Nofx still has one of the longest songs I’ve heard ‘The Decline’ over 18 minutes long and a great punk rock song.

The Decline is an "Opus" and takes a NOFX fan or a musician to really appreciate its true epic mastery.

Very intersting view. I am listening to Nofx for 32 years now, love this song. They are very smart but also very very woke. But love is what should keep us together.
Hi, I am from Norway, I completed a PhD degree in US constitutional legal history a few years ago. Growing up with liberal bands like NoFX was a big reason for me going into constitutional legal history. I did my thesis on Plessy v. Ferguson and Brown v. Board of Education and the sad period in between, known as the "Jim Crow years". Now that the supreme court have overturned Roe v. Wade I am really scared of the current supreme court and if they might overturn Brown v. Board of Education. NoFX's song really paints a bleak picture of the future, a future that sadly might happen
I'm a dad of 5 and married and native American woman. And this song means so much to my life personally. I focus on keeping my kids to always be yourself and express yourself because everything else in the world doesn't matter no one on TikTok you tube matter. (no hate) this era of influencer's is gonna be over soon and already starting be who you wanna be and only that! By the way i love you channel and this one matters so much to me thank you for watching and please look at more NOFX and also pennywise!
NOFX has been spitting knowledge and immature jokes for decades(sometimes at the same time). not sure which I like more. one of my favorite bands of all time. (52 year old punk fan speaking)

Reactions to "The Decline" from people that are not very familiar with NOFX never go well. Most are to hung up on the lyrics (which are very good) and not the mastery of the epic opus of this punk rock band.

Unfortunately it's not over. But NOFX kicks ass and they write songs that make people think. How dare they?!?
You really need to do a reaction to the song The Decline by this same band. It's absolutely one of the greatest songs/ballads ever written. The stuff they touch on in it, which was written in 1999 btw, is still just as relevant if not moreso till this very day. Which is honestly just fucking depressing tbh. Literally the decline of america, it's only gotten worse.

But I’ve seen you say numerous times that you won’t hold how or where someone was born against them because they can’t control that. By deeming American girls as not good enough for your sons, aren’t you doing exactly that?
I don't think hes judging value of people. (and perhaps that's not what you are referring to) just his opinion of how his son's will be treated (according to his own mores and life experience)

I dont think you got the point of thise song. Its not about generation z its about what they have inherited. A dying planet and an economy so fucked theres no hope for a future. The outro makes it clear its a companion piece to the decline.
