Berat city

Berat is a city in central Albania, located on the banks of the Osum River.
It is the capital of the Berat County and is known for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture and historic landmarks.
The city has a population of around 60,000 people and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Albania, with a history dating back to the 6th century BC.
Berat is also known as the "City of a Thousand Windows" due to the numerous windows on the white-washed houses that are built into the hills surrounding the city.
The historic centre of Berat, known as the "Mangalem Quarter," is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
