Did I have to skip back multiple times because I got distracted by the unbearable cuteness of a little someone finding so much joy in the simple act of saying hello to an electronic device? ……possibly 😂
What a great set of questions to ask yourself! I'm definitely trying those. Also, Hazel is so cute it hurts. What a perfect little MiniMe for a video partner!
Thanks for doing a video on this topic. Fear of fullness is a massive issue for me. This, and your responses to comments on this, thread, are super useful
I remember feeling 'too full' in recovery... then I realized that doesn't apply to ice cream.. it just melts and fills in the gaps from other food. It's science ya know?
So pathetic, but I feel so depressed when I feel full, just because it will take longer to feel hungry again and hence be allowed to eat again (and if I do end up eating anyway, the guilt will consume me). Also feel anxious because I know the discomfort will throw my mood off for a while making it harder to get through the day. Just so many negative associations with feeling full.
Oh my goodness this is me right now because I have been in recovery for only 2 weeks! Super scary! I also have so much bloating and pooch belly! Having a lot of all these feelings!
Being full.....gosh I don't even know the last time I was truly full full. Just feeling the sense of getting full or having food in my stomach to about that point is something that instantly triggers the need to purge. I have good intentions with treats and thinking OK I can do this.... then I feel that fullness and head to the bathroom. Every. Single. Time. and then I instantly run back to Ed....macro tracking, cardio and step counting. Same cycle every single time.
@@beckyfreestone9908 thank you Becky. I’m sure you have heard every excuse under the sun - but working where I do and in the career field i am in has made it so hard. I need to figure something out because it’s been the same cycle for years.
For me I am scared to feel full because I am scared that it will lead to a purge and I'm not physically used to feeling full do you have any advice on how to sit with fullnes?
Does anyone suffer with stomach pain at the end of the day after a ‘normal’ day of eating (tho this feels far to much compared to what we are used to) so I am struggling to fit in an evening snack which is recommended?
What about the feeling of thinking your recovering to fast? I am not struggling with behaviors or struggling with eating anymore, and I’ve only just begun recovering about a month ago. I’m trying to do the all in approach and it feels like I’m doing “to good” in recovery
Well it’s only a problem if you don’t actually want to recover. There’s no such thing as too fast in recovery, that just means you’re that much closer to freedom. Unless you’re referring to weight gain happening too fast and you are defining recovery as gaining X amount of lbs. Full recovery is defined by a mental state, not physical.
That’s a sign your body is in a deficit. Feeling comfortably full takes time and a lot of feeling uncomfortably full until your body starts to have more normal hunger and fullness cues. Be patient and keep honoring all mental and physical hunger.
You’ll feel that all the time, it’s normal in recovery but it’s not actually overeating. You’re body is asking for a lot of food bc it’s been in a deficit. Let me ask you a question, why have you never been concerned about the feeling of under-eating?🤔
@@beckyfreestone9908 but what about when i really have overeaten i.efeelingall sweaty, fast heartrate and i'm at my set point weight ? ( i just struggle with exercise and OCD tendencies - i don't think i need to gain any more weight or that i'm in a deficit anymore)
That’s your opinion that you’re at your set my point but based off your desire to eat a lot of food and still having an exercise compulsion, I think your body feels otherwise.
Literally just waved at my phone screen because Hazel waved and I intuitively waved/smiled back 😂🙈

She’s easily entertained!😂
Hazel cracks me up! She always manages to brighten any dark day I might have ❤

Really, really good questions to ask...hadn't really thought of things that way.

Yep, it’s time to rewire those by eating despite feeling full and Ben doing nothing to “fix” it or make the negative feeling go away.
Rita, I relate to a lot of this. Becky, great reply, thank you.

One of these days you’re just going to have to commit, face your fears and not look back! I hope that day is sooner rather than later for you.😘

So relatable.
What if I always feel over-full? What if I always overeat?
How or should I eat when I am physically full but still have mental hunger?

I would feel disgusted. because I can never eat until satisfaction, i am either starving or eating until im sick. :(
