many anorexics chase and idolise. I know it set me off in my teens as puberty changed my body shape. The irony is, of course, that the thinner you are the more pronounced the tummy can look…which is where I am beginning to realise that body dysmorphia can take a hold. I would not have said I had it but thinking this topic over I am pretty sure I am incapable of “seeing” my stomach as it truly is. I suspect many people are in this boat.A very tough one to grapple with. Maybe we have to simply choose: recovery/ more food and life freedom v holding on to what is in reality an unrealistic and pointless goal🤔Reality check again😯

    Watching this made me cry. I ran back at that exact point you’re talking about because I stopped trusting I’d ever get to that final destination where it all would’ve turned out worth it.
    Thereby I’ve kind of proven myself that “this approach doesn’t work for me” and now I’m scared to death to try it again. Yet I so badly want to finally LIVE😓

    Hi! Been loving your videos. I’m 6 months into recovery and the belly and I are doing great. She’s full and there but she’s starting to calm down a bit. Question: out of the blue I had a huge sugar craving…reminded me of month 1 or 2. Is that typical? Or am I just bored eating at home to avoid work lol?!

    I refuse to go through this ; I eat a ton of calories, but spread them out over the whole day, so my belly stays flat while I gain the weight

    hi becky! i love your videos!!! i was wondering if you are religious? if so, has religion been a part of your recovery? i apologize if this is too invasive, no need to answer :)

    • @beckyfreestone9908
      @beckyfreestone9908  2 года назад +1

      Good question, I know they have the word “spirituality” in the title.🤔

    • @davida72
      @davida72 2 года назад

      @@beckyfreestone9908 Thanks. I found them. I like that you use the word spirituality as someone who believes in God because there is so many so called spiritual people who dislike religion. You connect religion with spirituality and that is great because that is how it should be. Religion without spirituality is a lifeless religion.

    When it comes to my recovery belly, I keep reminding myself that she’s healing. There’s a lot of organs and stuff in there that has to heal. I can carry her while she heals. It will get better ❤️‍🩹
